Bernie looked out among the crowd assembled with him. "Have they made the examination for Gal Da Val easier or something?" He thought to himself. All he could see were young punks with pumped up mags running around like it was some kind of goddamn videogame.

The throng had made their way into the entrance of the Central Control Area. Heavily fortified and hazardous, it was relinquishing its secrets piecemeal. The previous two towers were only unlocked through hard work by dedicated Hunters, not glory seekers like these people.

His thoughts were rudely interrupted by sirens and flashing red lights, the heavy blast doors behind them grinding shut.

"What did you do?" He shouted at a HUmar standing near an access panel. The HUmar shrugged and raised his hands.

Bernie sighed. It was going to be a long day.

Natasha Milarose summoned Elly Person for a secret meeting.

"Elly, I am concerned. Five teams were sent down to retrieve very important data from the North Tower. Yet none have reported back and security across the island has reactivated."

"They all beamed down over 1000 Beats ago. Do you suspect foul play?"

"I'm not sure yet, but we have to keep this quiet. We don't want to start a panic. Elly, I suggest you start recruiting the best hunters for this one."

What's wrong with no more slums? You can't write more than one fic with the exact same idea without loosing your audience. You could always decide to make this a sequel to slums, Mr.Rubbish, seeing as Ep. 2 took place I think 6 months after Ep. 1. Anyway, this plot seems almost far too open to really go anywhere right at first, so I'm not going to post yet.

if you read the posts for slums ver 1 and indeed your post for ver 2, people are currently tired of the slums idea (a real kick in the nuts for me) especially since all of them made sure to craft very fine and emotional endings.
i suggested the north tower story. boc (and maybe mquantum) expressed an interest so i went ahead.
i deliberately left it as wide open as possible so that people would have plenty of maneuvering room. now theres too much room??
i can't win can i?

Heh, sorry about that. I guess you should try to make it as open as possible, but I personally like to have a little bit of something to work with, so I'm waiting for a few posts before I make mine. I noticed, though, that nobody has posted save you.

the glory seekers spoke amoung themselves proclaiming themselves to be the new heroes of pioneer two. they were very inexperienced, at a very 'less than par' level, and very naive. they beleived to be powerful because of the mags they had somehow obtained (stupid dupers! >_<). they had no idea what they were getting into, yet their headstrong ego kept them going. amoung this sea of glory seekers (n00bs!!!), there were a few hunters who knew what they were doing. they were frankly, amused of what a slap in the face these glory seekers would get. however, one was disgusted at them all.
a FOnewm was sitting down amoung the sea of bodies. he, as one of the few, chose to kept his weapon undrawn rather than everyone else showing off theirs. his Nidra floated about wuietly behind him. he was very... 'upset' by the way these glory seekers acted. yet, he knew better than to do something... drastic. he would rather let them screw themselves over ^_^. however, amoung the wave of bragging, one quote got him very, very, angry.
"All forces are weak good for nothings!" a HUmar said.
a circle was formed about a FOmar, who was defending his glory from a Hucast and a Humar, and a Racast.
"thats not true! forces are very helpful!" he shouted.
"yeah. i'm sure you could be good food to lure out the rappies!"
"No! I can monsters just like you!"
"oh, what are you gonna do? bonk them on the head with your stick?"
the three burst into laughter.
the fonewm controled himself, and also chuckled.
forces are very helpful he thought.
its a shame people like those three wont live long enough on this mission to realize it.

this was an ordinary reaction. its not often you meet a FOnewm with one if the spikes of his hair flopping forward to cover his right eye. but whats even more unexpecting is to find one with a peice of metal across the lower part of his face.

"umm... you've got a... thing... on youre face."
"hmm? oh this? this is, or was, my face mask."
he indicated to the stichings keeping it in.
"So? ever been to gal da val before?"
"yes, but not to where we're headed. some tower?"
"now settle down children" one of the people who actually knew what was going on said

Heh, I had already decided to start on P2 when you posted, Mr.Rubbish. What a coincidence that you would post what I was thinking while I was watching TV.
Oh, in that first paragraph where it says 'light', it's referring to weight, not paleness of color. I just thought I'd mention it.



"Thank you," said a shady, though awkwardly courtious man to the advanced weapons saleswoman. He placed two large, irregularly shaped pieces of gold onto the counter, each accounting up to about 1000 meseta. He then turned, stowed his new Double Saber into the pocket of his light, grey overcoat containing his his shadow pallasch and his gladius, and walked out of the shop, tipping his wide-rimmed grey hat slightly to make sure his face was more or less concealed.

He walked along the halls of the lower levels of Pioneer II, below the dome and its inhabitants, and eventually reached the teleporter to the Lab. He inhaled deeply and pressed the large button which activated the teleporter.

"-gest you start recruiting the best hunters for this one," Natasha was saying. A black-haired man wearing a long, grey coat suddenly appeared before the teleporter. His face was in shadow.
"Er, if you're here for the-" Elly began, but the man immediatly broke into a run toward the door to the left.
"We need to see your papers!" Elly called after him, actually seeming to think he would stop and pull out the necessary documents which would prove him to be a legitimate Hunter. Two of the people in the lab ran after him, but they were not quick enough. The man slammed his fist down on a large green button. Even as he was fading away he cast a quick lightning bolt toward the console, destoying any chance of pursuit.

Kyra was becoming more and more concerned. Her little brother had not yet come back from his 'secret mission'. she knew he would be annoyed over the way she fussed over him, but they all they had was each other now. their parents were on Pioneer One and they had come to rejoin with them.

it mad her sad to think about her parents, but her little brother could be reckless at times and she had no intention of losing him.

She picked up the Striker of Chao from the display rack. It was her mother's and had served her well. Kyra knew she had to find out what was happening and made her way to the Labs...

Mr.Rubbish, you should really do something to get BOC, Logical2u, MQuantum and the rest to join this. It's not going to go anywhere with only four people who have no idea what they're doing.




The unusual, coated man appeared at the base of a jutting peak of rock that extended out over the seaside. Somewhat disconcerted after the disturbed teleportation, he shook his head and patted his clothes to make sure everthing had been sent properly. Everything seemed as it ought to; in his inner, upper right pocket his shadow pallasch and gladius were safely stored, along with the newly bought Double Saber. In his inner upper left was a bit of food and the small amount of meseta he had left, as well as a few other commodities. In the larger pocket below was his single repeater and two E-bombs. Everything seemed to be in order.

The man walked nearly to the peak's end and sat down. An enormous throng of people was gathered on the beach below. For the most part they were all inexperienced youths, bawling at each other and showing off their mediocre weaponry. He grunted disdainfully and reached into his left pocket, soon after withdrawing a digrinder. He might as well keep himself busy while they waited for someone to come and tell them what to do.

Zi'Zuku and Wolf Nesca continued their conversation as to what was going on. However, a breeze made the lock of hair coming down from Zi'Zuku's spiked hair covering his eyes shift a little. he quickly held it down, and averted his eyes. he just as quickly turned them back to Nesca.
"Wolf, don't look now, but we're being watched"
Wolf gave him somewhat of a surprised look.
"What? where?"
"On that cape like rock- and don't look!"
Living in shadows, traveling only from rooftop to rooftop without being seen all his life, Zi'Zuku knew how to watch for these sort of things.
"...Do you think he's of concern?"
"!? how did you know?"
"i see the rock your talking about in the reflection of your 'face mask'."
"... your not so bad at this yourself. ^_^ anyways, i dont know why he's not down ehre with us, but i don't know if he's a concern yet. we'll have to wait and see..."

Finally, someone else posts. Now we need Mr.Rubbish to get Elly or someone down to Gal Da Val to tell everyone what the hell they're doing. Of course, with my character having destroyed the teleporter in the lab, I can see why there might be a delay.

"GREEBO THE TECHNITIAN, REPORT TO THE LAB IMMEDIATELY!"

I hate my name... Greebo thought as he waddled around the corner. "Wow, I'm here! I ran so fast when I heard my name... Almost twenty feet! Was there any need for the intercom?"

Natasha gave Greebo a glare that mixed un-amusement (word? Is now...) with a heap of distaste. "Enough talking. Fix it! NOW!" She pointed to the smoking remain of their teleporter.

Greebo stared. "I told you not to leave the fork in it..." Sitting down and rearranging his fatfolds, he pulled a wrench from his naval and began to get to work.

-30 minutes later, and 4 bags of chips-

"There it's fixed." He stood up and brushed off crumbs of the extra greasy fried potato flakes. He examined the inside of the 'port, checking for any cracks.

"Let me see..." *Click* Natasha pushed a small button, and Greebo was sucked from view. "HAHAHAHA! GOODBYE YOU FAT SLOB!"

As Natasha gloated over her victory, Greebo materialized in the middle of Gal da val island. "Where am I?"

"n00b! n00b! I pwnz joo!" A short hunter run up to Greebo and began to scream insults at him in another language.

Greebo considered the nusence, then sent it flying with a flick of his Brotwurst size fingers. He picked up the green, glowing saber, and gave it a few flicks. "I'm going to beat that Natasha to a mushy goo!"

He began to walk off, but noticed a highly overpowered mag floating around, looking for the short demon Greebo had dispatched.

Greebo snagged it out of midair and stuffed it into his belly button. It might come in handy, or fetch a good price to bail him out of jail when he finally got to pulverize the cheif of the lab...

Just one note, -Z, if you happen to check back here. The only reason I put 'walked nearly to the end...' was because he was trying not to be seen. The peak thing would have to be pretty narrow if he were sitting in the center and could be seen at an angle; so narrow, in fact, that it would probably collapse onto the beach if one were to walk on it. Oh well, it doesn't really matter. Kira sighed as the hunters turned and gawped stupidly at him, but he didn't blame them, not like they saw a kid of 9 covorting around in a Humar suit holding a gladius on his shoulder every day. Several of them threw mocking comments at him and others tried to trip him, Kira simply sidestepped and made his way through the crowd. He checked his anger about controlling his anger, the ridiculus brags and lies really where starting to annoy him.

He glanced up ahead/As far as he could see =]/ there was a tall Ramar with blondish hair standing on a mount of a sort, and he was trying to retain peace amongst them, yet that was almost futile. Kira adjusted the gladius into a more comfortable position and waited...

All this squabbling was starting to give Bernie a headache, not only were they acting like children, it appears that some were children! He was a RAmar dammit, not some kind of nursebot. He just hoped that atleast some of them had read the mission briefing before coming down to the surface.

He shouldered his Inferno Bazooka and took out a telepipe mat. It was a small flexible square of transparent plastic, with a network of wires embeded into it. He pressed the button in the corner and threw it to the ground. Nothing happened. He picked it up and shook it a bit but it was clear that the security systems were blocking 'outgoing' telepipes.

There were a few gasps from the crowd and when he looked up he spotted the Sinow Berrill walk out into the open. It crouched and with a suitably menacing noise vanished from sight.

"Awww crap..."

Greebo mounted the top of a steep incline. Below him, a sea of bobbling hunter heads filled the area.

He set on foot down on the steep sandy incline leading down to the arena. Maybe they can show me the way out...

His foot slipped, and he began to get to the place he wanted to go much faster. His massive bulk began to roll down the hill, and when he reached the bottom, consequently flattened several of the nodding noobies.

His ton of flesh kept rolling and causing a wake of distruction until he crashed against qomething quite hard. But nothing was there...

This was very surprising to poor Greebo, who had never been to the Central Control Area.

It was even more surprising when a giant purple fish flew out of his stomach hole (I'm running out of names for it...) and destroyed the robot that appeared from nowhere.

Everyone stared at the blob that surged to its feet. More precisely, everyone stared at hid belly button.

Greebo reached in and pulled out the metal toy he picked up earlier. And a GOLLA head poped out of the air and blasted his face. He screamed in rage and began to beat the thing against the ground, shouting obscenities.

Someone from the crowd yelled, "Oh, NO! HE'S BEATING A PUSHAN TO DEATH!"

[Kadou]

Atop ihs outcropping of rock, the grey-coated man leaned out somewhat to the left to see what a sudden ruckus was about below. A young HUmar was bieng pummeled to death by what seemed to be empty air. A blonde RAmar was firing shot after shot from his Inferno Bazooka toward the hunter, but it didn't have any visable effect.

The man new better than to assume it was a ghost or demonic creature. He had, afterall, been one of the weapons technicians who had designed the early Sinow prototypes, and he was very familiar with the cloaking device the security robot below was using.

The RAmar fired another shot towards the metal beast, causing it to flicker momentarily into visability. It's armor was completely covered in cracks and dents, and pieces of it were starting to fall off. The man extended his arm toawrd the robot below and fired a bolt of electircity toward the left side of its head. The entire metal casing in which its head section was enclosed was blown off, and now clearly visable, were the smoking mechanical devices which controlled its cloaking, as well as its directional steering devices.

As Zi'Zuku and Nasca continued to wonder what could be the misterious stranger's intentions, the ranger's voice was heard.
"awww crap"
Nasca and Zi'Zuku quickly turned their heads in time to see what was going on. A Sinow Berill was aproaching and had vanished.
"You saw him too, did you ?" Nasca camly asked.
"Yes" Zi'Zuku simply replied
"Should we take care of it ?"
"No, let's see what this team can do."
"It may not be a good idea. Those foolish Hunters have not noticed the Sinow's presence yet"
"Better to know what they can do now instead of later" Zi'Zuku coldly replied.
"HHHHmmm"
"What ?"
"That boy over there, he seems to have also noticed the sinow's presence"
"You sure about that ?"
"I can bet my Sword on it" Nasca smiled as he said this.
"HHHmmm, I wonder...."

Kira sighed as the others around him where yelling and shouting, apparently this big blob of a man had inintentionally saved several of them from quite a deal of harm by squishing the sinow berril. Good, that meant he didn't have to take care of it for these whimps. Several of the hunters saw the look on his face, as if he was sneering at them all.

"Hey whats your problem kid, get the hell out of here this isn't a place for you"he continued with lame threats, as he approached him, the RAmar shutup, and stared at this kid who had the guts to stand up to him.

"Dont make me kill you" His voice was full of anger, there was no use repressing emotions, when you can harness their energy.

"What are you talking abo--"He slumped over unconcious as soon as the boy had jumped up and rammed his hand against the back of his neck.

This created quite a commotion, a ring was formed around him and several of the RAmars buddies decided to gang up on him. Kira knew he couldn't beat them if they all attacked together. Fortunatly another Ramar broke into the ring/the one trying to maintain order/ and spoke,

"THATS ENOUGH!!"
most of them came to a dead silence, this must be a highly respected hunter. The Ramar continued,

"There will be no fighting amongst each other, we have enough to worry about in the tower for you guys to be at the others throats."His voice was firm, and he held an air of authoritive experience.

Kira just stared into his eyes, Burnie shivered, that boy was not natural, there was something about him, so familliar...

As Wolf Nasca and Zi'Zuku wondered about the boy that had noticed the Sinow Berill and what would the boy do, a FAT, blob of a man dropped out of the sky and in front of the Sinow Berril. Suddenly, right out of the man's belly button, a huge purple THING came out it, and destroyed the Sinow Berril.

"What the hell just happened !!" Nasca said, with his eyes wide open O.o .
"I don't have a clue" Zi'Zuku replied with a bit of surprise in his voice.
"Where did that BLOB came from ?"
"I dunno, just another person for us to worry about" Zi'Zuku replied.
"By the way..."
"???"
"Did you just use zonde ?"
"No, I did not. Why ?"
"Someone just did"
"What ?, when ?" Zi'Zuku asked with curiosity.
"The Sinow was first hit by a bolt of zonde, and then finished off by the FAT guy"
"HHHmmm, could the stranger in the rocks be responsible ?"
"It is a possibility" Nasca replied
"HHHmmm, intriguing"

Suddenly, a fight broke up between a ranger and the boy.
"Hey whats your problem kid !?, get the hell out of here this isn't a place for you" Said the ignorant ranger.
"Dont make me kill you" The boy's voice was full of anger.
"What are you talking abo--" The ranger did not have the chance to finish his sentence. The boy had knock him sense-less with a single blow from his hand.
"Nice" Zi'Zuku said with a smile in his face
"Indeed. The boy is quite fast" Nasca said with a bit of admiration.

Hi everyone. I'm back and I'll be posting in five to ten minutes. Hopefully no one will do so before me and mess me up *glares at MQuantum*. Naw, I'm kidding. It doesn't really matter, but it's not very likely we'll get any posts anyway, seeing as everyone seems to think there has to be a half hour at least between one post and the next.

With the defeat of the Sinow Berril, the man turned his attention back to his Shadow Pallasch, which had just finished with its enhancements. He picked it up off the rock and placed it back in his pocket. Then, apparently with nothing else of interest, he laid back to nap. Just as he did so, the loud voices of the adolescent glory seekers rose again as they all yelled angrily at something.

The man grunted and rolled over. A young boy, maybe about ten, was standing over the body of a fallen RAmar. From this distance there were no visable holes or burns in the RAmar's armor, so it was not very likely he was dead. This was definitely of some interest. How could a child of that age have any more skill than the rest of the mob? Perhaps he didn't, the man thought. Perhaps he was just too close for the ranger to be able to fight well against him.

The man stood up and walked back down from his rock pinnacle. Even at the base he was still about twenty feet above the ground, standing at the edge of a small cliff that was bordered by short, tropical plants. He moved about 10 feet from the edge and walked for a short time until he was about parallel to the area where the boy was. Coincidentally, there was a large boulder nearby, and so he sat down behind it and looked down over the vast mob of people.

There actually seemed to be a few experienced Hunters in the group. This was percievable only because most of them had more rundown, dirty armor and advanced weaponry, not to mention they were somewhat older. One of these that caught the man's attention was a Newman with spiked hair and a face mask over his mouth. In his right hand a winged staff was loosely held, though it was very clear that he knew how to use it should that be necessary. The fact that caught the stranger's eye, though, was that he wore no visable indication of what his Sention ID was, and so he was either unauthorized to own the weaponry and armor he carried, or he was a legitimate Hunter but chose to ignore the law that made a visable Section ID badge necessary.

And a green armored RAmar stepped out, and most people sighed.

"Don't think that Bernie can have a party without inviting letting it slip to the military."

As the RAmar said that, he stepped out of the telepipe, and White/Blue armored HUmar stepped out, holding a Glassy-looking sword and a chao floated behind him.

"L.Soldier's in da house! Prepare to die!" He tried to attack someone when the green RAmar put a hand on his back.

"Killing is for monsters, not the dupers."

Zi'Zuku rose. his tattered cloak covering his shoulders and back swayed a bit in the wind, as the spike of hair hanging down over the right side of his face moved a bit.
"where are you going?" Nesca asked. Zi'Zuku paused.
"... i feel a bit uncomfotable. they dont seem to be breifing us, so i'm going to... take a walk"
Zi'Zuku started moving into the sea of people. two chatting hunters walked across wolf nesca's line of view. when they had passed, Zi'Zuku was gone.

Kira decided that he had drawn way to much attention to himself already, it had gotten bad enough without hunters mad at him. This was not the time to be ganged up on, he couldn't fail at this, not if he was going to save himself and his sister. Kira's sharp eyes darted from a few figures. The fat blob of a man doing some explaining, a newman with longish spiky hair withdrawing away from the crowd, and the Ramar, his name was Burnie. Then he glanced to his left, there was a figure perched on a rock cliff, and he or she was looking at him.

By the way the strnager held himself and the way his body was shaped Kira could tell that indeed he was male and had quite a bit of experience in stealth. He noticed that a few other hunters had spotted the figure as well. So he guessed there might be thirty experienced hunters here and the rest where just glory hungry idiots.

Kira made his way to Burnie, he obviously was in controll/more or less/ here. Kira reminded himself again of the reason he was here. First to gain a reputation as a great hunter, but there was a more pressing need. His baby sister was deathly ill, and they where poor, his parents where bums, and couldn't afford to take her to the hospital. His fist clenched as he remembered their abusive ways of treating them, he had to acomplish this, it was his and her only chance to lead a life with less misery...

Zi'Zuku started moving into the sea of people. two chatting hunters walked across wolf nesca's line of view, when they had passed, Zi'Zuku was gone.
Wolf Nasca smiled.
"I am glad that, Zi'Zuku is good too !! Perhaps I might have find two pupils. BUT ONLY TIME WILL TELL".
"But still, maybe I should have followed him in case he gets in any trouble..."

Kira stopped in his pursuit of Burnie to watch two figures. He shook his head sadly, two experts at stealth just couldn't mind their own buisness and leave eachother alone. Up ahead several hunters had sorrounded Burnie, he heard them speak, questioning his authority. Amazingly the Ramar managed to keep calm, instead of blowing up and killing the insolent hunters, or wounding them. But still he was sorrounded, this idiocy was going to have to stop.

Four hunters drew their swords and where now approaching Burnie ready to strike. Kira sized them up in an instant, they where poor, their armor was rusted, and their weapons dull. They thought that maybe the leader/Burnie/ had some good equipment and money, several of them where practically drooling at the inferno bazooka. Kira turned the dial at the base of the hilt on the gladius counter clockwise, the brilliant gold of the saber became more dull, this way he would only knock to idiots out.

Burnie had raised his weapon defensivly, ready to fend for himself when one of the men grunted and fell over face first. A long burn in the mans back indicated the slash mark. The other three turned to Kira too late, he swiped gently across the throat of one, then the others backed away scared. Burnie kicked the two in the back of the legs so that they fell to their knees.

"Are you in charge here?"Kira inquired of Burnie...

Interest ceased yet again. The throng of people had gone back to idle talk, and the one person that caught the man's attention save the boy had left. This was of mild concern. The man knew perfectly well that he had been noticed, but primarily by those who would choose to ignore him until he became a threat. This one, however, seemed like the kind who might decide to get rid of a potential threat before it harms anything.

The man moved around to the side of the rock boulder facing away from the sea and peaple. No one could possibly see him now, and it would be almost impossible to sneak up on him with his back to the rock. The man then placed his hand inside his left pocket and wrapped his fingers around the handle of his repeater, just in case.

Zi'Zuku was finally out of the crowd, and into the open. he looked to the large area of rocks the man had figure he saw hiding was before. he stretched his arms out, rose to his tippy toes to get his blood moving a bit, and would have smiled had a face mask not been stitched to his face.
He got down from his third toe rise.

The figure in the rocks was still watching the talented child. however, something distracted him. a black figure shot out of the crowd in an all out run (suppa fast). the figure, now recognizable as the IDless fonewm was running, leaning forward, and constantly changing direction, as if he were trying to rush a sniper. unfortunatly, when he kicked off, it sent a bit of sand at some of the hunters, and atracted a few heads.
"wheres he going?" a voice sounded
the fonewm turned his head, and realized the crowd had seen him. he turned to the side towards the seachore where a few 5 foot rocks jutting out over the water. he jumped over one, yet there was no splash. a few of the hunters were dumbfounded when no sign of him appeared once he had jumped over. the coated man was trying to think ip of a few possibilites, but about a minute later realized he wasn't concentrating on what he was supposed to, and tunrend back to the crowd.

he knew that sound. the sound of something penetrating rock. he quickly spun around to see a tattered black cloak dissapear over the top of the cliff some 50 yards away.

"Ok, listen up. This way everyone. Follow me!"
Everyone looked at him for a brief second before returning to what they were doing.
"I think there are rares up there." He said aloud.

At that everyone started to make their way towards the entrance.

The coated man looked cautiously around. There were a couple flickers of black when Zi'Zuku had slowed, but other than this, he was invisable. Behind the man, the crowd was setting off toward the north under the lead of a blonde RAmar. Though he did not expect to catch Zi'Zuku, the grey-coated man also broke into a run so that he would be invisible as well.

The two ran more or less in the same direction the vast mob was moving, often circling back so that they don't go too far ahead, should the group turn somewhere.



Am I interpreting this wrong, or are my guy and Zi'Zuku slightly faster than the average person? Or can everybody run at least as fast as sound, and nobody told me?

Kira sighed, maybe burnie wasn't as respected as he had hoped, oh well. He followed him up the remainder of the ramp to the next room. It was rather large area, mist hung in the air, and as they walked their clothes moistened. Up ahead there where laser fences, that if you touched would set off an alarm. Kira and Burnie stopped, and Burnie raised his inferno bazooka to disable the fences when a serious mistake was made. They had forgotten to signal for them to stop, and the rest of the ametures kept on walking, a few stupid enough to get hit by the fences. A bright red light flashed, and flashed again, Kira raised his Gladius, here they come...

The hunters confidence failed them as five sinow berrils appeared before them, then they lowered their metallic arms behind them and cloaking was activated. Kira's eyes followed the slight distortion of the sorroundings, their cloaking wasn't perfect, it bended light around them, so they where only barely visible at the edges. Then they appeared again, they had circled around the mass, one had cut off the flow of hunters that where still heading up the ramp, and the other four formed a tight diamond around them. Kira nudged Burnie in the ribs to get his attention, the Ramar nodded, these rookies wouldn't take long to lose against the berrils, and it wasn't going to be easy just between the two of them...

the coated man ran out from the rock area and was crossing the beach in an attempt to catch up and watch the kid unnoticed.

he had just started running across the beach when a shadow appeared up ahead.
the IDless fonewm had just used his caduceus as a pole vault to launch himself into the air. he then remmebered the rocks the fonewm had hid in before. he threw a bit of sand into the air, and ran for them. the fonewm had to close his eyes, which gave him enough time to run for the rocks.

Zi'Zuku landed hard from the fall, and went into a roll. he quickly flipped himself up, and looked around. the coated man was... gone.
Zi'Zuku looked around closely one more time to make sure nobody could really see him. he built up enough confidence, and moved to the side the spike of hair covering the right side of his face. what was under it was-
*i'm sorry. if you would like to make a call, please hang up and try again*
-amn" he said as as the last trace of heat dissapeared from behind the rocks. he quickly patted down the spike of hair, and went to meet up with wold nesca and the others.
"what an interesting walk..."

Many of the hunters immediatly took up their weapons. Those few who had any fighting experience were surprised ro see that those who carried sabers or swords didn't try to hold them by the blade. One of the four Sinows that had surrounded the group shuddered as a shell expliding against its back, but did not turn around. Rather, it kept swinging its enormous metal fists at the Hunters nearest to it. Just as it was thrusting its fist toward the face of a bruised HUmarl, Kira leapt at it from behind and severed its arm off at the shoulder, reversed his grip on his Gladius, and jabbed it through the armor of the Berril. In response, four vents opened at various locations in the metal beast's armor, and from them sheets of seering fire shot out towards everyone around it.

Several hunters were staring around for the Sinow berril which had blocked their exit. From nowhere, it seemed, flames burst outward, killing those nearest to their source and sending the rest running fearfully into whoever was behind them.

Then, also seeming from out of the blue, a grey-coated man fell on the robot, invertedly gripping a gladius which was running through the Sinow's head. in his other hand was a pllasch that flickered occasionally with black flame. The robot became visable for a moment before its backup cloaking kicked in. The man removed his gladius, and spun around, slashing across the Sinow's back with each weapon. Continuing the motion, at the very end of his turn he thrust his gladius into the center of the Sinow's back.

Kira was panting, he and Burnie where hard pressed to keep the five sinow's from slaughtering the newbies, since they cant even look after themselves, or run away properly, it was up entirely to them, may be not 'only'.A man in a grey cloak had come, and helped them to defeat one of them, lets hope he could do more.

He stopped in his tracks, three of them had ganged up on him, and the other had Burnie occupied, this wasn't good. Kira threw himself at the floor, luckily for him, the ground was wet, so he slid along underneath the feet of a berril{good thing he's so small -_-'} Kira rose quicly bringing the gladiuse up along with him, giving it the momentum to pierce through the energy unit on the berril's back. It fell to the floor, immobiliezed. Yet the other two where not human so they did not tire, and a huge steel fist caught him in the chest, sending him flying back, and skidding along the ground.

A berril followed him, and raised its fist up, ready to follow through and kill him...


Burnie glanced at Kira for a moment, oh shit, he side stepped as a berril brought its two metal hands down to the ground, the floor cracked under the force of the blow. It was too late for him to save Kira, he hoped that someone in the damn mob of idiots out there could somehow, maybe the man in grey could get there in time, or someone else...

Eh, sorry if my post doesn't fit in correctly. There was a delay between the time I finished typing and the time I hit the submit button. No, I'm not going to tell you what caused the delay, so don't ask. I'll try and fix it after I read your last post, Surankai.

[edit] Ah, good. It looks like I won't have to edit it. Oh, and it's a coat, not a cloak. There's a difference, but seeing as he keeps it unbuttoned and open, the difference isn't really that great. Notice how he uses the Gladius and Shadow Pallasch the same way one might use a Musashi or something; don't you think Hunters should be able to do this at a certain level? And maybe forces could learn level 33 Megid (30 is a 93% chance of death or something, so 33 would probably be 100%). That would be rediculous, I know.



After having openned an escape route for the Hunters, the coated man (I would say stranger so that I don't have to keep referring to him as 'the man', but that's only other peoples' perception of him, and my writing is somewhere between omniscient and his perspective) leapt upward again with intent of hiding and watching from the rocks above. He stopped short on the first stable ledge, however, staring out at Kira, who was about to be crushed by the fist, or foot, or something of a Sinow Berril. Kira had a great potential, and it would be completely wasted should he die here. The distance was too far to jump or accuratly cast zonde.

The man thought for a moment, then, spotting a redheadded RAmarl armed with a sniper, immediatly forced himself into her mind. There was a chaos of fear and exhileration there, but he pushed those aside, cocked the rifle in the genreal direction of the Sinow, and fired.

INSERT OUTCOME OF SHOT HERE

The man's consciousness returned to his own body, and found himself on the laying ground with a pair of hunters staring at him in bewilderment. He stood up, and shook his head, causing his pnytail of long black hair to flutter. Somehow his hat had managed to stay on his head, if only barely. He tipped it foward and leapt up into the rocks above, leaving the two confused hunters staring after him.

Yeah, the guy is a telepathist, but he only uses that skill on rare occasion, and usually for long-range communication. I was going to leave this out, but if Zi'Zuku gets to see heat, then I should get this.

He looked around to find the group of hunters, bernie, and the rest at the site. the alarm was flashing and would not cease in that room. he found wolf nesca.

Short post, to get Greebo back in...

Greebo lifted the crushed Pushan and shook it like a rag doll. "YOU WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! I WILL SMASH YOU IF YOU DO!" The small eyelight blinked in agreement, and Greebo stored the sparking metal being in his personel storage space (Aka, belly button, navel, PSS).

He turned around and plowed through the mass of hunters. "You, Ranger! YOU WILL SHOW ME THE WAY OUT SO I CAN KILL NATASHA!" Bernie turned around in surprise.

"Me?" bernie said, rightly so at such an odd request.

"Yesssss, YOU! YOU know what's going on, and YOU aren't an annoying nuscence that speaks an unknown language! Do YOU see any other RANGERS around here?!" When Bernie began to actually count the rangers still standing, Greebo got mad.

"I will eat you if you do not show me the way out!" He hitched his pants a little higher, to cover more than half of his derriere, and cracked his knuckles menacingly.

Bernie shrugged and began to walk away. "Follow me, then. The exit is where the mission will be complete."

Greebo nodded, because finnaly something was going his way. His revenge would be complete!

Ok, online there are two quests: the east tower (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=938) and the west tower (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1133).
they start off in the CCA before entering large towers divided into small sections (see the maps) like a spiral staircase.

ill Gill: black pointy-headed HUcast looking evil SOBs. they wield long scythes and can immobilise people (like grass assassins) with black smoke.
epsilon: looks like a tiny vol opt but is practically industructable when his leg segments are attached. eventually they fly off and orbit him, thats when hes vunerable.

I've seen a tower quest being played... Didn't get to see many enemies because the level 4 dupers/hackers/pwz joo-ers/people in this story killed everything before I could see it...

Kira stared in disbelief at the Sinow berril, somewhere something had come and completely destroyed its arm, he quickly rolled to the side as the berril couldn't stop its own momentum and fell over. He took his chance and drove his gladius into the sinows power unit. Yet immobilizing another.

Thus, there where two of them left, but they wouldn't have to be fighting them. Their fighting of the sinow's must have raised the courage of the rest of the hunters, and they where working together now to beat the remaining two. Kira dug his gladius into the ground and leaned heavily on it. Even after training himself mercilessly, he still wasn't a god. There still was so much left to learn about this, that only experience can teach him.

Kira straightened up, rubbed his sore arm a moment before going to the man in a grey'coat'.

"Thanks for helping out here, I couldn't have done it bymyself."

The man" seemed startled that Kira was able to find him, and turned to hide his face. He shook his head and took leave of his presence.

Kira wondered about all these mysterius people here, and why would this mission require so many hunters? He decided that Burnie might know more, and left to ask him a few questions...

Zi'Zuku saw the hunters take out the speigels in the room. he was somewhat impressed they did such, but it would take more than that to make it through here.
the team went to the next room.
*clunk*
5 sinnow berrils and 3 sinnow speigels had just appeared. the group watched intentively as they all seemed to dissapear. Zi'Zuku noticed the slight distortions in the enviornment, but that was not of the main concern right now. before they could even reach the group, a ramarl from what seemingly was magic, was lifted into the air, her stomach and armor concave now.
Zi'Zuku rushed forward with his caduceus, now growing red, and brought it down a little left of the ramarl. the ramral was thrown back into the group, and Zi'Zuku hit... nothing. a small blas of fire singed the ground where his weapon hit.
*wham!*
he had been knocked back about 5 feet from a sudden blow to the back.
*clunk clunk clunk*
it was coming to kill him... foolish machine ^_^
"Gifoie!"
3 speeding balls of fire created a whirlwind of flame around him. the speigel had raised its arms over its face as it reappeared a bit in front of him.
he rushed forward, his caduceus growing bright red, and shoved the red jewel atop his weapon into the speigels torso. the torso began to grow red from the heat growing inside its own body. soon its entire body was bright red-orange, and began to smoke a bit.
"Foie!"
the fireball emerging from the tip of his weapon sent the speigel flying off into the air, where it exploded in a blaze, its remnants incinerating.
Zi'Zuku turned around to expect a gorup of hunters staring around dumbfoundedly as their friends wee getting slaughtered. but to his surprise and liking, they were already attacking the other sinnows.
EDIT: gotta go in 5 minutes (i only got a dellayed opening from the hurricane). i'll check back after school ^_^

Kyra reached the Labs and found them to be in a state of chaos. Lab technicians were running around pointing at monitors and talking excitedly.

Nearby a small group of Hunters milled around waiting for something.From the way that they carried themselves she could tell they were experienced. She had a FOmar classification and had only ventured to the surface a few times but she knew when something serious was afoot.

No one there would answer her questions and when they discovered her level ranking she found herself escorted back to the guild desk.

She realised she would have to find another way and headed back to the residential areas, she was seeking a very specific person.

She did not notice but a shadowy figure followed behind at some distance.

Logical2u and L.Soldier, pushed along in the wave of level 3 dupers, continued to the tower.

Suddenly, the group stopped to kill some stuff.

Then Logical2u had an idea. He looked at the HUmar next to him and whispered "Watch and learn how to talk to dupers and get their attention..."

"Ok!"

"Shh!"

A pause.

"| PWNZ J00 4||! G0 T0 t43 T|> t[-]3t |5 G t0 g0 t0 t34 T0//37!"

He cast ryuker, and stepped out of the way.

20000 level 4 HUmars, Humarls, Hucasts, HUcaseals, RAcasts, RAmarls, FOnewearls, FOnewms, RAmars, and FOmars rushed the telepipe to get into the tower. Then, Logical2u stepped into it at the end, and then came right back down, and shouted "OK! NO MORE TELEPIPES!"

L.Soldier sat down, slightly trampled, and took out the Replica Flowen's Sword.

"Does this mean I can fight now?"

"Yes, you can."

A few shadowly looking people remained, one with a mask, Bernie was here still, a couple of Forces, a dozen or so experienced HUs, and a few shotgun carrying RAs with mechguns. Not level 4, either.

Logical2u took out a Durandul and put his Ano Rifle away, and yelled "CHARGE!" as a dozen Sinow Berrills appeared and let loose firey explosions.

12 sinnows... this will be fun...
Zi'Zuku immediatly cast a barta (hooray for my level 29 simple techs! ^_^), which froze the sinnow from the 'knees' down. Zi'Zuku immediatly rushed forward, and low kicked the frozen area, shattering the lower legs. the sinnow fell to the floor. Zi'Zuku raised his caduceus over his head, and slammed the spiked bottom into the sinnow's hull, casting a Rabarta. the sinnow immediatly froze over, and shattered.
a second distortion approached, from behind.
*clunk*
Zi'Zuku spun around. the sinnows arm had just barely grazed his face when a small blizzard emerged from Zi'Zuku's caduceus, puching it back across the area. the gibarta pecked away at its hull, and left it seriously dented. Zi'Zuku put down his weapon and concentrated hard.
"Megid"
a large dark ball of darkness shot forth and destroyed the sinnow. Zi'Zuku picked up his weapon, and looked for any other changes in the envoirnment...

Bernie was quite astonished, Logical had created a telepipe and spoken some alien language, a mind control spell perhaps and the babysitting problem had taken care of itself.

Now with only a dozen people left, they could possibly get on with their mission. Bernie leveled his inferno bazooka at some empty space up ahead and started firing...

Kira had to knock out a few hunters to avoid being stampeded into the telepipe, and the apperance of twelve sinow's didn't greet him to well. He Made sure his gladius was at max power and charged head on.


The remaining hunters, had at least a decent amount of experience, but 12 of the spiegels was going to be tough. Kira ducked as the first row of foes swung out, and he was so amall that merely crouching down put him out of their range. When the six spiegels had to momentarily get prepared to attack again he struck. Jumping up high he grabbed the rim around one of their'necks" and quickly stabbed into it at a slanted angle so the photon blade of the gladius penetrated deep, and then came out and pierced the power supply on its back.

Kira quickly jumped to the next ones head, it had been about to strike a fonewearl who hadn't been able to keep at a distance. Unfortunatly as he drove his gladuis through the spiegels back, it started to fall backwards as well.

"Shit, not good!" Kira pulled the blade out a little bit, and puled himself around the sinow, to its front, dragging the hot photon blade all the way around. He jumped back, and an explosion meeted his efforts. Kira did not stop, but headed straight for the next foe.

yet this time he wasn't lucky, it caught him, and slammed a huge metal fist into his chest[again, ouch] and sent him flying backwards. Yet he was so close to the edge of the CCA bridge, he was sent flying off of the edge. Kira saw the ground quickly approaching, he tried to brae himself for impact. The last thing he heard was a sickening crunch followed by immense pain, then nothing at all.


Back at the ranch...


Burnie took a moment to survey the battle field, all of the previous combatants where there, just a few of them where dead. There still where three speigels left, but where was Kira???

I just went looking around for a screenshot of one, but I couldn't find any, and I don't feel like beating Central Control Area on Normal right now.

a speigel resembles a berril, but is slightly redish, and uses gifoie instead of whatever. it also instead of only blending with the enviornment, cloaks completly like the seabed sinnows.

Well, I knew it was red, or pink, or something like that, but I thought that it might vary a little more, like how a Gobooma is like a yellow Booma, but with a mohawk. And I thought it was the Berrils who use Gifoie. I remember the first time I saw one I was scared half to death because I was gifoied in a narrow cave in seaside and then punched a couple times.

Greebo was in the middle of the group of the annoying hunters when more alien language was shouted. And all the hunters dissappeared. He didn't know where they went, but he didn't care. Greebo was happy for the first time today.

He looked around, and saw the remaining people ahead of him. For some reason though, they were smacking at the air with their little tiny swords. Every so often, a big smoking robot would fall to the ground.

He ran (wait, who am I kidding?)- Rolled up to the rest of the group. "WHY ARE WE NOT GOING TO THE WARP?!"

A tall Ranger looked at him. "Sorry, I closed it already..."

"DON'T YOU HAVE ANY MORE?"

"nope, all out..." He shot down another large metal being.

Greebo stopped being happy. These stupid people were paying more attention to the robots that getting to the warp.

"DIE ROBOTS!" He reached into his PSS (heh, does anyone remember what that is?) He pulled out two very shiny, 16 inch steel beuties. Everyone gasped as he took a battle stance...


"GO MY BLAZING MONKEY WRENCHES!" Greebo flicked the wrenches into dagger position and charged one of the berrils, twirling and dodging attacks at lightning speed. Within seconds, the berril was a smoking mess on the floor, and Greebo was nearly unconscious from the exertions.

"I just wish that had been Natasha..." he muttered wistfully.

Ok sorry that took so long! first i got a phone call, that took a while, then i got another phone call (same guy), then i killed a speigel, and didnt get a chance to look at it, then i found one and cathered the info i need, but i was so close i decided to kill the gal gryphon while i was there, thus bringing me here.
Sinnow speigel= sinnow berril with red shoulderplates, not green, slightly different shaped hands, can cast gifoie and resta, fully cloaks, and has sinnow zoa/zela 'warp to behind you' ability

Kira opened his eyes slowly, immensly surprised that he was alive. His mag hovered near him, he stroked it thankfully, he would've been dead if it weren't for it. He managed to stand, he was a bit sore, all over, and he wasn't sure how many of his ribs where broken, but he tried to see the good side of the situation. He is not dead, and he is not sure if any of the other hunters have realized that he is gone, or even cares. To add to it, his fivew year old sister was living off of borrowed time and his parents refuse to take her to the hospital simply because they cant afford it, they'd rather let her die. His anger coursed through him, re energizing him.

Kira sighed, and glanced around, this wasn't the time to blow his top, he had to figure out a way to rejoin the other hunters from here...

Methinks you should have made Kira a little older than nine, Surankai. Twelve or so would have been a suitable age, if you insist on making him a child. He kind of reminds me of Zeren from my own fic, but younger and more serious. Well, actually, I never fully formed Zeren's personality, but you get the idea.
Oh yeah, before I forget; if your character's parents are hobos and he just started his career as a hunter in order to save his sister, where'd he get the money to buy a gladius? Or did he find it in somebody's trash?
One more thing. Isn't the Central Control bridge a dam, and if Kira fell off it wouldn't he have landed in the water? Or am I thinking of something else?

As Logical2u and Bernie stood near the middle of the assualt group on the tower, Bernie lifted on finger in the air and pointed at something in the distance.

"What the!" was Logical2u's only reply.

Nah, I was reffering to the seat of the heart quest where you get the chance to jump off the bridge to activate the switch to restore power to a teleporter to the tower, sorry for the misunderstanding...

Standing somewhere up high and actually hidden (all your characters seem to have unwholesomely sharp vision) from the Hunters below, the grey-coated man surveyed the battle. He had seen the boy that had caught his interest being attacked by a Speigel, but his attention was averted when one of the cloaked machines warped behind and attacked him. He now looked about, trying to see what had happened to the young hunter, when his eyes fell upon a stray saber-type laying unactivated near the edge of the bridge.

Quite more than just a bit disquieted, the coated man bounded from wherever he was down to the battle field and dashed across, dodging Sinows both active and not as he went. Without hesitation he leaped over the edge of the bridge curled nearly into a ball for a short moment as he attached two short straps near the bottom of his coat with practiced skill to a loop of tough fabric on the back of each of his padded shoes. He then extended his legs so that his fall was slowed just enough to keep from breaking his ankles and legs upon landing.

Even as the man fell he could vaguely make out a small human shape that was apparently just standing in one place. Unless the boy was carrying a scape doll, the man couldn't think of any way he could have survived the fall, at least not until a moment later, when the boy's MAG came into visibility as more than just a misplaced blur.

The man landed almost silently on the ground behind the boy, who turned quickly around on impulse and winced. Apparently he was still injured. There was an awkward moment of silence before the boy opened his mouth to speak, "Who a-"

"Quiet," the man cut him off. Unbeknownst to the child, the man was silently probing his body for injuries with the use of his mind alone. The boy attempted to speak again, but was interrupted by the peculiar light-headedness a Resta from the coated man brought.

"That should keep you alive," the man said briefly. He bent and removed the straps of his coat from his shoes, then stood back up and peered upward toward the the place from which he had jumped. He could still see a few flashes of flame from the Speigels or Bernie's Inferno Bazooka.

"Who are you?" the boy said quickly to keep from being interrupted again. The coated man turned around to look at him. Two intense green eyes stared out from the shadows of his hat, which for some reason didn't fly off when he jumped. They were keen and perceptive, but in a way they were also soft, with a veiled hint of forgotten compassion.

"Who am I?" the man asked, "Well now, I don't even know who you are."

You should with all the time you've spent staring at me, Kira thought to himself. He hesitated slightly before answering with, "Kira." There didn't seem to be any particular concern in telling this man his name, seeing as he couldn't really be tracked down if he didn't have a home (just an assumption, Surankai. If I'm wrong, let me know).

"My name is Arai," the man replied. With that, he resumed scanning for a path back up to the bridge.

"Thank you" the boy murmured.

"It was no great thing," Arai said, shrugging off a jump from at least a hundred feet above and curing wounds that, even with a resta or two from someone else, save maybe Zi'Zuku, would have taken weeks to heal. Kira blinked. Though he didn't intend to keep Arai from hearing his words, Kira was still somewhat surprised that he responded.

"Why haven't you joined the group?" Kira asked, though he knew it was none of his business. As long as Arai was finally talking, though, he might as well try to get some information out of him.

Arai didn't answer immediatly. He seemed to have found the path to the bridge he was looking for. When he finally did respond, it was with the words, "For several reasons. The only one I'll tell you is that I don't want the others getting angry with me if I don't help them. I didn't come here to destroy the products of my previous work."

"Even if that other guy keeps attacking you?"

"I find our fights rather exhilerating," Arai said with a wry smirk. "You didn't by chance see him with a MAG, did you?"

"No."

"Good."

That came out a lot longer than I expected. Probably beacuase I started it two hours ago and then sat around, waiting for a reply from Surankai or somebody else who can go online and occasionally making changes or adding stuff to it.

After the lower level Hunters had been cleared from the Labs, serious work could begin. One of the technicians became excited and called her supervisor over.

"I think i've found it again. The energy pulse."
"where?"
"Er, it appears to be located about one kilometre below the surface of the island."
"Possibly for kind of underground research facitily, just like the mines. I'll inform Ms. Milarose immediately."

The more experienced Hunters watched the newbies being escorted out.
"I hope we get sent down soon. I need some action real bad." Said one of them.

Yes Kira is homeless. He is 9, and if you notice he doesn't chop his enemies in half with one fair swoop of his galdius. He attackes vital points that are unarmored and obvious. The only time he really cut a spiegel in half is when it was falling over, so he used its momentum against itself, carving it nearly in two...

And where did a poor boy learn to fight like he does and where did he get a gladius from? well with Arai speaking I can tell you that.

Kira and Arai walked in uncomfortable silence. Arai was thinking,if the boy could ask him questions, why couldn't he? Taking one look at Kira's face, he sighed, then began,

"Where did you learn to fight like that? I mean, Not every kid like yourself can face sinows head on.."

"I dont fight them head on, I'd die that way. Growing up on the streets, you have to see weakness' early, or get killed."

Kira's voice stilled sounded slightly pained, Arai nodded, but Kira's answer brought about more questions, but he didn't wan't to start on those yet. Kira relieved him by continuing,

"Such as trying not to get caught by the guards, You have to see places they will over look. Or when you have to fight for a dry place to sleep."Arai started

"Are you-"

"I have parents, they beat us, and talk about our good for nothing uncle and how he condemmed them to the streets."

"Why are you avoiding the guards?"Arai was beggining to fall into the deepness of this kids past.

"My uncle, he's a wanted criminal. They caught me once, asked where he was, they beat me more for lying to them..."

"You know where he is?"Each question answered brung of five more in its place.

"NO, but they dont believe me."

Arai though a moment before speaking again.

"You said you parents beat us, meaning more than one of you?"He regretted asking the question, because as soon as he did Kira's serence face became wreathed with anger.

"Yeah, there my ill five year old sister who is on her death bed, and they wont even take her to the hospital because they say they dont have the money, its true, but they are also afraid to be interrogated about my uncle"

Arai sroked his forehead, this was getting complicated, maybe he should stop here. But something about the kid, sparked his intrest, such strength coming from someone so small.

Arai shook his head, this kid had a mix of anger and thankfullness around him. But one thing was for sure, now that he knew he could never forgett or get uninvolved.


They reached to top of the rampway leading back to the bridge. Bernie nodded to them as they approached,

"Thought we lost you"Kira replied

"Just trying to find my way..."

Bernie puzzled over what the boy meant, Arai smiled for once as Kira held the gladius.

Kira knew that things where going to be hard, but he couldn't give up, he couldn't fail like the rest of them...

Phantom sneaks past the guard standing at the entrance of the teleporter, gets out his spc link ppc mini laptop which he uses to hack into the lock system, after ten seconds it opens. Phantom, a Fomar in a black and red robe, shiny and sleek. His Long ice blue hair hanged below his shoulders, a twinkle in his eyes.

He ran to the teleporter, a summit moon in his right hand, the end shining like a star in the breeze, he had arrived in a mountinous area. All strange animals hauled themselves at him, he used his adv. techs to slaughter them to kill them off. As they fell amny revived, was this heaven or hell, earth or sky or Living or dead.

As he rounded all of the other creatures, then next door opened, to another unknown spot, this was the only way to train for phantom. He was looking for something, that something was a need not a want. The only way he could save the one person who mattered to anyone.

More creatures fell and finnaly a giant boulder with fists appeared, taking swipes but missing, falling. Darkness enclosed the monster to its barbarious ways, its primitive from. With the help of light it could transform, but if darkness took over again everyone would be doomed from the monster.

It dropped to the ground with a cry and a last breath, as it fell something dropped from its mouth, a special antidote to cure darkness, to let the light in, to transform.

The group came to a halt outside the massive blast doors of the tower. Unlike the previous 2 towers there was no teleporter located outside to conveniently beam them in.
After several tries to hack the door's control panel proved fruitless, Bernie questioned the group, "Anyone have any ideas?"

Bernie and the group halted outside the military blast doors.

"Any ideas?"

Logical2u shook his hand in the air.

"Blow the door down... every military installation has a weakness... beit structural or computer. "

"How do you know its a military installation?"

"Uhm... because. Check my file when this is all over."

The green ramar took out another inferno bazooka and nodded at Bernie.

Kira smiled as the huge metal doors fell free from their frames, personally he would of done it in a neater fashion though. that man was definatly military, maybe he quit or something. He knew how to distinguish guard from citizens or hunters, he had grew up running from them...

"What are you all gawping at, lets go" Bernie sounded mildy impatient. Kira and the others entered the first room of the tower...

Greebo was the rear gaurd for the group. He took it as his solomn duty to protect the huters from rear attack. Actually, he just didn't like to overwork him self... Or work at all... or do anything but eat...

*RUMBLE* "EARTHQUAKE!!!!" Several of the hunters dived to the ground, trying not to fall off the edge of the dam.

"Sorry, that was my stomach..." Geerbo received some dirty glares as the ones who had hit the dirt got up and brushed themselves off.

Speaking of angry looks, the man in grey and the face masked Force seemed to be looking at each other a lot. Greebo wondered if anyone would miss one of them. They were looking a little tasty.

They reached the steel doors, and Greebo suddenly shouted "I AM HUNGRY!" and lunged at the two. Fortunately, the were disracted by the collapsing door, and Greebo only got a few more bad looks from the disgruntled hunters.

They walked a little farther, And several monsters appaered. "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING?!"

Geebo considered the creepy monsters. "GREEBO HAS FOUND SUTABLE FOOD! PREPARE TO BE ASSMILATED!" He plowed through the peeps in front of him, bent on consumption.

Well, I'm back from a day wasted on socializing and homework. I just read through, and it doesn't seem like anyone has misconcieved Arai yet, so I guess I don't have to correct anybody. Oh, if Zi'Zuku has/had a Nidra, then why didn't you mention it, -Z?

Arai was not particularly interested in destroying the creatures that had just appeared, and with Greebo's appetite, no one had to worry. Rather than uselessly exerting himself, he leapt up to the rafters near the cieling and began repeatedly driving at the locked exit with blasts of basic telekinesis.

Kira barely managed to avoig being knocked over by a big blob of a man running up to the advancing creatures. As he began to devour them Kira looked away in disgust, had it no shame? He noticed Arai up ahead working on the locked door.


But the del lily did seem of threat...

they had little time to ract, and all crambled out of the way, as the megid blast speeded towards them at an amazing rate. it hit the wall behind them, and left it to corrode (sp?). the lily was already rearing back its head. the group advanced on the creatures. kira, bernie, and wolf nesca dodged the explotion from a spore the gi gue let out from it's thorax. Zi'Zuku, greebo, and a few other competant hunters who ahd joined them ran around the gibbles, ducking under its massive swings. however... arai seemed to head... elsewhere.
the group charged the lily. bernie let loose a blast of his infernal bazooka, kira thrust forward with a powerful swing of his gladius. breebo tackled the thing and attempted to eat off one of the spike like limbs growing from it. wolf nesca removed his weapon, and unleashed his furry. the other hunters attacked with their weapons, as Zi'Zuku fired a gibarta at it.
the lily screamed in fury, and swund its head like that of a chain mace. the entire group was hit and thrown backwards. the lily reared back its head, and let a megid soar loose.
the ball of death headed towards...

The twirling mass of dark energy flew at the group at amazing speed. Kira saw a Ramarl turn too late, running as fast as he could he tried to do something to avoid a death. There was a flash as the megid sped past him and hit its target...

Kira sank down to his knees to catch the falling Ramarl's body. She stared at him, then her eyes dulled over, and her form started to grow cold. He stood, seeing death that close was so much different. Now turning to the Del lily, It threw another mass of darkness at him, but this time he was ready...

The gladius caught the energy straight on, but somehow the two where attracted together, and the saber weapon seemed to absorb the energy. The radient gold now turned to more of a burning red.

Kira moved with new strength coursing through him, he couldn't let anyone else die, there had been to much of it already. The gladius still burning red foung its way to the head of the great big black bristling neck of the Del lily. It scream echoed through the tower chamber, it sank to the ground, bleeding profusedly dead...

A hunter walked up to him,

"Good job, and we only lost one to!'

"Life is to precious, one makes it all the more a failure"Kira's tone was frigid, and the hunter didn't speak to him again for the rest of the mission...

Phantom sipped a little of the potion, he felt an eneregy rush through him. He checked all the creatures, dead. Phantom raised in the air and flew fast. So fast it seemed that the world was enclosing in on him, getting smaller until he was a black spot.

Phantom appeared in front of the group advancing through the tower. They were about to go through but phantom stopped them.

"Who are you???" asked kira, his gladius, red and mysterious. "I am phantom, protector sent by fate, I have summat you need" replied phantom. His nidra white in the dim light, glowing like the fruit of the earth.

"I have a liquid here, it can revive your sister, bring her to life. The hospital cannot save her, she will deform into her primitive side, kill anything that moves and feed of it. There is a catch though, all these people will die of the guardian of darkness unless you drink the potion and finish the quest", said phantom sorrowly. "One has fallen now none will survive, I was too late", said phantom quietly looking at the ramar.

"You must choose" said phantom "I will stay with the group till the end or you will all perish from going mad, this tower has many tricks, its best is sanity. Choose wisely young one I can only advise not order....!!!!!!!"

"I choose......." answered kia going into deep thought!!!!!

As the group walked to the door among the bodies of GiGues and Del Lilies, Logical2u looked at the installation he was now in.

It was very... drab and boring. Grey walls, large metallic windows and a couple of entry terminals near the door. He holstered the Inferno Bazooka and took out his Ano-Rifle.
A flirt of light flew by, the RAmar dismissed it.

It took form as Phantom, watch-salesman, assasian, and uhm... other stuff he forgot... exradinaire... It was on his card. *note to self... get refund for 'watch'.*

As the group healed the RAmarl that was hit by the megid and continued to the doors, Logical2u shot out his hand and yelled "STOP!!!! YOU FOOLS!!!!"

A child turned to look when Bernie stepped through the Photonic sheild gaurding the entry door and a loud alarm blared.

Suddenly, a dozen ports on the walls that were not covered by windows opened and non-photonic machine guns popped out... the bullets sprayed.

After apparently having knocked down the metal door and hopped down from the rafters, Arai, as he often did when facing a danger of some sort, broke into a run. Unfortunetly for himself, he was equipped only with the most basic of photonic barriers, and so was forced to duck down behind the body of a fallen Gibbles. He took a short moment, during which Bernie destroyed one of the guns with his Inferno Bazooka, and concentrated his thought on shielding himself.

Somebody shouted as a photon bullet managed to break through their armor, but Arai could not see who it was. He leaped over the dead Gibbles and began running directly toward the nearest gun, Gladius in hand. Every bullet fired at him vanished in a small shower of blue sparks, and with one stroke the gun was removed.

mounds of bullet casings fell to the floor.
"SCRAMBLE!!!"
the group started running about the room as a trail of laid followed closely behind. everyone was running as fast as they could to avoid becoming swiss cheese. bernie and logical started to take aim as they run.
"We'll have to take these things out..."
a rocket let lose and one of the machine guns exploded. Kira threw his gladius across the room into one of the machine guns, causing it to faulter immediatly. as he ran to retreive it, one bullet went astray, and headed streight for him. it was inches away from his face when what seemed like an invisible force stopped it immediatly. arai was at the side, his face scrunched in concentration. Logical had lined up his sites, and blasted away one away.
however, all was not going as well as this.
greebo, unable to avoid anything, was getting pelted with bullets everywhere (fortunatly they were caught in his flaps of lard and caused no harm ^_^). wolf nesca had just slashed away at one of the guns, but another one had taken a shot at him from behind. the hunter who thought 'we cleared the room with only loosing 1 life' was pinned against the wall with fire. his barrier had finally let up. holes were rapidly going through his armor as his body shaked vividly.

his body slumped to the floor as blood pooled around him. Zi'Zuku blasted one away with a foie, but as he did, a shot hit him hard in the shoulder.
luckily, the group was taking out the autimated defenses. however...
a paice of the ceiling split open. a large weapon of some kind with a wide barrel and a large wheel like laoding system lowered from the gap.

"Hey guys, whats that thing?"
*BOOM*
an explosive shell fired out at them. those near it dove aside as it incinerated the wall behind it.

Phantom was still standing there when the bullets fired, everyone missing by inches. The incen bullet rushed his face, only a breeze from nowhere to phantom, an experienced force, death was not an option.

The wall behind him vanished to dust, phantom jumped as another bullet went flying past him, exploding in the distance. Phantom shot a foie in it, It came out with the next bullet barely mssing kira.

"There is a control panel at the back" shouted kira, Phantom threw kira the ppc laptop, which was still in his pocket. Kira got hacking, such genious at such an age, his intellegence would be wasted.

The Blaster was about to soot again but the turret closed down. Kira threw the ppc back but phantom did not put it away. He plugged it into a hole coming from the wall. He hacked, and hacked until there was a strange noise, silent but hearable.

The place went dark, a turn for good or bad. "Ive took out the power so this dont happen again" said phantom winking at logical. Logical had taught him how to attack ages ago when he was small. Now a master hacker, there were no more challenges for him........!!!!!!!

"Anyway have the potion its up to you to decide" Phantom threw the bottle at him, which kira uckily caught.

Logical2u, with his artificial eyes, had no hinderence in the dark. He walked over to Phantom, one of the bright spots in the room.

He patted him on the back, and then nodded at the force he had trained.

A bright blue and red aura surrounded Phantom and engulfed the team. Now everyone had a personal flashlight. Shifta and Deband.

Phantom put away the specialized computer and took out his Summit Moon.

Logical2u took out his Durandul again and looked around. The guns were melted or destroyed, but several floors up there was still a power source... seperate from the mainframe!

Frith struggled to peer through the darkness at the faint glowing from the weapons and section ID badges of those around him. While he was not an experienced HUmar, he did wish to make a name for himself and had seen through Logical's obvious trick to get rid of the others.

Now very few of them remained, they seemed to know each other and all of them masters of their discipline. He clutched the gungir tighter in his hands. He just hoped that his sister Kyra was not worrying herself to death back on Pioneer 2.

The group started to move on and he made sure that he stayed close to them.

Kira was rather distracted, this flying force had come from nowhere and told him that this potion would heal his sister, but he also told him that the only way for all these people not to die, was for him to drink it himself./I hope i got the right picture here ^-^/

Now the power was out, and it was dark, not much different from the streets, but you couldn't always trust your eyes anyways. A deep rumbliing was heard, and then rapid booms succeded to follow.

"GET BACK!!!" Kira shouted, and most of them pulled back in time. Additional Heavy gates had fell in place, squashing and locking some away from the main group.
"Click, whirrrr, click , click, whirrrrr"

Kira's sharp ears caught mechanical movements, the power was out, but this place was bound to have energy reserves that are separate from the syystem, explaining why this 'Phantom' couldn't deactivate them.

The clicking and whirring of the machines grew nearer. And they where nearly blind upon the battle field. Kira started to wonder, was the phantom right, would they make it...? They had to, He clutched the potion given to him, they had to...

[Logical2u]

Suddenly the area was surrounded by the sound of the emergency 'Shutters' falling, effectively sealing them from enemies... however, it sealed them from the rest of the area.

*Clunk...clunk...clunk...*

Gilchics! More of them on the other wall! They were climbing.

Logical2u stepped back and shouted a profanity, the fired at the wall... another HUmar got the idea, then L.Soldier got the idea. A dozen bright explosions of heat showed up on the other side of the wall.

Then it was over. The shutters retracted and a feminine voice spoke over a speaker. "All enemies withdrawn. Please proceed. Warning: all lighting and defensive power online. If any dangerous action against the base is taken, defensive-type robots will defend. This has been your friendly Tower AI."

Zi'Zuku squinted as the lights went back on. just when he was feeling he could fight at his best, they turn the lights back on.
thus, to keep himself modivated, he pulled his cloak over him and fled to the shadows and rafters.
"to make my full contribution to the team, i shall procede from up here..."
"right, so while we're down ehre risking our hides, you hide up ther-"
the ramar was cut off as Zi'Zuku landed silently beside her, and brought his caduceus's wings to her throught.
"... right then..." she finished.
with that Zi'Zuku retreated to the vantage points and darkness.
Frith didnt know weather this guy was crazy or not, but chose quickly decided it wouldnt be a good idea to voice his opinion...

Wolf Nasca in the last two enemy encounters had just been laid back, never showing his true power, all to see what could Zi'Zuku and the child prodigy could do. But the death of a unlucky Ranger caught in a Megid Blast from a Del Lily had made him realize that he would have to start getting serious. Life was too precious for him to be lost, he could not let this happen again !!

The team now found themselves in complete darkness, facing multiple enemies. So far the Rangers were able to mow down the opposition with multiple and rapid, photon blasts. But Wolf Nasca knew that something more menacing would be soon be coming and at that moment he would have to show his true power.

the group went onward up the tower. they came to a room that was out in the open. it seemed like a large platform acting as a bridge. they looked up to see another part of the tower, so they couldnt nearly be at the top, and looked down to see the huge telltale fall...
they stepped into the room, Zi'Zuku jumping from the rafters to join them.
enemies warped in...
what seemed like hucasts with heavy shoulderplates and scicle like weapons entered the room. a lot of em...
they formed rows and lines and simountaneously (sp?) did a fw spinning tricks with their scicles, and ended by pointing them at the group. dark auras appeared from their scicles fervy intimedating like to everyone.
"says these things are 'ill gills'" bernie said punching in a few buttons on his wrist computer.

"i dont care what they are, lets get em!" some random hunter yelled.
"no wait!"
too late. a few hunters ran forard, only to be cut to peices.
Kira bit his lip in frustration. there were only 9 of the, now...
Zi'Zuku concentrated to use a grants attack. the front line of ill gills thrust forward their scicles, sending a wave of dark smoke soaring at the group. everyone who could jumped. over it or out of the way.
when they landed, greebo appeared to be frozen place, surrounded by the smoke as it absorbed into his skin.
Zi'Zuku was also in the same position as to cast grants. the smoke also enetered him.
greebo finally got out of his position as Zi'Zuku stood up. his head looking down while his face was hidden in shadow.
"Are... are you okay?" Wolf Nesca asked timidly.
Zi'Zuku looked up. his eye was now catlike instead of the normal look of a person. under his face mask, he smiled.
"oh $#!+" logical muttered.
"what!? whats wrong?" kira asked. (arai also a bit curiuos)
Zi'Zuku suddenly burst into an all out sprint at the ill gills' front line. 3 scythes came down, but he parried them with the shaft of his caduceus. with his current momentum at hand, he knocked them up high, as he spun around with his caduceus, cutting the three in half. when he was halfway around, he thrust his caduceus backwards impaling an attacking fourth with the spike like bottom of his weapon. the one he impaled grew red, and used as a mace when he completed his spin, knocking back another bunch. he was now facing the ill gills again where he catapulted the one on the bottom of his caduceus (now glowing red) into the group of ill gills. upon contact it exploded under the exteme heat, yet damaging another group of ill gills. if he didnt have a metal face mask stitched over his mouth, he would have been licking the purple blood of of his weapon's wings. but he couldnt, so he kept cutting down ill gills.
logial finished his statment with the best way he could describe it.
"the old Zi'Zuku's back..."

I'll probably be posting in a little bit, although I still only have a vague idea of what an Ill Gill looks like. The day I looked at those screenshots I was just checking to see what was happening here before going to first class.

It had taken several hours but now Kyra was making her way back to the Labs. She had met up with her old friend Ruby, a FOmarl too, who was 7 months pregnant. It had taken repeated cajolling but finally Ruby had given in and now Kyra had in her possession Ruby's Guild Card, Section ID badge and a spare robe sufficiently different from her own. Kyra figured that to them, one FOmarl pretty much looks like another anyway.

Fortunately, her hunch was right and she was allowed to join the second wave of Hunters ready to beam down at a moments notice. She failed to notice the figure that had stalked her so far, had removed their cloak and blended into the crowd of Hunters too.

I would, but he's more powerful than some a messed up combination of a HUcast and a FOnewm. Well, I guess that's not the best of analogies, but he's strong enough to use a sword with the skill of some of the best HU's(Hunter advantage) and better, seeing as he can back up his physical strength with telekinesis, allowing him to use a sword at least the speed of a saber. He isn't quite as fast as Arai, but he's more agile, and he doesn't need running speed because he can teleport up to four miles with virtually no effort. Needless to say, he has an even greater mental strength, as most all my characters do, and to top it all off, he isn't limited to the specific, classified elemental techniques. He can do just about anything he can think of, but only to a certain extent of power (i.e. using the an example once written by David Eddings, he can easily lift a large boulder, but he'd probably waste away all his stength and die trying to lift a mountain). Thus, though he comes very close, he is not quite a god.

"These machines, they defeat the beauty a battle can hold." He Brought his weapon around in a deadly blur of motion, the Ill Gill barely managed to keeps its head.

"You machines dont have any compassion, for the ones you have killed," Kira slashed out the ill gill's feet, then quickly pinned it down.

"Ans then our battles become irrelevant..."
Kira thrust his gladius deep into the ill gills chest, then leapt off.

"Soon these machines will be battling for us, and those battles will last forever, because no one dies"

Kira threw himself into the next row of them, their black armor, and the darkness that shrouded them did not phase him at all.

"When a human dies in battle, the others learn how foolish it is, for life is precious."

Three ill gills had sorrounded him, eache raised their weapons, ready to destroy him.

"But when a machine dies, nothing happens, and the battles continue..."

Kira threw himself to the ground and pushed himself backwards, sliding him backwards a few feet. Causing the ill gills the embed their weapons into the metal floor.

"When battle loses its honor"

His weapon came around in an ark, severing through the 'neck' area's of all three.

"It is just sensless destruction"

There was no way that he could win in his current state. He was cut up in a dozen places, his ribs started to ache again, and his vision swam momentarily.

Screams brought him back into reality, he saw two more fall, two more lifes lost to the lifeless. Lives cant just be rebuilt. Was their battle pointless? Kira was weak, he heard the screams, he saw the death, yet he crouched here, usless. He could barely move his arms, he looked around, even the Arai seemed hard pressed.

Kira held the potion in one hand, what could he do, this would supposedly save them, but his sister...

I'll be posting the next chapter sometime this week, -Z. I've been procrastinating because everytime I read through it it doesn't sound good, so I keep going back, rewriting it, deciding it doesn't sound good, igrnoring it for a week, rinse and repeat. Oh, and if you're at all curious, my evil guy is about as powerful as Cilis, for the moment at least, or maybe I should say week, or the next couple chapters, or something. *suspense and spoilers*
Sorry if my posts get short, but for now the story isn't really going anywhere, and I don't want to ruin any plot Mr.Rubbish might have had in mind. I can write pretty good fight scenes if I put effort into them, but this is just, 'Bob killed the Ill Gill, but another popped up. He slashed that one in two, but yet another popped up and stuck its scythe in his back.' Oh wait, we can't forget, 'Kira struggled with whether or not he ought to drink the potion that some mystic, glowing, angelic, mysterious force/salesman/football-playing king in space had given to him. Naturally, it was an epic choice of whether he wanted to let his sister die and himself live, or get killed and let his sister die. Such a horrible dilemma.'

You know, thing started to get wierd when phantom threw this potion thingy at Kira, and told him something I didn't completely understand and had to infer. And after that it seems rather hard to comply with what Phantom had said, because if he didn't drink the potion they would all die...

That kinda put him in the spotlight there... And it disregards the others in an unfair manner. We need something to happen to straighten this all out, like KIra dying and all the hunters miraculously beating the enemies and get the the data.

I am also unsure about what happens after the quest is beaten, is it good bye,.... I'm confused now *.*

Don't worry. In my next post, I'll have Kira 'accidentally' drop the potion while he's fighting an Ill Gill. I can even make it all dramatic and have the thing slice off his hand and then say "Kira, I am your father." Then Kira will yell "NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" and my post will end. It would ruin Neoluke's fun, but we're in a half-imaginary rivalry/grudge anyway, so there's no problem with that.
When I said I'll kill Greebo, I meant I'll have an I'll Gill paralize him and then kill him, not that Arai would kill him. That way, no one could be mad at Arai, though MQuantum might be get a little upset with me.

arai had just kicked a ill gill of of him, before blasting it with a foie. there was a group of ill gills in front of him, when they suddenly incenerated in a fiery explotion. he looked to see Zi'Zuku in his crazy 'old self' state just jump a jellened ill gill as his shifta'd arm put it in a headlock and decapitaded it (dang only lvl 29 techs while everyone elses is lvl 30...). he cast a gifoie, then spun around quicly casting simple foies zondes bartas gizondes and rafoies everywhere.
'this wasnt the way he was like before...' arai.
'maybe i better take a peek inside his head'
arai concentrated, and suddenly his eyes widened, having to flee from Zi'Zuku's mind once inside it. he tried again...
everything was going so fast. it seemed Zi'Zuku himself didnt have enough time to think. however, the general message was clear...
sadness.angst.loneliness.hurt.harm.injur.impare.im pale.destroy.obliterate.incinerate.anihilate.kill. . . Kill kIll kiLl kilLkIlLKiLlKILLKILLKILL!!!

that thought, though only a flash seemed to trouble arai. it was not the normal way Zi'Zuku had thought, yet he put these feelings off so long that they finally returned to him in a mountain's worth.
"keep it up guys! they're weakening!" bernie shouted out.
he returned to his own mind to find a HUmar fight beside him.
the humar swung his sword horizontally only to have it parried by an ill gill. he got surrounded. they raised their weapons.Zi'Zuku turned and cast a concentrated gizonde at the group. electricity purged from ill gill to ill gill to ill gill, and to every ill gill in the area of them. but... it also hit the humar...
"What are you doing!?
*FFFTTTTZZZTZTZFFFTTTZZFFZTZTZTZFZFZTZFZTZFZZZTTZZ !*
"stop it! Stop the gizonde! STOP!"
but Zi'Zuku did not stop.

Zi'Zuku finally stopped. the completely fried ill gills fell to the floor simountaniously, the smoking humar in the center of them.
kira stared at Zi'Zuku. he didnt even stop to mourn for the humar he had just killed, he just went on fighting as if it were no big deal.
"You... you killed him... WHY DID YOU KILL HIM WHEN YOU HAD THE CHANCE NOT TO!?"
"Talk is unefficiant-"
"SHUT UP! REVERSER HIM NOW!!!!'
"The death of a doomed one doesnt matter... reverser would be a waste on a liability"
Kira could not take in these words. they went against everything he stood for. he was breaking the rules of combat and didnt care.
"life is precious fool-"
"Not for one who has died again and again. I die everyday. Don't you see? life doesnt matter. the only thing we live for is to die and die again... that, or destroy our attackers."
Zi'Zuku had just cast megid on a ill gill, an apparent overkill.
"The death of a doomed one doesnt matter..."
Kira stood there, unable to express his anger and frustration.
"they're almost done guys! keep it up!" bernie noted.
Zi'Zuku looked Kira streight in the eyes.
"Now that you understand this, i will leave you for now..."
with that, he dissappeared into the shadows.

Arai had heard and seen this all.
'Dont you see Zi'Zuku? at your old self, your the doomed one' he thought, and looked at the greace spot the humar once was. he coulnt let ZI'Zuku continue these things. if he should kill Zi'Zuku, he would have no regrets.

Greebo watched as the hunters who had been with them for nearly the entire time fall like leaves in the wind... Maybe I can write a haiku about that... Greebo whipped out his paper and began working. "Now, is it five syllables and then seven and another five? Or seven, five, seven?"

"Greebo, it's 5, 7, 5!" Logical yelled as he tried to aim his weapon at a low flying ill gill.

"Great we'll get it published if we live!" Bernie shot another monster in the foot, evectivly making it hop around madly.

What would happen if I tried to hug one of those, huh?
He launched himself forward and clasped a pretty ill gill to his chest and squeezed. The thing cried out in disgust, at being harassed in such a way, but between the squishy lard and the house sized arms, in had no choice.

Seconds later, greebo was licking his purply gooed fingers. "Mmmm... grape jelly."

Kira glared at him and mutter about having no shame, and senseless death. Greebo glarec at him, wondering if the little guy was going to share iny of that glowing drink.

It looked a little like sparkly without the bubbly, and Greebo was very thirsty...

Finally! I've been waiting for this since we started. Someone misconcieved my character. Arai would feel about as bad about killing someone as Zi'Zuku, although he wouldn't take pleasure in killing either. But, unlike Kira, he doesn't particularly care about 'senseless death and destruction'. He's gotten farely used to the idea, seeing as he has already died in both a literal and emotional sense, though the emotional death came first when his wife died. That's it. I'm done. I'm not writing a biography, and I'm not going to explain how he was brought back to life. All I will say is that he died (physically) in the Dark Falz/Pioneer 1 explosion, so his body wasn't around for anyone to cast reverser on.

As the carnage went on, Wolf Nasca began to wonder if all this bloodshed was worth finding a pupil, a chosen one to pass on the secret.
"So many lives lost !!" he yelled as he slashed an Ill Gill with punishing power.
"Gi,gi,gi...." were the mechanical creature's last words.
"You fiends !!" Nasca was going berserk as he sliced in half another Ill Gill.
"ARGH" Yelled Wolf Nasca in agony as a Ill Gill managed to sneak in a slash in his rib area. However Nasca was not yelling becuase of the pain. He just had witnessed Zi'Zuku dreadful actions.
"This madness must stop, NOW !! Nasca's anger had finally peak, the time had come for him to be serious. He threw away the photon sword he was previously using and slowly began to draw a long, slender katana he had crafted with much love and care. The katana once fully drawn began to glow in what appered to be a intense,white glow.
"Evil will be destroyed" Wolf Nasca slowly began to close his eyes and began to concentrate all his power in the blade in his hands.
"BEGONE !!" With this said, Nasca waved his katana around and made three quick slashes. The katana started emitting a powerful wave like force that made all the Ill Gill's in his immediate area fall to pieces.
"Only a few more to go" Nasca said with a smile
"I will try not to abuse you too much"

Obviously these hunters has been in so many battles, seen so many deaths, that it ceases to affect them. It was sad that a person could just walk away from a death... Then there was the man that had lost his face plate. If he didn't get the rest of them killed, then he himself might have to get some sense into him.

Now staring at the liquid, this must be a lie, if I cant escape this place, she'll die anyways.

Kira broke the container on the ground, and sped off as the liquid seeped into the cracks in the floor. The man who had been previously had a face mask was before him. The struggle of keeping on the edge of his sanity, and not finding himself in a rage such as his was great. The mad Fonewm turned to Kira before he could make it, he launched a foie ball that caught his left arm. The fire managed to only sear off the armor and the costume around that area.

He lounged at the fool, bringing his gladius around. The Fonewm just smiled in a crazy way, and caught him. This kid was attacking him, obviously an enemy.

Bernie turned at the sound of Kira's voice, it had been in the form of a pained shout. He witnessed Kira's body flying back, burnt off the edge of the railing and to the bottom of the tower...

He pointed a finger at Zi'Zuku (sorry bud).

He was even more dismayed when the little boy blew up and flew off the edge... Least that's what it looked like...

All of a sudden, everyone ran over there to beat him up, for some reason. But greebo didn't forget about the last ill gill.

it squeeked in protest, But Greebo was preoccupied with running it over the the enraged Force. "Here, hug this Z, you'll feel better!"

He threw the ill gill at Zi, and was answered with a vicious Gizonde. "I was sure that was going to work..."

As Kira was still falling off the edge, Logical2u readjusted his gun to face towards the menacing Zi'zuku ahead of him.

The FOnewm dodged the blasts and turned towards the offending RAmar after burning a IllGil to a crisp with GiZonde.

"foolish... human! I... will... CRUSH YOU!"

Logical2u scrabbled up from his kneeling pose and placed the gun sights on Zi'Zukus forehead.

"Like h***"

*BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAMBLAMBLAMwhirr...whirrr...*

The gun overheated and still Zi managed to dodge them somehow. He picked up Logical2u with the side of his Caedacus and lifted him about 2 feet off the ground. Impressive, seeing how Logical2u stood at about 6 foot 2 or so.

"Do you surrender to my power now?"

"*Gasp* like *gasp* freakin *gasp*h***"

a gash of purplish-red appeared on Zi'Zuku's right arm as L.Soldier's blade struck him. The FOnewm turned and growled, dropping the RAmar.

This caused all three to turn...

the unhindered FOnewm stared back at them, daring them to come fourth. Zi'Zuku glanced over the edge of the platform at the abyys bellow.
"You fools don't look like you've had enough to face me yet." he said in his forlorn whisper of a voice.
"I leave you for now. See you all by the top. RAFOIE!"
The section leading back down the tower exploded, as the platform rumbled.
Zi'Zuku played one of his overused tactics, and ryukered to some location (i cant tell u guys http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif).
the platform began to shake as the back of it had no support.
"Everyone to the other side!"
the group jumped to the other supported half of the platform as the one they were just on crumbled and fell.
everyone made it safe to the other side... but what happened to Kira who fell to the abyys bellow them...

BTW you guys may think his face mask covers his whole face. well, just to clarify that: he has a stitched in metal 'face mask' that only covers the lower part of his head (cheeks, mouth, lower nose/nostrels, chin). think of it just bellow the ear line. just a clarification ^_^

Frith clutched his mouth. He had been embarassed by the way Logical had man-handled him but there was really nothing he could do. he retrieved his weapon and followed behind silently.

Bernie was becoming more and more concerned. What had he gotten himself into? He suspected that the Lab officials had witheld information from him and he hated when that happened. Still he had to be proffesional about the whole thing.

He checked his automap and saw that they had nearly reached the top. He knew what had happened inside the other two towers so they should proceed carefully...

He looked up to see logical striding purposfully towards the exit to the next segment.

"Wait up!"

Yeah but it was inevitable with the way things where going.

1. Kira HATES sensless destruction and death

2. Phantom showed up with this strange contradicting potion of his...

3. Then Zi'zuku went mad and started senslessly killing...

4. Kira's confused about the potion, and then finally he snaps when Zi kills a hunter.

5. And since he is only 9, even though talented, he couldn't be expected to fight off Zi'zuku

6. Also since he is nine, his body and mental state had already gone through a lot before they had even reached to tower, the events inside nearly killed him from the stress anyways.

It kinda was unfair the way things where turning out, being that Phantom put him in the spotlight, so I evened thing out by having him die.

Yay! Another misconception! Why do I get happy about these things? Eh, just to be picky and annoying, I'm going to point out that it isn't very likely Arai do would so much as to point at someone unless they attacked him first, even under the then-current circumstances (a maniac killing off his teammates, if you're too dense to figure that out). If you haven't yet figured out the reason for my posting this, I mean to say that Arai wouldn't attack Zi'Zuku head on, despite Bernie's command, unless he fealt particularly threatened. For the moment, I'll pretend he was standing unnoticed in a corner or something, maybe casting an occasional Gizonde.

Eh, did Zi'Zuku get all Falzy again, or is he just more powerful than nearly everyone else here?

I can make the story all anticlimactic and revive Kira, if you want, Surankai, but that wouldn't be any fun.

-Z, how does one escape the notice of a man with a pair of ears that can hear through walls and across miles, the silent speech of he who does not speak? Hmm, if I took some more time to write that, it would actually sound pretty good.
Er, what I mean to say is that if Arai can hear Zi'Zuku's thoughts from halfway around the world, how can Zi'Zuku possibly 'ryuker to some unknown location'? And why is he going to the top of the tower? As of yet there's nothing up there but the end of the quest and probably a computer or ten from which the Hunters are supposed to retrieve data. Then we'll probably go to find a certain evil being in Seabed who thinks his shoes are too big.

I was going to post by having Arai jump down from somewhere and knocking Zi'Zuku's brains out with an unactivated Double Saber, but before I even got to a computer Zi'Zuku went and disappeared. Maybe I should find and/or revive Kira. That, or I could bring Kadou into the story. Unfortunetly, though, that would probably bring about the death of Zi'Zuku if he doesn't return to his old, or new, or, something self. Not to mention, Kadou is only slightly less powerful than my godlike evil dude. Though not as [physically] strong, he has an infinitely greater speed and agility.

Well there's Old English, which sounds more like German than Modern English (self-explanitory). Then there's Middle English, with all its thees, thous, and forasmuches. In most cases, the term 'archaic' refers to words in any given language that have become obsolete, or are no longer in use. What I meant though, is Middle English. I've actually read a little Shakespeare (sp?) in a class I had last year, but the plot bored me to tears. I forgot what it was called, so don't bother asking. Chaucer would probably be good, but I don't feel like going out and buying any of his works at the moment. In all honesty, I've been looking at some areas of David and Leigh Eddings' book, "The Redemption of Althalus." If you've read it, you'll probably know which parts I'm talking about.

After the carnage that had involved the lost of the amazing child, and the corruption of Zi'Zuku. Wolf Nasca was at a loss, he was losing hope. He began to wonder if he would ever find a suitable candidate to pass on the secret.
"So much loss of life, for what ?" Nasca said to himself in a low, sad voice, as the team of Hunters went on climbing to the top.
"This was all for nothing, but I cant give up now !!"
Too many years had pass, and he could still not find a proper pupil to pass on the secret. What could he do, his time was slowly running out, the other hunters would not wait for him, they would leave him behind, he had to make a choice.
"I have no other choise !"
"I must save Zi'Zuku from himself and his inner demons !!"
" YOU HEAR ME ZI'ZUKU !?, I WILL SAVE YOU !!" Nasca yelled at the top of his lungs,in hopes that Zi'Zuku would hear him.
"You cant hide from me Zi'Zuku, I know where you are"
Nasca then slowly began to dissapear. He knew what he had to do. He had to confront Zi'Zuku and help him destroy his inner demons.
"I just hope that the other can manage to survive the ordeals ahead of them"
Nasca then reappeared in another location, he was high above in the cliffs, on top of a huge boulder was Zi'Zuku talking to himself or rather to his inner demons.
"Zi'Zuku !!"
"!?!?!?" Zi'Zuku looked at Nasca, a bit of surprise could be seen in his face.
"Zi'Zuku, I have come to help you"
"To kIlL !?" said Zi in a strange voice.
"No, I have come to help you defeat your inner demons"
"You cant help me, you could die in the process" said Zi with sadness in his voice. His good side.
"I will, even if it means..."
"ARGHH !!!" Zi's evil side was taking control

"Zi'Zuku you must fight it, you must regain control over yourself !!"

Zi'Zuku shrugged at the strange demand. ussually he had been the one to attack, without demand... this means...
"I think i have a better idea."
Zi'Zuku concentrated on the ground behind nesca, his a rock jutting from the abyss below, and nesca's back.
"I think i'll let you come at me! Gizonde!"
the electrical energy rushed towards nesca. however, it fell short, jumped to a the rock, and shot at him from behind.
Nesca ran forward to avoid the gizonde striking him down and-
"Rafoie!"
Nesca jumped high into the air as the ground below him exploded.
He landed and looked up to find a caduceus slamming down.
Nesca put his sword up horizontally to parry, and low kicked at Zi'Zuku's legs. Zi'Zuku did a inverted backflip over Nesca. when he was on top he made an arching downward slash which nesca hit to the side, and took a slash at Zi'Zuku. Zi'Zuku landed facing nesca. when the slash came, he put his caduceus horizontally, and thrust it upwards using the shaft to knock nesca's weapon upwards, and brought the spiked bottom around in a partisan like swing. nesca arched his back backwards, and forced his sword into the ground. he completed the backflip over his sword, kicking Zi'Zuku in the jaw. Nesca got up to realize and remember that the jaw breaking kick he had just performed did little to Zi'Zuku as he had a plate of metal in his face >_<.
"Is that all youve got Zi?"
"Just getting started."
Zi'Zuku, for some strange reason, held the caduceus horizontally by both end of the shaft... behind his back!?
Zi'Zuku rushed leaned forward and ran at Nesca.
"You have gotten careless Zi!"
Nesca made a downward slash at Zi'Zuku. however... out of the weapon's reach Zi'Zuku threw his legs forward, high into the air. He was doing sort of a 'running back flip'. Nesca could see no reason in Zi'Zuku's strategy until it happened.
When Zi'Zuku had reached the point of the flip where hw was over nesca, the shaft held behind him caught nesca in the neck, cutting him off of air, bringing him around in the flip with Zi'Zuku, still held by his neck, and slammed into the ground, losing grip of his weapon, as Zi'Zuku landed safely.
In the time that he was trying to regain his breath on the ground, Zi'Zuku had already come forward, and slammed down his caduceus into nescas left shoulder. the crecent moon shape the upward wing arch made in Zi'Zuku's ceducues held down Nesca's shoulder as the red jewel was thrust into it. it felt like being shot in the arm, and not being able to wrigle it back in pain. but this wasnt the poin of Zi'Zuku's attack. if it were to get rid of the arm, he would have slashed it off. also, why did he chose to attack the left shoulder instead of the right? if he did, he wouldnt be able to fight anymore.he was planning something.
The red jewel atop the caduceus (also inside nesca's shoulder) grew red. nesca felt his body growing hot, and his vision blurring.
wiat a second
he now rememebered all the enemies Zi'Zuku had defeated in this matter. how they grew red and looked as if they were going to melt, only to have Zi'Zuku shoot them off with a foie, and upon contact the preasue making them explode.
what Zi'Zuku did then was happening to him now. it is said that the red jewel atop the ceduceus can emit strong waves of heat or flame. what Zi'Zuku did was melt/overheat the enemy from the inside until it was at the point of it exploding under the preasure. then just for good measure blasted it off with a foie to its doom. Zi'Zuku's jewel was inside his blood stream. he had chose the left shoulder because it was closest to the heart!
nescas mind was racing as his blood was boiling and bubbling. he was sweating profusely and his vision was going faint.
if i can just get it out... or... him... off...
nesca's vision was now horrible, but he mustered all his strength and made a kick for Zi'Zuku's stomach anyway. it was his only hope.
the sweat rate was dropping. his blood was cooling. his vision was clearing. his vision was better and he made out the immage of Zi'Zuku on the ground, wide eyed with tiny pupils... grabbing his crotch in agony.
Nesca got up. he found his weapon and faced Zi'Zuku, who finally got up his caduceus ready. A bolt of thunder struck hard above gal da val's cliffs...

"You cant destroy me Zi'Zuku, no one can" said Nasca with a smile in his face. Thunder continued to stike in the background
"Shut up !!, you just got lucky" Said Zi with anger in his voice.
"Get ready Zi'Zuku, I wont be holding holding back"
"You got to be kiding,thats my line !!"
"HHaaaaaaa" screamed Nasca as he charged foward at Zi'Zuku.
"Its your funeral, fool" Zi'Zuku quickly got ready to guard Nasca's dash with his caduceus only to be surprised with a tackle that sent Zi'Zuku flying against a giant boulder. The blow had left Zi pinned down.
"You had enough, Zi?"
"Not yet, you should had kill me when you had the chance. FOIE !!" Zi then quickly pulled a hand free and fired a foie blast wich Nasca deflected with his katana giving enough time for Zi to free himself.
"Try to deflect this. GIZONDE !!" the electrical energy rushed towards Nasca at amazing speed,Nasca jumped high above,into the air, as the ground below him sizzled from the electricity, he quickly prepared his blade to make a powerful downward stike at Zi'Zuku. Zi quickly got ready to counter Nasca move with a surprise.
"Gifoie Twin Dragons, seak your prey !!"
The gifoie had gained the apperence of two long Dragons that began moving foward at Nasca at blinding speed, ready to burn him to a crisp and consume his ashes.
"Thats not going to cut it Zi"
Nasca quickly did a wave attack with his katana and the dragons dissapeared in thin air.
"Catch this" said Nasca as he threw his blade at a speed to great for Zi to completly dodge.
"UGH" Zi was able to avoid being hit in any vital araeas, but could not avoid being pierced by the incoming katana in his right leg. Nasca landed in a nearby boulder.
"Give up Zi, I dont want to kill you !!"
"HA,HA,HA,HA,HA,HA."
"?????"
"You just lost this battle. You cant fight me without your weapon."
"I have not lost my weapon" Nasca made a strange signal.
"ARGGH" Zi yelled in pain as the sword embeded in his leg began moving by itself and returned to Nasca's hands.
"You were saying, Zi ?"
"You...." Zi was furious now. What move could he possibly do now, that would give him the advantage ?
"Its your move now, Zi'Zuku" Nasca said with a smile in his face knowing that he had gained the upper hand.

No, it's my turn. Before I post, though, I'd like to know how Nasca found out where Zi'Zuku was. After all, it was an 'unknown' location that Zi'Zuku disappeared to.

The party of Hunters continued toward the top of the tower (I think. Or did Zi'Zuku destroy the only way up?). Maybe they didn't continue toward the top, but rather stood idly trying to think up some way to complete the mission. Many of them were sullen about the death of Kira and Zi'Zuku's departure, but none of them said anything. At least, not until Arai made a sudden, unexpected announcement, "The assassin is fighting the self-righteous HUmar." His tone was nuetral, and the manner in which he spoke was with curt vaguenss, as though he were thinking about something else when he said it.

"What? You know where they are?" some random hunter asked apprehensively.

"Yes."

"Where?"

"South."

The Hunter blinked, "South?" he said in a dumbstruck tone, "I meant somewhere specific!" He blinked again, then asked, "How do you know? Did you see an explosion through a window or something?"

"I'd prefer you didn't know, and I think you would too," Arai said. "You might find it somewhat disquieting."

The hunter grunted and said no more. The conversation coninued, however, with an inquirey from Bernie, "Who's winning?"

There was an awkward pause, before Arai stated, still using a bland tone of voice, "The assassin."

Zi'Zuku got up, despite his leg screaming at him that he was in pain. but he did not care. Under his face mask he smiled.
"its funny. i know on all curcimstances i should never have fought in the first place. i shouldnt be fighting people, yet i do. even now. Resta! (the one level 30 tech i have ^_^)"
Zi'Zuku mounted the caduceus onto his back"if you will not surrender, then i will have to dicipline you some more!"
Nesca charged at Zi'Zuku, his sword glimmered. Zi'Zuku flicked his wrist and a deck of cards snapped up into he hand from his sleeve. he immediatly threw one at nesca.
nesca managed to dodge the first one, but the second one hit him dead on. the card seemed to be stuck to him, and all of a sudden nesca dropped to his knees. he was experiencing he had never felt before. it felt like his very soul was being sucked out of him
he could feel his TP and MST draining. he looked at the card that just hit him. it had a strange seal on it: an inclination. the symbol etched itself into where it had just hit him, and the card fell to the floor, and back to Zi'Zuku. a blue mist shot out of it, and absorbed into Zi'Zuku. Nesca got up to his feet again, and grabbed his weapon. Zi'Zuku was shuffling the deck up with one hand.
"i figured you wernt good enough to deserve the power of my trump card. but speaking of cards, i thought i'd use these. neat little affect they have, wont you agree?"
His trump card? whats he hiding from me? Nesca thought.
Nesca would have to play this by ear. Zi'Zuku raised his hands to the sky.
"ZONDE,ZONDE,ZONDE,ZONDE,ZONDE,ZONDE,ZONDE.."
of corse, without a weapon in hand, a FOnewm could cast techniques extremely fast. the zondes (a lvl 29 tech again...) came down rushing at nesca. it seemed like a lighting storm to him. he ran quickly at Zi'Zuku as this was the only direction he could without being zapped. he would be alright though. he could feel Zi'Zuku's TP bar growing faint from the ill gill battle as well as this one. he was so close...
Zi'Zuku pulled out a card.
I can dodge a card! one cad wont be hard to! nesca thought
Nesca went to swipe at Zi'Zuku.
OH ****!
With a quick flick of his fingers, he reveraled to really be holding 3 cards as another 2 formned behind it. the inclination inbeded cards hit nesca. he felt like he was going to throw up. thisfelt much worse than before. he could feel Zi'Zuku's TP and MST growing as his was depleting. soon he wouldnt be able to cast a simple resta...
Zi'Zuku got some distance between the two.
"DEBAND! JELLEN!"
Nesca was feeling weak as Zi'Zuku's skin was growing stone hard.
"SHIFTA! ZALURE!"
Zi'Zuku's physical strength grew as his body felt it neglected rest and sleep for ages, then just sprinted 10 miles up hill.
Zi'Zuku was now standing right over nesca, he kicked the sword to the side. it neared the edge of the cliff...
"Oh, we can get on with our battle. I just want to play one last game" Zi'Zuku snickered.
Nesca looked up

Every red inclination bearing card sprung out of Zi'Zuku's sleeves and attatched to nesca, covering his entire body. Even nesca's fluids he kept in his pack were being drained into Zi'Zuku. this was not good.
soon the cards returned to their master's sleeves, leaving Nesca as good as an android. Nesca snapped out it. he was better than this. he pushed himself back and up with his hands and did a line of backflips all the way to his sword. he picked it up to find Zi'Zuku concentrating. he fired a megid at the ground.
"Power of darkness engulf the light.
Power of darkness give me might.
Give me power that all shall know.
Give me power to... to..."
'DONT SAY IT!' one side of Zi'Zuku's mind was screaming at him with all it's might.
'Do IT he HAtEs YoU. hE WanTS tO KiLl YoU...'
Zi'Zuku scrunched his eyes. Nesca only watched as Zi'Zuku froze in his own spell.
"Give...me...power...to..."
Zi'Zuku looked at Nesca with forlorn eyes filled with regret and depleted of hope.

the magid seemed to disperse itself everywhere. darkness was brooding around them. a pitch of darkness you couldnt see your finger in front of your eyes. it made no difference than with your eyes closed.
"your working in my surrroundings now" a whisper came from the darkness.

The he reappeared, about two feet away, still holding his eyes shut tightly. "NASCA, I'M HERE TO HELP YOU!" Then again, maybe he wasn't so unpredictable.

Logical(Where are you, anyways?) showed his overwhelming military strenght and smacked Greebo senseless. "Come on, We're going to the top, you big bucket of gresy lard."

The group moved on through the tower, they could not afford to pursue those that would leave to 'unknown locations'.

The various encounters had left their number depleted, they now numbered around 8 hunters though Bernie could not seem to count those present with any accuracy. At least resistance became lighter the further up they proceeded.

Our band of merry men (there don't seem to be any females!) finally reached the lift transporter that would beam them into the tower's monitor room.

Though they were wearied, Bernie urged them on.

"Simple, we get in, upload the data to the ship and get out."

Logical became suspicious. "Why upload the data? Why not bring it back on a disk?"

"Hey, we're paid to do the job, not ask questions."

Logical shrugged, but made sure that he would be one of the last to go through.

A flash of light and they were there. A spacious circular room devoid of apparent exits, a computer terminal at one end and A GIGANTIC construct dominating the far end.

Looking like the ugly love child of an Epsilon and Vol Opt, the massive crab-like robot activated and purposefully stomped towards them.

A panel flipped open on the top and a small cannon popped up and pointed towards the group. A noise followed like a vacuum-cleaner in reverse and shafts of lights appeared in all directions to centre on Greedo.

The grants attack struct him deep inside. He clutched his formidable stomach and fell backwards on to his backside. The impact enough to create a minor tremor.

"Indigestion..." Greedo moaned.

"Careful everyone! We have no idea what that thing is armed with..."

Amist the great darkness the battle between Wolf Nasca and Zi'Zuku continued...
"You are working in my sorroundings now" a whisper came from the darkness, Zi was fighting in his ideal inverioment now.
"......."
"Whats wrong Nasca ? You scared,or are you fealing too lost and weak to do a thing?" Zi'Zuku was obiously enjoying his little game.
"......."
"No words, eh ?"
"You have left me no choise Zi" said Nasca, then as weak as he was from the draining cards, made the signal to his katana to come to him. The katana swiftly returned to its master's tired hands.
"I need your help once again, old friend." the katana started to glow as if to agree with its masters wishes.
"Oh spirits of light and nature, please help me to vanquish this darkness that sorrounds us all. Bring forth your light !!!"
The katana then began to glow wildly, emmiting a pure,white light that began penetrating and dissapating the darkness. Once the deep darkness was gone another surprise was revealed to Zi'Zuku, the wounds he had inflicted upon Nasca had dissapeared !!
"No more games Zi, its time you taste a bit of my true power."
"But....how did you..."
"I told you once Zi, you cant kill me, no one can."
"alrighty then, all I have to do is drain your power once more."
"Give me your best shot" said Nasca with his usual smile in his face and plenty of confidence.
"Why you..." Zi threw a couple of cards at Nasca.
"The same trick wont work twice with me Zi !! YYYYAAA" Nasca made three quick slashes. It looked as if Nasca was cutting just plain air, but then the wind took the form of his blade and cut through the cards as if nothing, the move also caught Zi completly by surprise, giving him three deep gashes in his arms and legs.
"Nature is a servant and I am its master" Nasca quickly followed this move sticking his katana in the gound, causing rock spikes to emerge from the ground heading towards Zi's direction. Zi quickly jumped high into the air, he had barely avoid that attack.
"You are good, but I am...ugh !!" Nasca had jumped before Zi and swiftly made a vertical slash at Zi's back. Zi landed with a crash in the ground, bleeding profusely from the deap wound in his back, a wound soo deep that even with Zi"s high level Resta it would still leave a scar upon him.
"Ugh, Im...still...alive !?"
"Zi, if you wish to live you must fight your inner demons !!" yelled Nasca as he landed atop a giant boulder.
"Fight...my...inner demons !?"

As the crap think scuttled on its four multicolored legs, each in a different color (Red,Blue,Yellow, and Black), a cannon like the one on the first floor opened from the top. Suddenly all the legs turned red and a huge blast of Foie launched towards the group. As they dodged, the small miniguns opened on the sides and sprayed the area with bullets.

"THIS WAS NEVER IN THE AD!" Logical screamed as he ducked and rolled his way to a small hole in the wall behind a monitor.

Bernie typed a mail.

Zi'Zuku rose to his feet. he cast deband and resta. though not competly healing the wound, it was a start. he raised his face. his pupil was a slit. his face was stern. he seemed to be a completly different person as of now. regardless of the pain in his back, he got to his feet, no weapon equipped.
"back for more eh?" nasca snorted.
Zi'Zuku did not reply, yet threw his claok over his shoulder, pivoted his back foot into the ground, and leaned forward.
"fight them Zi'Zuku!... Zi'Zuku? ANSWER ME!!!"
"talk is expensive. it gives away your position and diverts your concentration. i dont talk."
Zi'Zuku spoke these words in a whisper. the coarse tone of a doomed man devoid of all happiness. the voice of an assassin.
Zi'Zuku instantly broke into a sprint, immediatly reaching a high speed. with his body leaned forward he cut through the wind, and made him a mall target to hit. a purplish -black flame encased his right hand.
"have you learned nothing fool?" nesca said motioning to his darkness banishing katana. Zi'Zuku did not reply. with the pads he put at the bottom of his large shoes, he moved silently, yet still at a great speed.
nasca brought forth his katana. Zi'Zuku brought up his hand. the power of light and darkness clashed, holding the other at bay. Nasca put his other hand on the hilt of his sword to assist his right, and the blade began to inch through the darkness towards Zi'Zuku's hand. however Zi'Zuku began to mutter something.
"Power of darkness engulf the light.
Power of darkness five me might.
Give me might that all shall know.
Give me power to kill my foe."
the megid seemed to push back at the katana, now overwhelming the light. Nasca turned his katana to the flat, blunt side, and used his other hand to push down from the blade.
"Power of darkness engulf the light.
power of darkness give me might.
give me power that all shall know.
give me power to kill me foe"
Nasca was being pushed back in the dirt as Zi'Zuku stepped forward. the swords glow was weakening.
"POWER OF DARKNESS ENGULF THE LIGHT!
POWER OF DARKNESS GIVE ME MIGHT!
GIVE ME POWER THAT ALL SHALL KNOW!
GIVE ME POWER TO KILL MY FOE!!!"
the katana flew through the air, and embeded itself into one of the boulders.
time seemed to pause as the katana flew out of Nasca's hands, leving him open to Zi'Zuku's attacks. Zi'Zuku jumped and did a spinning kick, knocking nasca into the air a few inches. Zi'Zuku landed before nasca, and let loose a storm of foies. Nasca was pushed into a boulder on the other side of the mountain/plateu/cliff they were on. Zi'Zuku continued the firestorm, pinning nasca down. he let the foies lose for a good 30 seconds before raising his hands, and cast a rafoie on the boulder, causing it to crumble.
Nasca quicly arose from the rubble, his shirt and torso armor gone and multiple burn marks on his cheast. he saw Zi'Zuku rushing forward, caduceus drawn. he apparently didnt want to let up the opportunity of him under the rubble.
Nasca made his sword shoot forward at Zi'Zuku. as he easily dodged, nasca nticed something. Zi'Zuku's cloak. instead of its normal blackness, it was maroon. it was dripping with red liquid. the slice he made in Zi'Zuku's back. it was still bleeding. Zi'Zuku was still fighting his inner demons, but he was slowly losing.
nasca made his sword make another swipe at Zi'Zuku, but he dodged that one too. Zi'Zuku was closing in on him. nasca made one last slice at Zi'Zuku before Zi grabbed the katana by the hilt.
"fool"
a the light from the katana returned and swirled around Zi'Zuku. the rays of light quickly turned to arrows, all shooting into Zi. Zi'Zuku scrunched his face in pain, but slowly slammed the katana so hard into the ground that the only part sticking out of it was the hilt. it wiggled in the ground trying to get free. Zi'Zuku faced nasca.
"you claim you are not able to be beaten however..."
A bolt of lightning struck high in the sky.
"I cannot be defeated. all my fights will either end in victory, or stalemate."
"are you suggesting that you either win, or both you and your competitor die?"
"that is correct. but i have spoken too much."
Zi'Zuku put awayn his ceduceus and rushed forward. Nasca reared back his fist when Zi'Zuku put hisforward and cast gibarta at point blank range. the snowstorm oushed nasca back, and he was frozen to a protruding peaice of rubble. Zi'Zuku was face to face with nasca. his caduceus made a long metalic noise as it was removed from the his back. Zi'Zuku raised it high into the air.
a bolt of lightning struck hard, illuminating the entire background. the wing of the caduceus came down.

"ugh-!"
the wing stopped inches away from nasca's face. Zi'Zuku looked down to find a blade protruding from the left side of his stomach. it wrigled a little, and shot through to the other side, into it's master's frozen hand. had the motion of the caduceus coming down not have had the back of it knock the katana a bit off corse, Zi'Zuku's fital organs would have been hit. Zi'Zuku stumbled backwards a bit (still standing) off the sword as Nasca broke free of his icey prison. blood was pooling out from his wound
the voiced in Zi'Zuku's head returned.
"HE IS GOING TO KILL YOU! YOU ARE IN NO PHYSICAL CODITION TO FIGHT ON! USE YOUR TRUMP CARD! USE THE TP KAMIKAZE, AND BLOW HIM TO ****!!!"
'dont do it. as of now, you might live if you get medical attention. if you use the TP kamikaze, the strain will kill the both of you.'
"ALL YOUR FIGHTS END IN EITHER A VICTORY OR A STALEMATE. KILL HIM!!! USE THE TP KAMIKAZE!!! WONT YOU BE SENSIBLE AND USE IT!?"

Zi'Zuku looked at nasca. his eyes were back to the round newman eyes he had. by far, the biggest blast of thunder yet struck in the background.
"no."
Zi'Zuku's eyes rolled to the back of his head, and he fell down uncontious.

I think I might just take a turn at corny mysticism, but a bit later in the story now that I missed my chance to interrupt the fight. That move near the beginning of -Z's post reminded me of the reason Arai is still alive (I doubt this is necessary, but I'll just remind you all that Arai died in the P1 explosion), and from that which revived him he can retrieve information (this is to say, methods on how to perform certain acts with the use of his mind. i.e. techniques, but not those that are so common, which again is to say, not any of those that currently exist in the game), power, and if absolutely necessary, assistance (though about the only help he might recieve is being brought back to life after dying again). Oh, and yes. That which revived him from death is a conscious being, and I'm intentionally concealing its gender with the words 'that' and 'it' unless I, for some reason, need to identify it later.
I was going to post, but I think I'll go look up Epsilion's attack patterns instead.

I'm thinking about including a RAnewearl, or preferably, the daughter of a human and a newman. I've been looking into halfbreeds, and so far they seem far better than either of the individual races. The only problem is coming up with a backround and combat specializations.

The battle between the two sides; good and evil had finally reached its end, with good as the victor. As Nasca stood besides Zi's uncontious body he remembered Zi'Zuku's words "I cannot be defeated. all my fights will either end in victory, or a stalemate." He smiled as he remembered those words.
"You were right Zi, you still have not lost a fight, today you are the victor once again"
Nasca then looked at its katana, not a drop of blood could be seen in it even after such dreadful battle, only the usual white glow.
"You are a good friend, you may rest now, your job here is done" Nasca said this as he stored away the katana. Nasca then looked at Zi's body.
"I still have work to do"
Nasca put a hand over Zi's shoulder.
"*ugh* Nasca....I..." Zi's voice was fading away as if talking was too great a strain for him.
"Oh spirits of light and nature, please help me heal the one I have injured. Bring forth your light and heal!!!" A white glow began to course through Nasca's hand and into Zi's shoulder. Zi's body began to glow in the pure,white light, and slowly all of his wounds began to completly close, except for one, the wound Nasca had inflicted In Zi's back. It was still there as a scar.
"I am sorry, to have inflicted such a wound on you Zi, but think of it as a reminder of the day your good side emerged victorious over your evil one"
"......."
"Well Zi, for now the only thing I can do is wach over you, until you regain your strengh"
"......."
"Rest well my friend" Nasca said this as he sat near Zi. He then wandered if the others were alright....

Some minutes later...

Nasca had recheathed his sword, and now strode purposefully toward the tower off to the north with Zi'Zuku's unconscious body being carried on his shoulders.

KABOOM!! AND SOUND OF SHATTERING GLASS!!! (the roof of the highest floor is made of glass, right?)

Nasca immediatly looked up. A large cloud of black smoke was rising slowly into the sullen grey clowds from one corcer of the tower's roof. At it's base there was a dim orange glow, without a doubt being emitted from flames.

The air in the tower's top floor was thick with smoke, "What the hell was that?!" someone's voice came out of the haze.

The smoke slowly cleared in some of the areas farther from the explosion, allowing sight to those in that area. Arai was laying on his back not far from where the explosion took place, apparently forced into that position by the sudden pressure.

There was a mechanical creak, and Epsilopt (sp?) emerged slowly from the ash and flames. Nearly half of its armor had destroyed, along with most everything beneath it, and sparks were shooting out from these areas. Its armaments, however, were for the most part still functional.

How's that for turning the tide, Rubbish? Now the thing should barely be able to move (or does it not move already?), and I destroyed one or two of its legs, which act as shields most of the time, correct? To top it all off, that stunt made only a small dent in Arai's TP, though somehwat of a large one in his and everyone else's HP, speaking in gaming terms.

greebo stood up. He was always combating that stupid indegestion, but 8 boxes of "insert digestion medication" soon cured him. He stood up, right after everything went boom.

He leaned over to Bernie. "If we lose, do we still get a victory feast?"

"Naw, it will probably repeatedly stomp on us till we are gooey red streaks omn the ground, the go back to sleep."

Greebo paled. No pizza... the his face turned red as his blood rushed to his head. "MRWAEOOOOR!"

He slammed one foot into the ground, the the other foot. He charged the monstrosity, barreling down like a 789 wheeler that was carring way too many elephants. He slammed into Volsion, and grabbed what passed for it's head. He squeezed tightly, hoping to crush the thing into submission.

"Can you crush Laconium?" Arai asked, quite out of the blue.

"GREEBO NO CAN CRUSH LACYNUM!"

"then what are you doing?"

"Will KEEL IT!"

"It's Laconium."

Greebo turned to look at Arai. "I don't get it." Meanwhile, the evil crossbreed punk thing picked up one of it's big ole legs, Quite vol Opty like. And it stamped grebo's toe into the ground.

"OUUUUUIIIIIIIWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEE!!!" Greebo clutched his foot, and fell over onto the ground, rolloing in agony. Ever had thity thousand pounds of pressure dropped onto a body part?

She was going to go kill something. she walked in, flashing a hunter id, and walked up to the briefing table. the other hunters were gathered around, talking quietly. several turned to stare at her. They were probablt wondering why she was wearing such a bright,heavy coat. She almost looked fat.

The truth was, she really didn't like the colors blue and red, but at least it wasn't pink. And wearing a winter coat was a great way to keep warm. because Shala was always cold.

And the coat was a graet way to keep all her weapons close...

A small girl walked over to Shala. "Hi, I'm Kyra!" She recieved a blank stare.

"So?"

"Who are you? Are you coming with us? And why are you wearing That coat?"

"Shala. Yes. Find out yourself." Shala hid a smile on the inside, remaining emotionless and calm on the out side.

The girl looked slightly taken aback, but didn't move away. Shala busied herself checking her guns.

"What weapon do you use?" Kyra had a vague worried look, but it obviously wasn't about the answer. She seemed to be staring into space.

"Guns. With bullets." Shala did smile this time, a joyful smile that contrasted with her words. "They make a bigger mess, and hurt much more. More blood. And entry hole the size of your pinkie, and an exit wound twice the size of my fist."

Kyra gulped and edged a little awayt. This person was definately not someone to make quick friends with. "Well, I hope we can help each other out, some."

"I hope I get to kill..."

That's not a female Arai. Far too colorful as far as appearence goes, and far too not-having-previously-died-like, as for personality. She's more like a female Zi'Zuku, but still too colorful. Besides, the only purpose Arai wears a coat isn't just because it's a place to store his weapons. Well, yeah, I guess it is, actually. Wait, no! He can tie the bottom to the backs of his shoes in order to slow himself when falling from a great height.
[idlethought]Hmm, all Arai needs to be perfect is a pole of some sort so that I can steal -Z's idea of pole-vaulting to jump long distances.

I just realized that no one has gotten so much as a glance of Arai's face. I also remembered that Arai's wearing a hat that somehow manages to stay on his head through hundred-foot drops, his running at speeds greater than that of sound (exaggeration), and explosions.

Megumi struggled not to pound her 'hunter partner' to death. She had to be the most annoying little wretch that ever walked the pioneer 2. She sighed as faye's head and body turned every wichway everytime another wierdo guy passed bay.

"Hey megumi!"Faye said a little bit to enthusiasticly

"What now Faye"Megumi sounded rather tired and annoyed"

"How many people are here?"She was yet again staring across the sea of hunters.

"How should I know?" She was now sinking more miserably into her annoyance, Megumi swore that the first chance she got she would feed Faye to a monster on ragol.

"I know, I'll count them!!"

Megumi tried to get away from her as faye ran around tapping the hunters as she counted them.

"Hello there Mr. Seven, Hey 8 dont be so mean, 9 my you have a big nose!"

Megumi was at the verge of tears when Faye finally stopped counting.

"Two hundred and seventy three wierdo hunter person's!!!"

" You know just because we where roomates at the academy doesn't mean you have to follow me around everywhere!"Anger started to break through her sturdy wall of patience.

"I know, but it lotsa lotsa fun!!"

"NO IT ISN"T FUN!! I HATE IT WHEN YOU EMBARASS ME LIKE THIS!!"

"There there, you need to learn to controll that temper of yours."She patted Megumi on the head, enraging her further.

Megumi grabbed Faye by the scruff of her uniform

"Calm down or I will feed you to an android!!"

"How does that work"Faye asked innocently

Megumi sets her down with a sigh,

"Just please dont bounce off the walls anymore?"

Faye looked like she was giving serious consideration to this, then she suddenly pointed to the right.

"hey look, that guys all shiny and he has a big mean lookin sythe!"

"sigh"Megumi rubbed her forehead, this was going to be a long day.

Everyone in the enormous room had resumed their assault on the now immobilized, crablike machine. Though Epsilopt (sounds like something from a Greek myth) was scarcely capable of moving, those who combated it were still forced to remain in constant motion to avoid the explosive shells/grants-thingamajigs/whatever being fired. By now the smoke had cleared, and the clouds above had begun weeping cold tears over the tower, drenching those within in a heavy downpour. The fight was rapidly coming to an end, seeing as the rain disrupted the inner circuitry of the machine and shorted many electrical combonents that had been exposed by Arai's massive rafoie.

The main purpose of this was to get something done with the plot. I realize it was short, but now I'm forcing somebody to end the fight within the next few posts.

The repeated attack had worn the giant-robot-double-ai-ed thingy down. It was smoking, and the Grants were coming much slower now.

It then exploded, propelling everyone into the air, and causing the tower to collapse into itself, stopping about... say... 1 kilometer below the surface? Yea. NOT fun.

Luckily most of the windows had already been blown out and military buildings were laced with explosives 'just in case'. It was quite a satisfying explosion! And then everyone fell 2 kilometers into a giant pool!
