GC: Cannot Connect!

I got a Broadband adapter, I got a Hunter's Liscence, I have Bellsouth DSL, I have my GameCube connected to the box...the thing is....I get to the lobby, it tells me about the new ship/block called Minhara or something like that and then I press 'A' but then....I'm stuck....I see the lobby with no one in it. And I can't seem see the menu which will ask me which ship I want to go to. Then it's only a matter of time until the line disconnects because I am not connecting to the lobby. This is my first time and I want to play PSO, what the hell is going on? I thought the servers were down but it's been 3 hours for christsakes, wtf is going on?

well, from what you tell me, there shouldn't be a connection problem for you. I'd call sega tech support. See what they say. You're connecting at least initially, but it seems to freeze on you before you can do a 'ship select' so ask them for ideas... I don't know what else to suggest, sorry

when i try to get on it says connection failed the server could be under maintanence PRESS START can anyone help me?
