I resently played the game at a friends house and I think it is really fun but is the trial still online? My friend said it was over the 9th but I thought I saw something about it lasting longer. So... is it offline?

The online trial ends on the 16th.
they should have extended the online trail! STUPID SONIC TEAM!

Uh, they did extend it, from Augest 31st to September 16th.
