Soukosa
Oct 26, 2003, 08:24 PM

Soukosa
Oct 26, 2003, 08:44 PM
There's plural. Kanji's not that hard.

Richard

Japanese nouns do not have plural forms. For example, the word hon means a book, the book, books, or the books. hons would not be a real word.

Soukosa

Some pronouns do.

Actually there is a pluarizer kanji for nouns, but
I usually do not see it in actual use. It seems to
be used to refer to the group of objects as a singular
noun, rather than the collection of multiple objects,
if that makes sense.

Watashi wa nihongo ga sukoshi shika hanasemaesen...

"I can only capable of speaking a little Japanese"

EDIT- Also, not all nouns are able to be made plural.
Another EDIT- Romaji, being the English sound translation
of Japanese characters, allows capitals and question
marks. Question marks refer to rising the voice at
the end of a sentence to make it a question.

For example:
Akai kuruma da?
Quite plainly: the Red Car? with the rising last sound
to make it more of a question.

Capitals in Romaji are simply to ease of reading to
those who are actually using Romaji to learn, and
is a mere convienence.
