i mean seriously. i thought this game was mainly played by older people. (mainly the ones that were already born when the original one came out) but recently, i've been noticing on these boards, there are a lot of 12-year-olds playing. and they post bogus topics about life/love and things they souln't evn worry about at their age. what happened to playing outside with friends.

I was in 5th grade when PSO came out on DC. I didn't buy it because I had no interest in the platform, not because I was too young. I've been playing video games since I was a wee youngin' (thank you, mom http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif ) and 12 is usually the age that children discover sex appeal, no? So why can't they post about love/romance/whatever? If they're interested, they are allowed to read/write about it.

NO, the time spent on earth enables more opportunities to learn, and sadly yes its true in most cases, but not all.

Age is a number.

Maturity is different. Maturity is not calculated by age.

I whole heartedly agree.

What's wrong with playing inside with friends?

Age shouldn't matter, they have the right to do what they want to.

I think its just a different type of gamer, in general. Not many people bought the Dreamcast... I mean, you would have to be a pretty serious gamer to get a system with very little hype and hardly any "big name" titles. Then theres the X Box/Gamecube. How many immature little kids have one of those (if not bolth)?

Notice I said "immature" little kids. If youre a mature little kid hurray for you and ignore the post.

I dont if your making a joke or you are trying to emphasise your dislike for those younger than you. But please just respond to the topic, not start a fire. Sometimes trying to have a reasonable conversation with you around is like trying to wishper to the guy at the other side of a football stadium during a match.

Many times you will find little kids that are very annoying. Mainly the ones who think they rule the world. In games I cant do alot but in real life I can have my revenge.

ok, i guess my topic was a bit off. i don't care if there are 12 year olds playing. good for them. what really bugs me is that there are 12-year-olds posting topics about life, love, and other bogus topics that they should not be worried about. sorry for the confusion. keep playing 12-year-olds. just don't run around thinking your the sh*t, cause your not

So it really should've been 'wtf? How many irresponsible immature 12 year olds post in this forum?'

That, of course, would eliminate insults to the mature, responsible 12 year olds.

Personally, I think that having played Ver. 1 on DC means that you're simply more used to the game. Does that make you a better player? In some cases, yes, but probably not in just as many cases. To me, it means 'Wow. This person is tolerant enough to deal with more duping, hacking, fake PKing, and theft than the average person.' I guess that's respectible...

Now having been alive and having played the Original PS, Just Phantasy Star, deserves a bit of respect, seeing as said game was not well known when it came out.

Why I remember back in the day...*cutoff*
