Do the stat guides take into account any armor bonus to DEF and EVP? I'm thinking they don't but want to make sure before I go any farther.

I don't think so. Defense and evasion bonuses that armor and shields give aren't reflected in base DFP and base EVP, last I checked.

I just wanted to make sure. Now I don't have to waste mats and Mag points on those 2.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

You need the EVP and DFP mats to max your stats. The armor and shields don't add to your base stats. Armors and shields allow you to go over the max, by adding to the number outside the (xxx)s which is the base stats (the ones you max).

Sorry if it didn't make sense.

I forgot that the equip. bonuses are seperate, crap that sticks me back to using mats on DEF and EVP. I hate using them on those two.

Just in case you dont know:
There are many weapons that increase MST and some even increase LCK, so you might want to take these stats into account when you calculate how many materials youre going to use, as these stats add to the base stats.

Wait a second... so basically, with a MAG with 75 power (150 ATP) and I give it to my force with a max of 500 ATP, I cannot go over that base ATP.. PERIOD?

So basically, looking at the FOnewearl stats, I should have perhaps not raised the POW stat of my mag to 75 but to rather 50, because at level 200 I would have maxed out that stat. I could have moved that to MST or DEX instead.. so basically I screwed myself over 25 levels for an attribute I can't even use? ARG!....

Oh darn, considering its my first mag to 200, and since I've never used a force before - a melee one at that - I think I balanced out my mag pretty well at 50/75/50/25... as the only part I really did screw up was POW. But then again, chances are I won't bring my char to level 200. I dunno.

Kinda peeves me off though!

It's fine to have whatever mag you want for your play style. I'm sure you will be able to make many level 200 mags by the time you actually reach level 200. So the mag is fine the way it is, since you most likely are not even close to maxing out in the first place. Don't worry about it too much.

I'm just annoyed my mat useage is reached and i only have 72 lck grrr. But sod it at lv 200 I aint going for max stats just max ata and pow and use all my slots for god battle, cure units and Pb creates. Oh and sheilds like Kasumi raise base atp.

Using PSO character manager, I've figured my ATP with my current mag will be maxed out when I'm level 140... and I'm level 101 right now.

Arg.

I can see what you are saying, and if you later decide to try for max stats, you would most likely use a God/Ability, which increases ATA by 2 and all other stats (including Luck) by 20. In fact, when maxing, it's best NOT to use 45 luck materials. Unless of course you are using a FOmarl.

Exactly, but if you really want to max out your character i can tell you that FOnewearls will never max out all stats, even with 4 God/Abilities, the best calculator in the world and the bonus from weapons.
Heres a little advice from me: For materials, use as many Def Materials as possible. Because Def Materials raise DFP by 2, whereas on the mag, it raises only one, meaning if you have a mag with 50 Def, it will raise your DFP by 50, unlike Mind for example, who in this case would raise your MST by 100.
I hope you understand what i mean...

Yea not alot of people grasp the whole maxing stats concept, it is a hard thing to get. It took me a while. Also say you have a g/pow equiped and ur a RAmar, ur pow maxes out at 1260. And say you lv 150 and ur pow maxed, that g/pow is a waist of a slot, put somthing else there like a cure somthing!
