I'm not exactly the most computer literate person. So heres my question: How do I find out what edition of Xp I have? I need to download that patch to stop that NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM bug so it stops annoying me. I don't know if I have the 32 bit edition or 64 bit so could some tell me how to find out which one I have.

Go into My Computer, then Control Panel. Click on System. Your system should be listed under General.

if you have a desktop home computer, from compaq, dell, hp or the like, it is most likely 32bit.

if you try to install 64bit on 32 bit, it will give error after extracting files.
