I would have used my other thread, but people tend to look at the first post and ignore all the others.

The serial number and Access Key should be on a sticker on the inside cover of the box thing, shouldn't they?
I can't find them anywhere, so now I'm struggling to remember if I bought a used copy of PSO. Even if I did, though, shouldn't I still be able to go online with the same serial number if the original owner ended their Hunters License?

Happened to me, I just bought another one, and no they won't let you use the serial number and access key if it has already been used.

No they don't take the serial number sticker off or anything they leave it on it just doesn't work.

So does that mean you shouldn't buy a used copy?

Apparently. At least, if you want to go online.

I'm pretty sure you can just call up sega and tell them you have a used copy and to change the numbers over to your account/name.

I mean you have the actual legit numbers there so it's not like there not going to belive you.

When you trade in PSO, they should make you leave your account details inside of the booklet. *The Serial number and access key are printed on the back of the booklet BTW* Can't you cancel the account the SN and AK are attached to so they can be reused?

The PAL copies have the number on the manual. US copies have it on a sticker in the box.

Question, when my Hunters license expires, the free 30 days, can I use a diff one? My friend can't go online with his GC and he said I could use his serial+ access..2 free months?

no sorry,
30days per Serial Nr,
if you use the second, you have to have a fresh mem card and a new char from lv 1

Reminded by Balbarei's post, I have another question. I guess I have to get another copy of PSO, but when I do finally do go online, can I use a previously existing character to do so, or do I have to restart from level 1?

Why? just use the one you have now. Call up sega and get them to reset the numbers to your name/account.

And yes you can use an existing character.
