Come on now, what is the major point of using time and photon drops, to get better weapons. Finally make in online since October 22nd, 2003 and I finally get to use those damn blasted photon drops. "Wow" I said to myself..."hmmm, photon booster?" So I used PSOW guides and read that the photon booster is used to evolve or upgrade certain weapons.
And I thought, hey I got one of those Frosen Shooters...and that can be changed to a Snow Queen.
You would figure that after hours of rare hunting and photon drops acquiring you would be able to acquire a "good" weapon. Man I even grounded my Frosen Shooter to its Maximum (and wasted grinders of course), finally acquire the "Photon Booster" and I was overjoyed at the prospect of getting the Snow Queen. So I finally changed my Frosen Shooter to the SNOW QUEEN (heck if it has Queen in the name it should be awesome, right?).

WHAT A WASTE, darn I got regular rifles that are better than this piece of crap. What the hell, you cant even combo attack with the stupid thing. It has a major lag time after each and every single shot. Meanwhile your getting pounded by a horde of Goomas. WTF, my Frosen Shooter was better than this crap, why in the hell did they make it so tricked to get but so dumb to have. WHY??!!??

So why even bother with the stupid Photon Booster, it sucks, should have been called Photon Downer...GRRRRRRR!!! Now to see if I can get another Frosen Shooter and sell my stupid Snow Queen for 10 Meseta, and definetely never consider wasting my time getting a photon booster (downer)

On the bright side, the Blue/Black stone was also bought in Galleon's Shop for Drops.

It was used to make the 1773 dupe !!

Have you used the special? And did you notice that the Frozen Shooter randomly freezes you and the Snow Queen doesn't? And that the Snow Queen goes STRAIGHT through enemies, making a line of ice sculptures? Fun stuff... if you still don't like it, fine, but I gotta tell you, I think its better than FS.

ok.....you say the Snow Queen sucks.....alright...yep freezing people automatically sucks....yep....a line of Baranz in my way i think i should use my frozen shooter which randomly freezes and doesn't go through people instead of a weapon that shoots through them all and freezes non-randomly.

And just think: if you've got an online party with a meatshield or two, you can make their lives that much easier with every shot. The Snow Queen's a support weapon for online parties, IMO.

WTH!? Not all HUmars use/have a duped BKB, some dont even have one, so will you stop with the stupid "All HUmars have 1337 BKB's *snicker snicker*"

and Snow Queen does randomly freeze you, mine randomly freezes on me, if it doesnt, then...heh....weird...

Stand around enough, and it too will freeze you. You have to run around an hope the enemies STAY in a STRAIGHT line for you to freeze them with the Snow Queen.

I have used the special btw. Its the speed of it that I am griping about, forcing you to move away and shoot and hope everyone behaves and stands still in a straight line for you.

And I know that they dont, especially if you did a Nightmare run the Snow Queen is more of a burden.

My biggest gripe was the time involved to get the photon booster which i believed would give you a more versatile and powerful weapon.

Granted, Snow Queen can hit multiple enemies, but it is far from versatile.

Granted, Snow Queen can hit multiple enemies, but it is far from versatile.

Obviously, FS and SQ are not your guns. Both are specialist guns that require Cure/Freeze. And as Kupi states, they're support weapons that make the life of the mellee chars a lot easier, although FS can also be used for standalone fighting. And you're either the freezer specialist, or you're not. If you're not, forget both guns and find a weapon that does fit your specialism, or lack of it...
That the enemies have to be in a line, or close together in the distance is also something that is no problem when you're giving support fire, as you can wait in the doorway for the enemies to cluster around your teammates. (If they're any good, they'll be able to avoid getting hit until you freeze the monsters)
In the ideal situation, you (like me) carry around both and use each as fits the occasion. Ofcourse that does mean risking'em to FSOD...

As a powerful support gun I have found SQ worth the time spent on getting it. Although I have to admit I didn't do it alone. Had some serious help from friends there...
