Annoying Message Board Trends

Let's try to keep this either message board or internet based. Though message board based would be better for this thread.

What trends, for lack of a better word, annoy the shit out of you around here and other message boards? Remember, if you see something you do on this list, don't let it offend you unless it applies to you in the same context the person is referring it to.

1. The constant toting of being "antisocial." I'm starting to really hate seeing this, here and there and fucking everywhere. The types I'm talking about are the ones that mention it as if it were a bad thing while secretly being proud of it. Like a fucking badge.

2. Japan related things. It's either wanting to be Japanese, wanting to speak Japanese, using stupid fucking girly Japan type words (ie Landale) JPop, and wanting to visit Japan. Now, just about all of this applies to me and many of us, but I'm talking about the ones that shove it in your face every other post.

3. Members with completely negative attitudes that start shit just about every other post for the sake of being a tough guy. People that just want to drag everyone down.

An obviouse one of Course but Spamming.

People who Double Post although it's easy enough to just edit your previouse message and chuck the extra info in there. (Noobs can be forgiven but I've seen veterans do it aswell).

People posting pointless 3-4 words on a post.
Not always bad but take for example 'I agree' or 'Same here.' That just aren't worth the read. You know what I mean.

And last but not least people just being 'A' holes.

So many people do that here and it is completely pointless.


Oh and anyone who signs up for a message board to just advertise their site.

I'd like to see the day that PSOW ( or any other community for that matter)will decides to drop everyone to 0 post ... or just remove the postcount from view!

Honostly, how could it do harm? It will just remove the postcount-whores of the boards and leave it to the decent people who don't give a damn about such shallow thing that the post count is. It will also remove the ''I'm above post counts ...'' people that pretend they don't care but that would disapear if it wasn't of there l337 post counts.

Of course some people have a hell of a high post count around here, but it doesn't make them auto-maticly people that only posts to see the count go higher and higher, I mean geee, take Abdur for exemple, he has been there for a while now! And that's why he has lot's of pots ... also cause he likes to post <_<

I hafta agree that it does get annoying when people post and post about wanting to be japanese etc etc... and b4 when EP III was first announced, all those boards with "EPIII sucks" was annoying as hell... and those damn "RPG" type boards are old... everyone has said their favorite rpg already, how many more times do we have to repeat it???

Old topics being either bumped up or just done over again. (You know what I mean, A topic thats been going on for ages Finally disapears and then someone else makes another topic thats exactly the same).

yes yes yes yes and yes!!! i can't agree with you more. i hate p0zers and wannabe hax0rs. i hate people who post just for posting, and i think mini wars/advanced mini wars/ultimate mini wars (??) just got stupid after a while (with the exception of the 13-person HWB cage match)
