My GC hates me..

well last friday..I was in the middle of a game, my dog sat on the power cord pulling it out and I lost a few good weps, no biggie...then 30 min. later my stupid GC stopped reading the disc, and I lost my red slicer and my last pair of high hit vulcans...the next day I returned from a friends house and I went on to play pso...my friends made a mistake of creating a team in antares instead of our usual block (deneb 5) and I corrupted...lost a lv 153 HUcast, lv 110 FOnewm, lv 82 RAmar, and a lv 16 HUnewearl along with a legit orotiagito and a legit kasami bracer my friends let me borrow and so many other awsome rares I found....well I was pretty angry after that...but I have a ton of high-level legit friends that will stop at nothing to help me O.o; around 6 friends overwhelmed me with uber rares and high hit 9-star weapons and even a lv 200 mag a friend had raised....I was very happy to see so much kindness from my friends...yet I still wanted to get my characters back so I tried just about every method to try to get those characters back...then I tried the "switch memory cards while good memory card is going online' trick and it appears that it's a BAD thing to do and the servers ended up resetting my character's items, materials, etc....and today, I'm frustrated for losing so many items my friends worked hard to get...ah well, as long as I got friends, I'll NEVER leave PSO =] (btw this is corrupt #10..I'm in the double-digit corrupts now! hooway! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif)

This might sound stupid but... I build a box thing around my gamecube (but of course there's an opening for the fan and vent ) but The top has a lock on it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif so the only time people can play it is if "I" let them. And I play pso as if my GC is Fragile... I haven't had a corrupted data since. and second of all... What was your GC doing in your dogs reach anyway ? Mine is like on my Entertainment Center. You could like put it on your dresser or something. But NEVER put it on the carpet. I heard that it heats up the carpet and makes the phone jack mess up. Oh, and get a Flash memory Card. Its like a bit longer than the orginal size and has like a little hump at the end of it. It supposedly reduces the chance of data corruption. Should just say on the box ( Great for PSO http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif ) so yea.... get one of those

it's up where it's on a small 2-shelf nightstand on the 2nd shelf below my GC...the cord is running along the wall into an outlet about 3 feet away...well there's a vent there against the wall that my dog likes to lay against, thus, laying on the cord http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

The amount of corruptions your experiencing, I mean, would you happen to have any clue as to how to PREVENT it!?
Seriously, 10 is a lot, if it's the dog, let him out back while you play, if its lag timing you out while save is occuring, get a new ISP <<High Speed>>.
Play detective, maybe figure out how this ridiculous corruption keeps happening.

Youll never hear this happen on the xbox...never. glad i went with that instead as losing my level 138 RAcaseal Demi would make me stop playing PSO as i will not tolerate such things. 250+ hours just to be lost just will not do PERIOD. Dont know how you still linger about the GC with so many corruptions. Now to prepare for the merciless onslaught of GC fanboys...

i have never had an fsod but i have had coruptions do to the fact i had a non nintendo memory card. the only reason i have never had an fsod tho is because i odnt play online lol. . . . simple as that just dont play online and you will be a okay

ugh, I get my dog away from that side of the wall every time now...there's really no way to secure the wires..and my dad has considered getting a wireless 256k modem rather than our crappy 56k...I'll talk to him more on getting a faster connection..
