It seems to be a bit out of date. Drunken Master is not a 'future release.' BOTH Drunken Master films were released in the US, alternately, about 5 and about 15 years ago.

Drunken Master II is under "Released Films" and Drunken Master isn't there at all, so I have no idea what you're referring to.

Drunken Master was released in the US in 1978. More than 15 years. 25 years, in fact. ^_^ Check IMDB. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I know. I have a VHS copy that's about ten years old. I just don't see where anything I linked to says otherwise.

Shut your mouth.

I'm ranting.

Lol. The point is that the petition that you're ranting with has invalid information. It says that the film's unreleased when, in fact, it was released probably before the people who wrote the petition were born.

Actually, I just went to see what you were talking about. The Drunken Master release they're referring to is the one from Columbia/Tristar, which was released last December. The petition was made long before that.

Edit: The other movie they mentioned in the same sentence, Shiri, is also out on DVD now, but wasn't at the time of that writing.

Here's another fact about them. You ever heard of Disney Channel? I quit watching that for a reason: Their 65-episode limit is killing their shows unfairly and prematurly. All I saw for one year on that channel is just reruns! Also, they promised us last year that we'll see new shows last year.

And their 'commercials', don't get me started.

Old petition, then, it is. I see. That's okay. Their points do still stand, even if they'll never actually succeed in convincing Disney of that.

Yeah, the petition itself is kind of pointless, but I still like to spread awareness of Disney's evil (and sometimes legally questionable) business practices. If even one person who reads this decides to stop buying these butchered pieces of garbage, I'll be happy.

Simple answer:

Don't go with Disney. They're a crap company whose childishness mirrors that of George Lucas. They're parasite who rely on Pixar to get them out of debt. They can't rely anymore on their half-assed hand-drawn features themselves.

Ah Disney. Creators of such great films as...

erm...

...maybe Lilo and Stitch?
I'll only watch the ones created by Pixar, so strictly speaking it isn't Disney. Just because they slapped their little logo on Pixars films, we all know they did diddly squat.

Yea, boo to Disney for giving terrible films a chance in the U.S. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

you wanna really judge disney? learn a little something about how they treat employees..theme park, animators...etc. they are progressive enough to give benefits to same sex couples, yet they seem to have no issue creating legal loopholes which basically make it impossible for employees to unionize and use all of freedoms like collective bargaining. their raping of folklore, history, and literature is ironic considering how hard they fought to keep copywrights up on aging characters... bastarizing the hunchback of notre dame is fine apparently, but christ forbid anyone else use Mickey without paying the fucking piper.

they haven't had a stellar drawn animation title since the lion king and the whole pixar thing has been mentioned.. Disney was not only bat shit insane, but he didn't really even like kids to begin with. they got shareholders to please. it's a shame that miramax went down the tubes a few years ago.
