View Full Version : PSO (Ver. ?) Kick/Eject/Boot Option addition?

Would a Kick/Eject/Boot Option for the person that starts a game be beneficial or hurtful addition to PSO (Ver.?)?? I would like to hear everyone?s input on this matter. As for me, I believe it would help more than hurt the game. This option would make ?Player Chumps? second-guess their own actions.
P.S. Thanks to Aravis for the idea!

A good idea in theory, but have we already forgotten about the moldy cheese filled rotten carcus that is Gameshark/Xploder/Code Breaker? Before you know it, they'll hack a code that'll let you have admin access anywhere you go, so you could keep kicking people out.

If that were the case, Gameshark/Xploder/Code Breaker would have been able to crack a passworded game by now. My main concern is that someone that has started a game should dictate ?Whom or Who? should play in their game. I?m sure that there some exceptions to this rule, that?s why I asked for everyone's opinion on this subject.

Well, two sides to every problem:
Good: If you make a game that you want to make nice and fun, you can finally kick out all the "beggar" and "arrogant" and "everything's mine" people. Would make for more fun rooms, yes. Would be better than a simple ignoring ability, where the person isn't going to come back or bother you until you end up hopping out of the team game.
Bad: Considering if the real PK trick isn't fixed when this is implemented, it just makes it easier for those people to decide to make a room, let some foolish people walk in, make a pipe, kill everyone, then ban them from the room and collect some new items and more money. This could also be detrimental if not properly bug tested (send someone to the lobby with no hp... and I don't think you can log out in that kind of situation, can you?).
The new ability adds a bit more than what it takes away, and likely that this would be on a different disc than the PSO disc now, and maybe the coming append disc where some bug fixes are coming (hopefully fixing the BSOD's and the 'R'PKers [not role playing killers, REAL player killers]), this little idea would probably make for a better game on the whole (just wishing that a fair trade ability would be attempted at the least).
