The red ring, that is. I hope Sega never, ever release this, because it marks people out as dirty cheaters. I've left a lot of games of late thanks to this item. Thanks to the hacker who duped it - wow, it's so useful while looking for true legits. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Well...

(This is going to come from someone that doesn't have the red ring)

Don't be stupid. What you just said RIGHT THERE was THE MOST, UNAPPROPRIATE things I EVER seen on this forum board this month. What you said "lures" a flaming message to ANYONE that plays this game. When I come back from lunch (5 minute break), this topic should be closed.

That's all I got to say.

I agree, this is absolutely idiotic and should be closed. Just another reason I don't visit the boards here as much.

OK, I'm stupid. Heh. What a laugh.

The red ring is a hack. If you use it, you are obviously a cheater. It is emblazoned on your wrist like a great red warning sign. Most legits aren't going to play with you if you use it, so what is the problem? Why do you care?

Like I say, red ring is a good sign you use other uber cheats. I don't want to play with you, because you take away the challenge of the game. Ergo, you ruin it for me. Now, I play with some dupers/cheaters, but they don't use uber cheats/hacks, they don't multi equip, they don't wreck the challenge of the game. Hence, I will play with those few cheaters I know who have a sense of joy in the gameplay, don't show off, don't take away the challenge etc. But those people are rare. Of course they are rare. Cheating means extra power, so cheaters who CHOOSE to wield that power are very rarely going to be considerate of other players who wish there to be some challenge. Almost everybody equiping these HACKED ITEMS is not playing for any sense of challenge. They are playing to show off their hacked items. I speak from experience here.

And on the cheating Red Ring challenge thing, I'm not sure I agree. Well, I sort of do, to an extent. 50% maybe. One thing is certain, and that is that PSO is not really a challenging game. I'm hard-pressed to find people unlike myself who mostly sign on each day to chat with their pals about unimporant things like Jello, which bands suck today, and experiences with sleep-walking. If I want an old-fashioned challenge I'll whip out Ikaruga, thank you very much. Anyway, since PSO is very much stat-based, once you get up to a certain level you should probably be having a pretty easy time with the game anyway. Red Ring's stats aren't a great deal better than the ever-common Kasami Bracer, so I wouldn't take one look at someone wearing one and automatically assume they're unfamiliar with being challenged.

To be honest, I like playing with people who are not legit because most of them have a very laid-back feeling about them, an aura if you will. Playing with only legit items is great too, don't get me wrong, just sometimes it's nice to take a break and just cap some bartles, bask in the pixilated Ragolean sunset and chat about... Jello.
