Dumb British Computer game survey

Looking throught the paper today, I found a small article about a stupid survey that Woolworths has done. ('Woolies' are a multipurpose shoplike thing for those who don't know. It's 'popular' over here.)

Thinking it could be interesting, I read on.
The survey results seemed to have turned out well I guess to begin with.

Sonic was named best ever computer game character.
Then I read Lara croft was voted second (Doesn't deserve it, but I'll let it slip) and Mario third. (Eddy Gordo from Tekken was 5th!?)

That part of the said survey didn't annoy me that much tough, it was this:

that is truely pathetic... almost as shameless as the ratings at nintendo.com- wow! evey game ever released for the GC seems to have a player rating of 5/5... no matter how many times i vote 1/5... wait! Aqua man only has a four :/ at least i can still play the perfect ranked X men fighting game

I dont understand your first sentance, my critical friend. As to the rest, i doubt any gamer (serious or otherwise) would give aqua man anything over a 1. I am fairly sure that they all start out as perfect scores.

Edit- Perhaps you meant that nintendo does not give the scores, yet i really dont think everyone that votes has the iq of a carrot.

My theory is that they are doctored.

the problem is that as someone said, the people that vote are snotty little 10 year old idiots who dont knwo abotu games and swallow the hype surroinding a game 100%. it annoys me much.i think anyoen who wasnt into games from at the latest the saturn cant tell good games.
