Will players be required to pick a character to play as (as in when in a battle) in the final, or will players be able to use their own characters? I didn't understand that part in Ep3 coverage.

It seems you can Create your character for the Lobby only.

and in Battle you Use the Characters Such as Sil'fer or Break. Too bad eh?

It's gonna get old using the same characters over and over, especially once you start fighting people with the same class.

Well, the game will still be fun, of course, but the sight of the same person, especially one I didn't make, will push me to making more and more new people to keep it feeling fresh.

the ability to pick the right deck/character to match up against your opponent's chosen deck/character is an acquired skill. so is playing the different classes and sides.

so obviously, the char you pick alters which card you can use. so there is no point giving an android a deck full of tech cards. and no point giving a humar a berydsh. and you have to try and use you chars abilities to the max (dear god why did i say that) to exploit the weaknesses of your opponent.
i must admit, it still quite as "cool" as being able to use yourself.

you can't just assign a deck any damn card you want, some cards will be greyed out and unavailable depending on class.

It still would be nice to have battles as your own character, though. I mean, the strategy and things are nice and all but I'd like to see my own char with her own deck out there taking on opponents.

I wonder if we play as our characters in tournaments...

I mean, part of the thing that I liked so much with Episode I & II is the feeling of actual involvement. The character in front of you? It's you! You're the one helping Elly out, killing monsters, it isn't just someone you control.
