Those were the little paper and plastic "slammers" things weren't they? If thats them, I remember them, and still have several tubes full, somewhere. How long did they last?

Too bad they changed the time of that show on TV Land http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif . It used to come on for an hour right as I got home from school, and again at 9 or 9:30. Now I have no idea when it comes on.

They need to make it so links are underlined, a different color, or anything that makes it different from normal text.

How would you know what liquid shit tastes like in the first place?

Bradicus
Oct 22, 2003, 08:01 PM
only two things could taste this bad... better to call it shit.

Uncle_bob
Oct 22, 2003, 08:06 PM
It could be vomit or liquified roadkill too.

Just sit right back and you'll here the tale
the tale of a fateful trip, that started from
this tropic port aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was amighty sailing man the skipper
brave and sure.Five passengers set sail that day
for a three hour tour.A three hour tour.

The sea started getting rough the tiny ship was
tossed. If it weren't for the courage of the fearless
crew The Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be
lost.

The ship set ground on foot of this uncharted desert
isle with Gilligan, the skippier too, the millionair,
and his wife,a movie star, the professor and MaryAnne
Here on Gilligans Isle!

Depending on your color scheme, links are underlined. For some, links are in different colors (like Cherry-Coke; text is white, links are red), but not underlined, which kind of makes sense since you can't change text color in BBCode afaik. Blue-Black though has all white text (including links) and all links are underlined.

you guys went a li'l off subject (but this is fresh kills after all =P) about these pogs you speak of... back when i was in elementary school, the kiddies loved 'em. god, they sucked...

and recently, i dug up an old magazine about them... they were actually milk caps, and the game originated in hawaii... and the inventor of the game insists that plural of pog is still pog... similar to moose. or would that really be mooses? mice? bwa!!!

Mine is a gold one that had an 8-ball sticker on it, but I took it off.

Now it gets oxidized!

The plural to moose is the same as the plural to goose!
Yes, gooses... or even meese http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif Or even scarier, what if it's the same as the crow! A murder of meese or mooses! The world is going to end! *turns around and runs flat into a wall*

Anyway, pogs. Small, round, an excuse to slam down round plastic thing onto the floor http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Great fun when I was 10

Metal 'slammers' were cool but they tended to dent my best pogs dammit.
I wish I were 13 again. (or younger? I dunno how old I was then.)

You put the paper pogs into stacks, of 10 or 20 or something I think, then slam your plastic or metal slammer down (there was a special way, which I forgot). You got either a point or to keep whatever ones landed the opposite way they were stacked.

Example:
Stacked all face up, 20 per stack.
Slammed, 9 land face down.
You get 9 points/to keep those 9 (depending on how you play, who you play with).

Bradicus

Ah! i forgot about the stacking. I believe i played for keeps.
