Yes, it is normal. I see them everyday and yet, they still play dead after i hit them a few times. hmm...

Things it is:

Really fronking huge.
Something that just happens, supposedly in about 1/10 or so El Rappies. Supposedly a tribute to something from PSIV.

Yeah, that was a pretty big rappy... Still, as I recall, the King Rappy would've been big enough to eat one of the fat rappies on PSO... But yeah, if it's a tribute to anything at all, it would be the King Rappy of PS4. That was an interesting quest...
