Yes, I used to be a pansy, pussy, wussy, etc. USED to! Now...I am "meh":
I went to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, a mediocre waterpark. If any users from Southern California are reading this, heed my warning: IT. IS. SMALL. Go to Raging Waters.
I made the first wise decision all day to go off on my own throughout the park, leaving my 'rents and a borrowed brat (read: my mom's friend's kid) in the kiddy pool. First thing I went for was a waterslide.
There were three slides, two of which were pretty fast and direct (one had a slopes, the other had a wavy thing going). I took on what could be the most entertaining of the three, which had its twists and turns.
So I go up, and I actually could hear my heart beating. I sat at the top of the slide, and when they gave me the word, I went in.
Crap. It was going to be dark the whole way down.
No, I didn't freak out. I had my eyes closed (which I'm sure would be considered daring for anybody on their first time on such a thing), and I crossed my ankles and arms (so you do not sprain yourself). But there's one more thing they left out:
Keep your head up.
I hit my head twice and I pulled a muscle on my neck. It was below-moderate pain, so it could've been shaken off. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Then I went on other slides, one where it is required on an inner tube (meh), and another where a group gets on a raft. On this raft I ended up with a happy couple, but I sat on the wrong edge. The lucky lovey doveys were able to get swung up in the air. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Probably the last thing anybody would get their kicks would be this pool where the deep end is 6 feet deep. Now, there'z this strange security measure where people are kicked out of it for 15 minutes per hour. I have no idea why it's so long. Anywho, before their time is up, the pool is thrashed with waves that can get you knocked about pretty good if you're not careful. Fun.
And thus, ended my time at Six Flags. Still haven't taken a shower to get that chlorine smell off me. I'm just too damn tired, especially with the trip to a nearby shopping center with a Toys R Us and Wal Mart.
I came back...as a 17-year old nut. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
