Yes, it's definitely worth it. Eventually you'll get bored, though, and you'll probably go insane trying to find a way to go online. I'm currently spending over $100 to get all the crap I need, when I should only have to spend about $60 including the first month of HL.

Im offline... I am obsessed for a while, then i get bored for a month, tghen i pick it up again


the only bad thing is that you never have the motiviation to do caves or ruins because they arelong, repetitive, and incredibly boring

It's ok alone, it gets lonely.......if you have friends play offline multi, it's a blast

i think that it would be best if you get it for the online perpose. it is more fun that way and you get mroe EXP and items from it.

What he said!!!, been playing this game since 6-8th of July, and can't get bored =D, well if you don't play too much or just don't play on weekdays, hehehe =P

EDIT: besides i like being offline, that way i don't get too obsessed with the game ^_~

Offline is way better in eps1&2, at least the screen splits and friends can play. Not like DC, where my friends would just "watch" me play...they got bored...then I got bored of them getting bored...blah blah blah. My favorite thing about being online is, by far, the people I've met. That's part of why my first corruption pissed me off so much, I lost everyone I knew and had to work back to 80 before I could play with them again. ~:|

Time for my 2 cents worth... Personally i didn't like online play...PSOX community sucked. To many annoying people, cheaters, and beggers. Maybe it was just me but I didnt enjoy on line play at all.... I only play off line and am fine with it. I am still having fun and I've had the game for over 3 months now.

Hey, offline is fun for a while (I played it for 200 hours or something, multi and single), but online is a lot better. Its kinda of hard to get the stuff to allow you to get online, but its well worth it in the end.

My friend has NO internet connection, but stil plays PSO. He has had it for a LONG time, his highest character is 126 and the rest above 100, like 3 others. He says he has to run through Ruins twice in Ultimate, by himself, just get near gaining a lvl. He says it get very very boring.
When he comes over, he has so much fun playing Multiplayer.
With all the quests to help you gain lvls ON-LINE, I have to say it ISNT worth it to but PSO and play strictly offline.
I only play OFF-LINE to open areas and play with Friends.
