I am a legit player, always have been. I will not use hacks. But here is what I will do. I will trade for dupes. You might say thats wrong. But if I spend hours upon hours getting items worth trading for such things, how is that wrong? I will trade for a dupe as long as I know I worked hard enough to deserve that item. I won't accept it if its uberly hacked of course. I'm ok with dupers, as long as they trade their dupes with legit people for things worthy of said item.
See, I don't have a Viridia ID, so I can never get a real Nei Claw. Most of them out there are dupes. So I know if I trade, its probably going to be duped. Thats why, I'll live with it, as long as I trade for it. Because I worked hard for the trade material. Now, I don't like dupers who just throw stuff around to people who doesn't deserve that item. It is wrong. If someone dupes something, they should distribute them the legit way through trades of equal value.
I believe in this way, dupers and legit people can co-exist.
Some say we legit people are overstrung about status symbols that rares represent, but thats not really the case. Like most MMORPG, there is a delicate economy surrounding items. Any game where trading is promoted, all sorts of items hold certain values. If they are distributed freely like candy, that ruins the value of said item. Its kind of like counterfit money...
Dupers, as a legit person who wishes for peace, I ask you to not freely distribute your items, to preserve the act of trade and keep PSO's economy in check.
Btw, I'm looking for a real Nei's Claw. lol *runs off*

Thats not ever going to happen. They most likely took about 10 min out of their day to dupe an item that they got from another duper. SO you would end up trading a hard earned item for a 10 min dupe. seems unfair to me. Legit btw

How do you know it was from another duper? Chances are it wasn't, there enough dupers that few items get re-duped more than twice, if at all. And it takes 2 minutes at most - when I need scape dolls, it takes about 45 seconds,

Funny, I don't remember her asking for a comment on her morals or who was getting the better end of the deal.

How does this have any bearing on what you, her, I, or anyone else has said?

And I dont remember asking for YOUR opinion either. Correct me if Im wrong, but getting a dupe happens like this (and the process of how the duper got it)
Like I stated above either the duper got it from:
another duper
another duper for free
or him/herself
If he got it from another duper (and the duper didnt spend his life getting the item which is duped) then he didnt have to spend however long it takes to get some nice rare items (such as BKB or something)
If he got it for free, then he spent no play time getting it. He got it so he wouldnt have to spend his life finding it or he/she is just lazy
If he/she duped it, in essence you give them your item for free. They will have a copy of that item you just got so they arent losing anything. YOU are.
If it could happen anyother way please say so.

Whether its a dupe or not your trading for, its still that item, even if its only a copy. How is it unfair if in the end you get that item you wanted? You take it such the wrong way. Prehaps it'd be better calling dupes items instead, won't sound so bad.
So say you want this item, and you don't have the section ID for it. Its also very rare. So its most likely...an item that may have been produced. Does this mean you should never try and get it then? No. If you yourself know you worked hard enough for an item, whether or not it was produced, you should feel fufilled in knowing you took the time to gain the items for a successful trade. Where the item came from shouldn't be of any concern. As long is its not some super hacked item, I don't see a problem, as long as the economy is secure...
And as for your last comment, if they'd do as I ask and not give their dupes away freely, that would be avoided because the duper would have to earn that item the hard way as well, working their butts off for trades. In the end though, all dupes originate from one player who worked his butt off to get that item, them decided instead of being considered a better player than everyone else, to make more so people have an easier time getting that item. They sacrific a bit too you know.
I don't hate dupers, never will. Infact, some of their actions are somewhat justified, but...I dislike those who just throw things around without care, just to annoy others...

I am a legit and dont mind dupers as long as thay are not assholes. I thank Dupers & legits cood get along if both side wood show a litle respect to each other & lay of the additude that I am better than you.
I get sick of the war between dupers & legit at time it gets out of hand. Let the Testosterome settle & the fighting stop.

This argument won't hold, I'm afraid. Legits did the exact same thing on V2 even when trading wasn't promoted, so the rise of trading is just added justification for something you probably would have done anyway.

Duping isn't wrong to a point I do not Condon mass duping were you make allot of a weapon and give it to everyone ((J Sword, Red Ring)) I also feel offering your duping power to trade for a thing you need is wrong as well. Now I will openly admit I dupe BUT i got a high code If 1 of my Friend want one of my weapons they get that one alone i wont dupe all my shit for them and give it to them Only Real Reason i started duping is case i got many MANY FSOD and just got tired of losing my items time after Id work hard get what i need go to show it off and BAM Fsod And lose it so i dupe to keep my items yes legit find it wrong but to me it insures ill never lose anything in a Fsod again.
