character gender

How many of you refuse to play with a character of the opposite gender? Most of my friends do. But they shouldn't. Personally I think HUnewearls are better than HUmars or HUcasts.

i think that's incredibly stupid since most of the Hunewearls running about in their short mini shorts are probably guys...

Most of the female character population on PSO is played by guys. There aren't as many female gamers.
So your friend has an issue with cross gender gaming? Or with cross gender gamers?

I think it's stupid that your friend refuses to play as the opposite gender. What is he, sexually challenged?

EDIT: don't get me wrong, i pick characters mainly for the stats not the looks or gender.

I have 3 memcards (1 is my bros so i have 2) and we made different characters. We have made EVERY character since there r 12 characters. He has HUnewarl, RAmar, RAcast and FOmarl. Ihave all the rest HUmar/cast/caseal, RAmarl/caseal and FOmar/newm/newarl. We both have even male and female characters, this is purely for status and what characters we want to play as.

I think ur friends are right. Who cares about stats? Mostly all the people in the same class have the same stats so just pick ur own gender. I remember in dreamcast when i play with girl characters and they end up being guyz was wierd. its like they designed they're character all cute and girly but why? it makes no sense. The only difference between some chars in the same class is if ur an android. Thats it. So pretty much what im trying to say is if u pick a girl char when ur a guy, ur pretty much saying u'd like to be a girl in real life. It's the facts.

For some reason I find myself having only female characters in all RPGs. I have 4 characters in PSO and all are female. The only exception is a Morrowind character and he's happy because hes with 6 women!
I think its because I like to role play with my characters and its more fun that way. Besides a girl kicking butt is bad ass.
