explain. ddr ultramix will be released on november 18 according to the guy in charge of the program. the code has gone gold. it supports xbox live play and 4 players on a box at a time.

Every version of DDR made for the US has sucked. Well, maybe not sucked, but pale in comparison to the Japan versions. DDR USA wasn't good. DDR KONAMIX wasn't good. DDR MAX USA wasn't good. DDR MAX2 USA wasn't good. None of the US versions have ever been good.

Now, KONAMI is bringing DDR to the Xbox. Will this version be any different?

Looking at the current song list, only two songs really interest me: Mind Parasite and Quickening. These two songs are from other BEMANI (IIDX, GF&dm, ect.) games, and haven't been in any version of DDR yet. Should be interesting to see the step patterns given to them.

Some of the others are new licensed songs. This may sound like a good thing, but have you ever played DDR MAX2 USA? It had plenty of new licensed songs. All of them had horrible step placement. Either too easy, or off-beat.

I'm not trying to bash ULTRAMIX or anything. In fact, being the DDR Dork that I am, I'll most likely pick the game up on release date. I'm also looking forward to the Internet Ranking feature. I always register on the Japan Internet Rankings, but never actually rank in. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif The US competiton won't be half as difficult, so I might actually stand a chance now.

I just hope KONAMI doesn't screw up another US version of DDR.

use any of those two sigs and i will delete it. and it gives people seizures!

a) if people had seizures, i doubt they would post it. (they would be in the...you know, hospitals)
b) there used to be one here that was random colors going at a million miles an hour (can't remember who. best guess is firocket)
