I guess the reality of what had happened to me had finally really set in. I finally got up after I dont know how long, and walked over to where I had set down the items and picked up the frame. I had no idea how to work it but I needed something to occupy my time. After about a half an hour of fiddling around with the frame i set it aside and picked up the saber. It was cool to the touch and felt natural in my hand. I grasped it with my left hand and activated it with my right. It hummed to life and the room was illuminated by the green light. I didn't spin it around in my hand because I had no idea what I was doing and didnt want to hit or break anything. I deactivated it and set it aside again. With nothing better to do I went and sat on the sofa, turning on the holovision on my way over with the remote control. I began to surf through the channels, stopping every once in awhile to see an ad on a job or something. Suddenly an ad caught my eye. The name of their buisiness was the Hunters Guild, and it seemed that a person could keep a pretty steady flow of cash coming if he worked with them, taking jobs; thats what they did, they would take requests from some one who needed a task done and hold it until some one took the job. Then they would tell the person who would come and fill in the details to the person who had accpted the job, or quest. In the end if you completed it you would recieve an amount of money as the reward. I decided to check it out so the next morning I headed over to the Hunter's
Guild adn asked if I could join. They asked me what my hunter section I.D. was and i told them I didnt have one. Accourding to the lady I was talking to, it cost 1200 meseta to get a section I.D., so I knew that if i was going to do it i wouldnt be backing out. I decided to wait until the next day to get my section I.D., just to give myself time to give it some last bit of thought. The next day my mind hadnt changed and i set out to get my I.D. They assigned me a Pinkal section I.D., and gave me a saber, a frame, and 300 meseta. I had no idea what i was doing do i immediatly ran off to the guild and asked to see the Available Quests. I accpeted one that asked me to go down to the surface of Ragol and recover a lost weapon. I ran over to the teleport and headed down to forest one. About 10 minutes later i found myself in critical condition in the hospital. As i walked out of the Med. Center, still dizzy from my encounter with a group of gigoboomas,
I ran into, literaly, a Fomar about my size, dressed in a white robe.
He introduced himself as Arudin and asked about my recent adventure on Ragol. "Not too good," I told him and explained what had happened. "I dont know how many times I've heard that story,"he told me and continued," hey I'm about to leave on a Quest. If you feel up to it why dont you come with me?" didnt have any other plans so I agreed and together we headed back down to the area named Forest 1.
