It's ok, not the end of the world though yeah? Going into the army as a career was just one option right? More options will open up for you, just keep your eye out.

Was that really the sole reason why you were discharged? Seem a little bit, harsh. Two pounds is easily lost in boot camp. Did they give any other reasons for their decision? Becuase if it is the weight, they just proved themselves to extremely idiotic to use such a lame excuse to discharge someone.

yeah, that's what happens... its not that the 2 pounds is going to make much of a difference, but if they make an exception for him, why can't they make an exception for joe schmo? or shall i say me... i couldn't get into the military because i have asthma. i could do it, and i could be a better soldier that 9/10ths of the rest of the military! i really think that if you were that close, you should have just lost the freakin' 2 pounds... i'm sure you knew you were close to the limit. good luck on your new life as a college student though.
This is a good thing if it means I won't have to read anymore posts about you going to the army.

Why did you want to go in the first place?
And yea they are super strict about that weight limit..I had a friend that was discharged cause she was 45 overwieght. And the thing about that is, once you get in, you must remain within that limit. Very hard for those whos metabolism is slow.(Or fast?)
Oh well, that's just one door closed. Still many more for you to walk through..

I was planning on getting married next year. My girlfriend and I got into a HUGE fight last night... but we talked for hours about how things were going to be, and the the 'plan' wasn't gonna fly any more. Simply for the reason that I can't afford to be married.
When I was growing up, my parents made a deal to me. This is the deal: "If you go to college, and graduate, we will pay your full way through." So, I have a full ride, I have to go and find a job now. Im not going to work full time... an I'm going to do things just like I was in high school. Do the chores that I did, and then some, and not have to pay rent. The pride is gone, I'm just me again.
And one last thing, I start my diet/workout plan today. The diet is easy, no more fast food. I eat fast food, about 15 times a week. So, I think that's a great deal of the problem right there. But I've always had a tiny weight problem. Right now I'm 5'10 1/2'' and 199 lbs. About 3 months ago I was 187 lbs....the guys at the "MEPS" place were mad at me because I gained about 14 lbs. Thing is, alot of is was muscle weight... I can gain muscle weight pretty fast. I have a large frame, so I'm not all lanky ya know? I'll send a pic of my Full body so you can make the call....but until then later homies!?!?!

yeah, one of my classmates recently told me that he has lost 100 lbs in the past year just by giving up french fries and adding exercise to his daily regimen... he apparently went to wendy's twice a day to have biggie fries... anyhow, fast food is a good way to watch your weight...
i'm no expert on health, but i have taken a nutrition class (and in the middle of a second one), but i would also like to remind you to get your fiber. its not just for old people, and it will make you feel better! this means more raw fruits and vegetables, and eat the skin. but i'm sure you knew that... fiber, exercise, and water are the three things that can help people lose weight...

NO...you can go back, but I'm not gonna go back...I'd have to wait a minimum of two months to go back...I probably won't get the job I want. And then I'd have to wait again for basic...so I may have to wait up to 6-9 months..I don't have time for that.
