To get away from all the legit vs unlegit threads going on, I thought it would be nice to make a thread everyone can participate in without many flame.
Anyway, as you can see from the thread title I'd like to discuss the purpose of '???' weapons and items. And NO I'm not talking about '??? Rifles' and whatnot. I'm talking about those white sabers that have weird animations (ie. Two white sabers that act like mechguns with the Yasminkov sound effect). Here's some info I've gathered so far on it..
It's encoded on the disc so it cannot be "hacked" by a hacker.
It's not multiequip
One of the sabers acts as a triple flow (Think of the double flow except you can do the special 3 times)
They don't alter your stats, making them useless.
They have their own hexcode so they are individual items and NOT mixed and matched
You need the God/Equip patch to use them
...And that's about it.
So any thoughts? I think they're left over weapons Sega was planning on putting in the game but scratched that idea but still kept them on the disc because they thought nobody would find them. Or maybe they're just graphics that were used in testing the animations..but, I want other people's thoughts on 'em.
