FanFic: The Calling

Prologue:

Life as anything else is very pointless. But when one thing happens it continues. It had been 4 years after the incident with both of the evils of Ragol. People were still afraid of it though. so while hunters continue to explore ragol, the people of pioneer 2 wait and become anxious. Dark Falz became ship wide news, but while the government tried to cover up the incident with Flowen it got out by an anonymous source. Weapons made from animal parts now became the norm for hunters. As more and more people join the guild the planet becomes more explored. But there are some things we were never meant to find and those things may destroy us all..........

[i]chapter 1:[i]

It began as any other day for HUmar Branden, but the beginning isn't ever the most important factor. He began exploring a new sector of ragol the hunters call Lodoss. The enemies there were so strong that hunters haven't even named them cause everyone who fought one died. But those people were usually the cocky ones who thought they could kill olga flow in one hit. Fortunately Branden was one of the strongest hunters around, only next to a HUcast called Gimli. He didn't come voluntarily though Red Ring Ricco asked a personal favor for him to explore lodoss. Some rumors around say Lodoss is actually an ancient city. The rumors also say that these people were the ones that imprisoned Dark Falz. But as Branden walked through the thick underbrush he kept hearing a voice in his head that said he should go back, that what he is about to reveal would destroy all of the refugees. But Branden was being paid 20 million meseta to do this thing. so Branden just ignored the vision. After fighting hordes of reptillian two legged beasts he called Hell Lizards Branden came to a huge temple. Branden gawked at the sight.
"It's amazing we never spotted this even from pioneer 2!" Branden thought to himself. Branden heard a twig snap behind him, followed by trees falling down and an unnatural roar that could never be of any creature had ever seen before. Branden hastily turned around Musashi's at the ready. Only to be greeted by a giant creature unlike any he had ever seen! It had 2 horns like a ram but the sharp ends pointed outward, it had 2 extra horns by it's mouth looking like a grass assassin's mandibles, it had the head of a savage wolf but with grey fur, It's whole body was covered by this grey fur, it stood upright like a man, it also had two enormous dragon wings, a tail of a dragon with an axe type thing at its end, it had six arms in total and each one could materialize itself into anything it wanted.
Branden had no time to gawk at this nightmare. He ran straight into the temple. The nightmare, too big to fit into it, got into a fit of rage and destroyed the entrance to the temple, imprisoning Branden in it.
Branden muttered to himself "Damn now what!?" Branden got out a special photon Flashlight that he recieved as part of an emergency kit he got from his mom before he became a Hunter. Branden walked a little further to see some sort of special ritual ground. skulls of Hell Lizards lay scattered everywhere. But what really caught Branden's attention was some drawings all over the walls.

He examined them in them he saw some sort of story. It showed a person preforming some sort of ritual, Next he saw the nightmare he just saw grabbing the man and eating him. Then he saw the thing destroying a village that looked like the one outside, followed by Hell Lizards plaguing the village. finally he saw some people preforming a ritual to imprison the Nightmare but the Hell Lizards killing them in the end.

Branden knew this must be important so he grabbed a camera and took pictures of the drawings and the writing he couldn't read. He then sent it via. BEE mail to Ricco. Branden then slammed a capsule into the ground breaking it then creating a telepipe. Branden stepped on it.

"Pioneer 2, Apartment complex D-5, apartment A-408617!" then he dissapeared

Sounds neat so far. However, you might want to fix this:

"But those people were usually the cocky ones who thought they could kill olga flow in one hit."

The whole one hit thing really sounds like a cheasy game thing. I know this is a game fanfic, but you might want to redo that part. Other than that, it sounds pretty interesting.

I agree with Davion. You make it sound like Olga Flow was killed more than once, wich does not make sense in anything but the game. But its you first fic so I won't kill you...Yet.

I agree. Try not to mention any sort of stuff you can do in the game (like go back and kill Olga Flow multiple times). Make your story sound like you are the only one playing the game, if you will (if that makes sense).

chapter 2:


Rico was looking at the pictures that she had recieved via. BEE mail from HUmar Branden.
Rico pressed a button on her desk.
"Lisa patch me a hologram connection to the lab R-9,"
"I can't they are currently connected to Chief Natasha," came the reply
"WELL THEN DISCONNECT THEM!! THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ANYONE HAS TO SAY!!!" Rico screamed. a few seconds later Dr. Montague came on the holoprojecter.
"Yes Rico?"
"Can you analyze these photos for me? and scan Ragol at these coordinates, and also get me HUcast Gimli here at my office."
"I can do the first two but Gimli has dissapeared!"
"WHAT!!????!?! When?!?
"While we were so busy covering up the business with Flowen we nobody was tracking hunters on Ragol."
Rico sighed "send an investigative team on this right now he is the leader of the guild we need him! And why am I telling you!?" Rico disconnected the line and patched in her seceratary.
"Order an investigating team to search for missing HUcast Gimli section I.D. Yellowboze."
"yes ma'mn"
"AND WHERE'S MY DAMN COFFEE?!?!"
"I'll have it ready ma'mn."
Rico disconnecthed the line. she sighed,
"What have we walked into now?"

Chapter 3


Pioneer 2, 1 year after Flowen....

"What did you say?!" Gimli was in a bar holding a FOnewm up by his shirt collar.

"I-I-I d-didn't say anything s-sir" The FOnewm was so scared he could have pissed his pants if he wasn't an adult.

"I think I heard something about HUcasts being the biggest dumbasses in the world just 'cause one kicked your ass? Awwww look at the wittle baby wahwahwah" Gimli smirked and tossed the FOnewm into one of the bar tables. Two of the FOnewms friends tried to grab Gimli but Gimli grabbed the two weaklings and threw them to join their friend. Gimli calmly walked out of the door into the fresh artificial light of Pioneer 2.

"That stupid FOnewm, weaker than a booma," Gimli muttered to himself. Gimli was 7' 9" had black armor plating and had a rare samurai head. His head made it even harder to tell his emotion.

"I'm bored," just as Gimli said that Cheif Natasha came on his wrist holo projector.

"Gimli I need you to do a special assignment for me."

"How much?"

"100 billion meseta," Gimli jumped back at the thought of that much money. A hunter could retire at age 8 and live hapily for the rest of his life!
"100 Billion!! This must be serious. Do I have to kill another of those giant ancient entity things? Cause Flowen was bad enough."

"No, just an exploration assignment, I need you to explore these coordinates," Natasha's face dissappeared replaced by a globe of Ragol. A certain section was marked with an x.

"Lodoss?" Gimli asked.

"You've heard of it?"

"Every hunter has only a few people have gone in though and they never came back."

"Hmmm... still can you go in?"

"Hell ya"

"Good I'll wait for your return with the info"

"Got it Gimli out," Gimli pressed a button on his wrist and Natasha dissappeared. A few moments later the guys from the bar cme out.

"THERE HE IS!!!" Gimli ran towards the teleporter laughing at the fatties trying to catch up. He ran into the tube of light and yelled "Lodoss!" The teleporter unknown to this place scanned his memory and sent him to the coordinates. Almost instantly he came up at lodoss with his trusty mag Varaha and his Special weapon he created with the help of Dr. Motague, Gimli called it the Hell Bringer.

"Whoa this place is like that spaceship I went to 2 years ago!" Gimli walked a few few feet then stopped, realizing this is unexplored territory and there's no telling what might happen. Gimli, cautious with every step, kept walking until he came up to the temple. Gimli didn't say a word just stared through his sensors. Gimli knew this must be important so he walked in he saw the same pictures that Branden saw 3 years in the future. Gimli came up to the altar. he stepped up the flight of steps and fell into the 13th step. (Coincedence?) Gimli rolled down into a small passage and stopped at the foot of the incline.

"What the hell is this?" Gimli walked forward a bit and came up to a huge chamber at the center was a crystal and some kind of light at it's center. There was a control panel at it's base Gimli but his hell bringer (It's a sword type by the way) back in it's scabbard and put his hands into what semmed to be hand ports. almost immediatly the light seemed to flash and start cracking the crystal. The crystal slowly broke into pieces letting the light out. Light seemed to look for something or someone to kill. It spotted Gimli. Gimli took off at a sprint towards the passage but the light was too fast and slammed into his back. Gimli seemed to pulsate harder and harder, faster and faster until his body manifested itself into the nightmare.

"free!" the nightmare roared "FREE!" It let out some sort of battle cry into ragol,ragol shook slightly. The nightmare stretched,being imprisoned for so long. "Shadow Hunter lives again!!!!!"

Ooh, Aah, nice chapter... Can you give us a description of what nightmare looks like? cuz right now I'm thinkin the guy off of Soul Calibut 2 in his full demon form =]

And from chapter 2 you can tell ricco really likes her cofee, wish I had some before school, grrr....

Chapter 3


The large number of Hell Lizards and more unidentified creatures stood anxiously near the foot of the Temple of Lodoss. Shadow HunterGimli stood at its top, speaking the tongue of the lizards.

"We have waited 5 millinea for my rising after the people of this land imprisoned me. But once again I come upon you, to take over our new foes. To take their technology and use it for our own doing. This time they will not succeed in imprisoning us again, they have seen the power of my generals, but that was only the beginning. They will now witness the greatest power ever to be borne into this universe!"
The creatures roared in unison after Shadow Hunter spoke these words. Shadow raised a hand to calm them. "In three years time we will have our forces ready, let these people know that not all of them united can defeat us, no 1000 hunters can shake our foundations, soon the universe will be ours, and we will be the masters. There is no force existing that stop us!"

"Rico you better look at this!" A lab researcher tapped in the holoprojecter to show a part of ragol with a large group of creatures.

"What's going on there?" Rico asked.

"We don't know, there also seems to be a huge photon source in the middle of that 'meeting', our sources indicate that the photon levels are almost 100,000 times that of Olga Flow as we call it."

"100,000!!!!!!!!! That's impossible!"

"We believe that it may be another entity like the one you identified in the spaceship. But it may just a natural disaster and those creatures are drawn to it for some reason."

"hmmmmmmm..... well we better wait and see what happens, Rico out" Rico disconnected the line and thought about it for a while. Then left her office and never gave it a second thought. Natasha was thinking a lot different though.......

"Like I told Rico we don't know what it is, it could be a disaster we don't know, and the photon levels are too high for a human to go there."

Gimli is in there Natasha thought. hmmmmmm.... somethings going on here. "well what do you know so far?"

"We at least know the photon level is 100,000 times then that of Flowen." Natasha almost chocked on the coffee she was drinking.

"100,000?!? Well I have an android operating in that area he'll come with some info so just wait and see."

"ok i'll be waiting for the info Tucson out." I hope Gimli's ok.

Gimili is not ok, he is gathering an army to kill you all!!!

Chapter 4:

"Pricipell Tyrell you are needed on the bridge, Principal Tyrell you are needed on the birdge" The intercom that went through most of pioneer 2 sounded calling for Principal Tyrell. Tyrell walked down the street watching the people around him. Androids, newmans, humans I'm suprised thay haven't killed each other by now, he thought. I remember in history calss the books talked about how there were wars, war after war after war, and all, he thought, were over the most trivial things. There was a war between people of the same country, who fought just because the other side didn't think someone with a skin darker then their's should have equal rights. And even when that side lost they just kept on hating them. How did we get to where we are today? Tyrell walked through the sliding doors of the bridge, hearing the whoosh as he went by. "what's the problem?"

"Well sir our infared scanners detect an object in orbit around ragol a little bigger than pioneer two, but when we transfer the camera to regular view there is nothing there."

"Did you send some droids to check the camera?"

"yes sir, four times."

"Hmmmm...." About a second later something came onthe screen. It was fuzzy at first but became clearer a while longer. The screen showed a creature with a muscular arnored body with nets on his legs, a silver colored mask, tons of weaponary cleverly placed around it's body, and made a clicking sound every so often. A predator, tyrell thought. A hunter that cannot seem to get along with anybody but is feared so much, that the whole entire conspiracy is concealed by the government.

The creature began to talk a little unclear, as it is used to it's own language. "Want... *click**click**click* guardian *click* if...don't.. DIE!" A little unclear, but it's intentions were very clear.

"Guardian?! What the hell are you talking about?!"

"You *click**click**click* know..... ten *click* hours," chhhhhh.... the image flickered out.

"Sir, the communication link came from that heat source, it must be using some sort of cloaking device."

"That doesn't matter right now! We have ten hours to figure out what the hell this guardian is. *sigh* run a search to see who has come on pioneer 2 that we have not authorized."

"yes, sir,"

Great day to start the day tyrell, he thought. Tyrell left the bridge and left the crw in peace to preform the search. He walked straight into the bar there and ordered a pint of scotch. Ten hours.....
