View Full Version : Rant about my Cat

I just need to vent right now about my silly stupid cat. I am not sure what is up with her tonight. She is being really bad. She has went behind the TV set three times tonight and on the third time she did not come out when I told her to so I had to move the TV, scruff the cat and pull her out. It was painful for me and her since the TV is in an entertainment center and I had to contort myself to be able to grab her and move around the TV and I know she does not like being scruffed. After pulling her out. I accidentally stepped on one of my useless nic nacs that I moved off the TV to get the cat out that just happened to have a sharp edge and cut the bottom of my foot. I was really surprised that I did not break the nic nac.
I put something in front of the cat's entrance to the entertainment cabinet to prevent her from going behind it again. I really want to stick her in her travel cage tonight if she keeps being bad and the only reason I haven't is that she is really old. She is about 16.5 years old right now.
Well there is my useless rant for the night.

My Cat broke my computer desk. No kidding.
He climbed onto the pull out keyboard compartment as I was typing and it collapsed. (It's carefully balanced now.)
There's nothing more frightening than a fat cat falling onto your nuts with his claws out, I can tell you.

You've got it easy. Yesterday my cat left a giant dead rat on my back doorstep.
Don't worry about it being bad, it's gonna die soon anyway.

My cat was eaten by a coyote, and then my other cat was eaten by a coyote a year later. Stupid coyotes...

My kitty climbs onto the keyboard once in a while, (When it's actually being nice >>), doesn't bother me much though.
Anyway, you have three options:
1. You eat it
2. You wait til it dies of old age
3. Spank your kitty until he/she promises not to do it again.
I suggest number 2, I'm against animal abuse thank you

As far as catching rats and mice go Mimi (cat I was ranting about) actually kills them, shows them to us, and then disposes of them. She is really good about that one. My other cat (Cookie) brings partially dead rats and mice into the house. I always hate cleaning those up. She has no clue how to actually kill one and the only time she actually even makes an attempt to get a rat or mouse is when the Mimi has caught one.
I was playing my dreamcast one day and noticed Cookie in the kitchen staring at something, but the something was out of my view. I went into the kitchen and found a mouse that was running in circles and Cookie was just staring at it and making no effort to do anything with it. I did not want to kill the mouse myself, so I placed it in a box and let it go in a field that is not far from my house. I am sure some other predator probably got it, but at least I did not have to remove a dead mouse carcas.
I am sorry about the coyotes eating one person's kitties, that is really sad. Damned Coyotes!
This is also the first time, I have heard of a cat damaging a computer desk. That must be one tough cat. My cats are far too wussy for that feat. Mimi only weighs about 6 lbs, and Cookie about 4 lbs.
Mimi is normally a really good cat, she was just awful last night.

It happens when cats get old. Sad, but true.
My cat Patches used to kill field mice and rodents and rabbits and such and bring them to the house, call us out and offer us the plumpest, juiciest part of said dead animal. I've heard people say that they offer or leave the carcass as an expression of love. *shrugs* We would just tell her she did a good job then close the door. She'd eat the rest of the creature and come home later.
When I was little, my friend's cat busted her game of Myst. We were playing and the cat jumped up onto the keyboard. The whole computer froze up and we couldn't do anything. It sucked cause we were going to play the Simpons afterward.
Anyhow, good luck with your kitty. Get some cleaning agents and remove the scent from behind your entertainment centre, so that she doesn't go there again. In their old age, they often mistake accidents like that as their litter and continue to make messes.

I think my desk was weak anyway, hence it breaking under his fat belly. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Our other cat Poppy tends to catch frogs or slow worms and brings them into the house, lays them down in front of her and talks to them.
She doesn't harm them at all.
It's really quite sweet.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
As for cats bringing in animals as a sign of love, I've also heard that.
So when your cat brings in a bird or something, don't yell at them. They'll see it as a form of rejection.

My 2 cats bring in so many dead birds and lizards, its so disguisting. They don't even eat them, just kill them and drag them in the house. And then my parents make me throw it away but the garbage can is so far away that I just throw over our fence into our neighbors yard. Then their dog eats it.

Ditto. My cats maul pigeons, rats, and 3 lizards. Sometimes there were crickets, and I think they eat spiders. Cockroaches (!?!?!?) also spotted.

I found a baby snake our cats had brought in once. Poor little snake. :-/
We have one cat my dumb idiot mom has spoiled and now she expects to be given food whenever we have any sort of meat for dinner or lunch or breakfast... And of course mom gives it to her. 9_9 But she always comes to me. I fucking hate cat people. Such stupid idiots. Feed the goddamned cat cat food. If it doesn't eat it, TOO FUCKING BAD FOR IT.
Oh yeah. We also put out food for the stray cat and the next door neighbour's cat. -_-;
Cats can burn. Said spoiled cat also thinks it likes me and crawls all over me, stands in front of the monitor, and always returns to whatever annoying position it was in before I moved it when I pick it up and put it on the floor. It also tries to sleep with me. No fucking way. This damned thing kneads you for six hours, purrs like a fucking chainsaw and -drools-.
I FUCKING HATE CATS.
*bitchslaps Elly for being some kind of fucked-up catgirl, then huggles her and puts some ice on it* X_x;

Ian-KunX, I am sorry that you have had bad experiences with cats and that your mom has spoiled the cat in your household. I know spoiling a cat can ruin it and give them a complex. I do not hate any animals so it would be difficult for me to identify with that one, but to each their own.
Speaking of Hunting Cats, I had a Cat named Checkers when I was younger. He was a big black and white cat (over 20 lbs and mostly muscle). He would kill almost anything that moved. He even killed a dog once. He had a signature trademark when killing something too. He would decapitate it. We had no birds, squirrels, lizards, possums, or any other types of animals smaller than him in our backyard for years. After killing everything in our yard he would go to neighbor's home and kill things there. I watched him kill a possum once and the possum attempted to play dead and Checkers saw through his attempt at deception and killed it. We were picking up dead animal bodies everyday. He would kill at least one thing per day. If he was a human, he would have been a serial killer because he really enjoyed it. He never killed any other cats thankfully.
He killed a crow in a Silence of the Lambs style killing once. We had some old chickenwire in the backyard and Checkers decapitated a crow and then somehow wove it into the chickenwire with it's wings spread out. I am not sure how he did that, but he lead us to it's body and showed us his accomplishment. I am so thankful my two current cats do not do that.

Kiz: Actually, I hate dogs even more than I hate cats. I'm a fish person as far as liking animals go. But I'd rather have a nice, clean, quiet computer. *pets computer*

I am glad my cat finally got over her fascination with the back of the TV. All she is doing now is eating, sleeping, and shedding all over the furniture.
She is also being a heat leech and wanting to lay on me while I am using the computer too. It can be annoying, but playing behind the TV is worse.
I tried having fish and I ended up with crazy fish too. I had purchased six goldfish and within a few days all I had was two goldfish. The two ganged up on the other four fish and ate them.
We also had a murderous cockatiel that killed his mate by breaking her neck and when we found her body. He was singing a beautiful song and seemed so happy.
I just end up with the weird interesting animals I guess.
