10 % of the PSO players on-line are legit!

It depends on where he took the poll. Obviously in places with heavy cheater traffic the legit count will be lower. Go to a Japanese sever and the numbers will be higher.

it depends on you idea of legit. almost anyong who has traded with someone online is not legit to some people.in terms of trying to stay legit as much as possible or not knowing about a duped item is different. so in my opinion strictly speaking, i would say around 10% at the most completely legit

Depends on what you consider to be "legit". Everyone has their own perceptions and "rules" on what makes a legit "legit", so it really depends on who you ask...

Well, I am counting the JP servers, it's the same as US or EU as regards 'legitness', only the people don't play the same.

If you are counting the Japanese servers, I'd say that seeing as there are more players on those servers, more than HALF of PSO online is legit.

Those who think the Japanese cheat as much as we do, only need to stay off their main ship, Merope. It's sparsely populated and there are often 'suteba' (garbage disposal) games that could be legit, but often are people throwing out dupes. Kopii ya (Copy shop) games are also in evidence here.
If you go to Mintaka block 02 or 03 (people don't use 01 for some reason), those are the most populated blocks on the server, and I've found a grand total of one cheater on this ship in the past few months. 99% of Mintaka is legit, and that's no joke.

I think everyone's a cheater who plays Online. Since my view is dominant... I can tell you why... "Because I don't trust ANYBODY", I don't know you people... You could be playing offline or something with hacked to the sky type weapons.

I wonder how this friend got the idea that is was 10%, and you that is was 50%. I haven't seen anyone that has actualy done the research.
And ofcourse, to a large extent it depends on where you look and when. And most importantly on the defintion of legit you use. If we are to follow BogusKun's definition, the online legit % is 0, without even needing research. However, there are also ppl saying duping is legit, making for a much higher %. Although I am not certain how many dupe users know a hack from a 'legit dupe'...

Well from what I've seen from Forum Members, they have said things like:
I only see cheaters
There are legit people, you just need to search http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Etc. etc. So that's how I got my prediction of 50% legit.
My friend plays PSO online so I suppose his prediction is more accurate since he plays alot on-line(every day, he's very active!).

Typically, JP players reserve the first block of each ship for "Trading" only.

How do you put up with the language barrier..?


The few times I've went, I kept feeling...'out of place' and never went back. EVEN though they were nice. Didn't know they have thier own cheaters.

I know there are many Japanese people who cheat. I played with Ass4Sale, Hayato, and Seamless, who are Japanese top cheating little bastards.

Oh and I saw Mark 777 with Red and Blue rings.

I don't think Ass4Sale is Japanese, although I've seen him speaking to Japanese players, I highly doubt he is Japanese. He's just too American. The Japanese I saw him use was rudimentary. If you want I can go challenge him by seeing how much he knows, but he's never around, is he? Just doing an SNK impression in lobby 08-13.

And I know for a fact Hayato is not Japanese. He probably can read hiragana and katakana enough to play the game, but some of the garbage he has spammed shows up that he is doing this from a dictionary. I remember once he was spamming "PSO World sucks", then "Baka baka douseiai" in kanjis all freaking night. Baka means stupid as everyone knows. Douseiai is actually a rather honourific term for homosexual (It means same sex love, and is not an insulting term, nor is it one twisted to be insulting like gay unfortunately is). So he was trying to say "Stupid stupid gay" in kanji to appear clever, but in actual fact me and a Japanese player who had also wandered into antares were laughing at this. A japanese person would not spam this sort of rubbish, it's typical schoolyard chanting translated (badly) into Japanese. Baka means idiot not idiotic, how can a website be a idiotic person? It just doesn't work. If Hayato fooled you into thinking he's Japanese, then I gotta laugh, because his deception is very easy to uncover.

I don't know the other guy, but I'll bet he probably isn't Japanese either, if he hangs around with Hayato and co. Just because a player is constantly in J mode doesn't mean they are Japanese.
