XBox: HACKERS Good or Bad?

I think there are two sides to hackers. Ones I think to be good are ones who would take a program and do something to make it better for everyone. A bad hacker would be one who unleashes viruses and screws up everything you have for it's own pleasure or to strike fear into the hearts of millions.

Yea Hackers can be bad.. but there not all bad if they just keep it to themselfs the cheats en crud.. if they keep it to themselfs and not even give a clue to others they cheat and dont affect others there aight .. its if they affect the others.. if they wanna hack let them aslong as they just thereselfs.. exmaple.. ( cant spell it i know) if someone could Dupe but they only duped there own items and they kept there own items it would be diffrint because it wouldnt effect anyone but himself..its when they effect the others.. such as Makeing dupes for one person.. now think about the Dupe is gunna go though 20 people.. or even more.. so ya there is Bad and Good Hackers ..

Most "hackers" aren't even hackers and are basically just hex editors, and that's damn easy. And as far as ruining the game, that's a matter of opinion.

You do know that there are hackers that actually hack to their benefit right? I mean, knowledge and experience is a much greater asset than playing video games. Even so, their also usually the quiet ones- the ones that never admit they hack, but in reality can. Those are the people who I would label as "good" hackers.

The "bad" ones, I admit, are the ones that run around screaming samples such as these:

"OMgz, i r t3h pwnz j00 r t3h n00b!"
"omzg, you are just teh jealous, since I can hack and you can't"
"oMzG, Imma hack your ass and blow up your GC/DC"

Even if I exaggerated a couple of those quotes, the idea is still the same. The people that consider they are better than others in a video game because of their hacking abilities are not, in any way, people who I would play with. For one, they might not even be able to hack, but instead, just have a friend to do their hacking for them (which I have seen happen).

I see... well I've done some thinking in the matter and I remembered something that might change some of your minds. This doesn't osociate(can't spell it) with PSO but, I have this program called KaZaa for my PC. Well it turned out some people got the program and hacked at it and made it better,faster and put it up for download. It has no viruses, is indeed faster, and the fact it was put up with no cost made it enjoyable by everyone. This is only my insight for the good ones though. I do know of some stuff bad hackers do.

The bad hackers are the ones that send out viruses and corrupt data just to get a point across or creat havoc. An example would be that guy who sent out that WORM, that would at a certain time, would make all the computers it infected send certain kinds of e-mails to Microsoft HQ. That is the Ultimate example of a bad hacker.

I think Xbox codes and hacks are good because I don't play that version... besides the only reason why I bought a Xbox and a new PS2 is because I wanted to play my Soul Calibur 2 games on them.

Hex editors/hackers are good cause i like having 3 100s on my needle/guld/yaz9k/baranz and Vjaya. Dupers are good because They make sure i never run out of money. Hacking as in NOL and PK is bad however since it directly affects people who don't want to be involved yet they have no choice

One of my friends thought up an idea that if you could actually edit people's inventory and bank with a hacking program of a sort,we would delete all the hacked items instantaneously.

i have a pretty libertarian viewpoint so i could care less who hacks what for whatever reason... that being said i got burned pretty bad last night by a bunch of ignorant pricks. was in a group with another hucast, as a hucast, fighting falz on hard mode, both of us 25-30ish. guy is using a BKB, the twinking job i did was 3 god/abilities, god/battle, 200 pow/dex mag, and a red saber, but it's pretty obvious this guy had at least a few al rappies on...

we trash falz's first 2 forms... and then this guy freaks out when the 3rd form arrives... this asshole is using a BKB below 30 and doesn't even know falz has a 3rd form?!?!?!

the grants effect kills him every time.. i've maxxed my character out on hp mats found on my main so i had no problem surviving it all... i burn through my moons pretty damn quickly... as soon as falz does the soul steal i die because said prick managed to actually hit falz for once with a combo... knowing falz is close to death i bug the guy to revive my ass for once.. but of course before he gets to it he ends up dying... force enters the room at this point... back to pioneer 2...

we go back down with force... kid had a davil tail and something like a dark bridge, of course this jackass doesn't do all the useful things like s/d/j/z... he also doesn't have the hp or light resist for the grants attack... i burn through all 10 moons in a minute or so... both my teamates dead at this point..


being the nice, optimistic overly trusting nitwit i am, i offer to die so we can do it over again, with the other 2 dropping moons for me...falz is doing the soul steal and i was set on mates, i coulda beat him at that point... but i die... go back to pioneer... both of them leave



later on i get into a group with another jackass force who doesn't s/d/j/z... talking about how great forces are (my main being a force)... i pop up about how easy it must be with spells you didn't earn and whatnot... and he went into some story about how his 'clan' gave them to him once he hit lvl 150 with his main.. and that somehow earned him these spells... so when he took forever going up to town before vol opt.. my finger "slipped" and set off the transporter



i guess my eventual point is, if there's going to be cheating... can it at least be done by people who know what the hell they're doing. i'm not exactly 100% legit, and risk a pot calling the kettle black problem here. forces are by far the worst played class out there by far. if a group has to beg for s/d... and if a force is too stupid to realize that j/z makes groups speed along much quicker and lets you 'touch' every target once, so that you rack up xp much quicker... (no such thing as pure altruism here.) when people don't pay their dues and start cheating, it creates bad players. so folks if you do plan to cheat... for the love of christ... try to learn what the hell you're doing first...

After the big hit of Live 2.0 i think there will be a big drop in pso hackers due to the dash exploits eliminated in the update. i have a mod chip so it doesnt affect us w/ that. I still think hackers r ok i only make items 4 me and no 1 else
