I'm sure I posted this topic before but felt it didn't get the attention it deserved!
First, someone please point me to information on how to link the DC to your pc as a server. Second, anyone know of a ISP in the UK that supports DC dial-up with a flat monthly charge & free phone number?
Thanks for your time peoples!

Hmmm...
Try this place...
http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/dreamcast/file/phantasy_star_online_free_uk.txt
To set up your ISP...
And then go to
http://www.btinternet.com
Here, you can sign up for a 24-hour deal with BT without phone bill. ^_^
I'm still attempting to get the US browser... soon... ^_^

A question for anyone who may be able to help:-
I use BT Internet Anytime as the ISP on my PC. I have the UK version of Phantasy Star Online, although I've heard that if you get the right version of the US browser you can input your details and use your own ISP to play PSO.
The only download of a browser I have seen is version 2.606 of Planetweb. I think its 2.02 you need, as 2.606 is very unreliable and can reset, and alter your acces number if used with PSO. Anyone know where I can get hold of version 2.02 of the browser? Thanks.

So I have Browser.2.0 now what?
I have my BT internet thing set up , but how do I configure my DC to dial the number I have been given by BT and how will PSO know what number to dial, password to use, etc?
from,
Tyler (frustrated) Frost!
There's an alternative to the US browser for those who can't find it. Marcus Comstedt has a self made program to modify the isp settings of the dreamcast.
mc.pp.se/dc (http://mc.pp.se/dc), software section, at the very bottom of the page.

Hmm... this is version 2...
www.maxtarget.com/dcw/dcw_utils_misc.shtml
But I'm not sure if it works well or not.
Frost - Read that FAQ I listed. It should show you how to do it. ^_~ And email the author to say thanks if it works. ^_^
Tyler: well, you edit your settings (phone number, login, password, dns, etc.) using the us browser, and it's saved in the flash ram of the dc (not the vmu).
Online games uses the settings saved in the flash to connect to the isp.

Ice - Could you make that http address for the FAQ into a hyperlink please!
My works proxy blocks the site but I can 'save target as' option it if it's a hyperlink!
Thanks,

P.s. I won't have to link my DC to my PC will I? Please God, no!

I don't have CD burner at the time being, any chance of purchasing the disc from anywhere?
Such as any import shops.

Sorry to drag this up again but I followed the Links and all the instructions right down to the end.. And no luck!!
I have 2 copies of the browser, ver.2 and ver2.06 neither seem to run automatically when I put them in my DC. I don't know if this is because I have to erase all of my current settings B4 the I try to run the cd.
Can anyone help with this? Is there anyone here from UK that has actually tried this and succeeded in doing so.... If there is please Private message me and lend me a hand...
Thanks everyone!

I leaned all about using the US Browser over http://www.ukresistance.com which is currently down for some odd reason. If you goto the message board if it ever opens again there is a step-by-step guide by some called Revels or Revellia on exactly how to set up your ISP with the US browser disc. Very useful.
I've gone over to DCcopyworld, but I don't know what I should be doing with the sa-browse.zip. I have two options - Mirror #1 (Online) and Mirror #2 (online. Which one should I be downloading?

Either one.... It doesnt matter!
I've got the load on disk, nut it's not autorunning... only thing is that I don't want to delete my browser settings just incase the cd still doesn't work! And then I'll be fucked cause it will mean no more online PSO!
What a dilema!

Are you using a UK DC? If so then you might need to use a boot up disc for the browser (AR:CDX demo). If I was you I wouldn't go deleting the internal memory, because as you say it could mean no more online PSO.

Certain browsers have a self-boot code attached. This means they'll boot on any DC, any territory. If yours hasn't, then it should with a boot disc.
If you by an action replay you should be able to boot it that way. A real old edition of DC-UK had a demo of the action replay on it. I can't find the URL, but I know the company is Utopia, but that's about it. Someene else maybe able to help though.
