is there really going to be a death of hack's/dupes in 3 mon

like the title says...i was on pso one night and well i met this guy who was i guess supposedely from microsoft or somthing like that..and he said that they are going to destroy or eliminate the hack's and dupe's in 3 months is this true?and he said he was going to do a hacker bust...

Definitely a lie. You can't delete all dupes, since they're technically no different from legit items.

Rumor: There will be a patch tomorrow on Xbox and it will delete all hacked items and ban everyon that has a hacked item in their inventory or bank.
Fact: So far, it has never happened. And Microsoft released an anti dupe patch.If your friend has an uncle that works at Microsoft and knows insider information on when they will release a patch that will ban items and people, well good for you. We'd rather wait to see it happen.

As a side note, anyone could go online and say they
are from Microsoft and spread misinformation around.
I wouldn't trust the sources of online players too much,
as they can make stuff up just as easily as anyone else can.

I got a better idea. Here are my suggestions:
-Ban most 11 and 12 star weapons and armor for 2 weeks.
-Disable all rare drops and replace the rare drops with a momomate for two weeks.
-Fix all server issues.
-Also for item cheaters, if they bring a illegal item to the server their characters will be reset. Their item pack will be gone, bank items will be gone. Their chracter will start again with their basic weapons, a level 5 mag. But their level,stats and material limit will stay the same.

I'm going to post three articles on how to solve the problem and a real answer to the problem. And guess what,everybody knows about it but forgot about it.

how are they going to do that. You could have a legit uber rare item and noone would know the difference.

They cant and wont ever delete thing off of your xbox hd. if they did great ill just get more hacked items; oh get banned nope that wont happen either theres ways around that. in pure english you wont get rid of dupers or hackers so u just keep thinkin theres a lite at the end of the tunnel

Hah then once the 2 weeks are over, is everyone just supposed to keep the extras left in the bank there?

Cant do that through any patch. You would need to modify the game files but they are on the PSO DVD.

Yeah okay its not that easy.

The servers cant overwrite your characters.

You can dupe off line as well so all it would do is fix the problems ON LINE. If somebody dupes and doesn't go online or doesn't have and account they can't stop them!

There is no way for the servers to erase all of your items because nothing is saved to the PSO servers...its all saved into your Xbox. If this game was like D2...where all the weapons had their own IP and such, it would be possible to delete the dupes. Unfortunately it's not. So you have to deal with the dupes, hacked items, etc. At least you can't dupe or multiequip online when PSOX.
