View Full Version : Why are some of the Mods so angry?

Members are constantly threatened by the Moderators because of the irrelevant polls and threads that are posted. Why is that? I won't say too much because I know I'll be warned and this thread will be locked or moved.

Members aren't threatened, they're warned if they're posting in the wrong forum or making repeat threads.

And it's verbal warnings, not official warnings. If they keep repeating the same mistake, then they'll eventually get an official warning.

And please, like you're really going to get a warning for this thread, pffft. Being vague with allegations doesn't help either. It makes you sound like you're merely hinting at something that prolly isn't there.

That and it doesn't help anything if you aren't specific.

You are right, what I said was wrong and I apologize for it. I was just really bored and thought I'd stir something up. I'll just go back to playing my PSO now.

i woudltn be suprised if they are angry, coz some of the people are so fucking RUDE on this site. they work so hard and they get nothing for it. so you know, i think its understandable;and anyway, i think the mods do a great job, are extremely helpful and friendly and just deserve more than they get

Did abdur have to quote the original poster when he was the first one to reply? Oh wait... yes HE did.

It's my personal opinion that if you give respect to the Mods, they give respect back to you.

The first day I got onto this place, I recieved a warning for bumping and old thread, but because it was my first day, they FORGAVE me.

They're not mad at the people who do things right, just those who are stupid. At least, that's what I think.

"Hell hath no fury like a mod scorned"

as long as you're nice to them and don't try to stir things up, they can be your best friends

will there be juice boxes?

i see this tragically ending up in FK :S

also, if you do things right the mods will have no reason to get mad at you. I manage to walk a fine line with some of them. i dont break any rules..............mostly, im just a bit af an idiot sometimes :S
its when stupid people come along, and dig up threads that are at times 3-4 monts old, but its when a thread is clearly over and has been for the past 2 years that pushes them over the edge. I once considered bumpibng the first thread in Off topic, its on like the 1243rd page, or is that the members list, but its on a page many pages away. but i didnt do it seeing i knew id get banned straight away (this was recently, not like when i first joined).
anyway, if you play it nice and friendly, it should be plain sailing for as far as the eye can see, or until you get corrupted by the evils of fresh kills.........

well, i think the problem here is that people disobey the rules, and they must step in... i don't think they are mean or particularly harsh, considering what i have seen on other forums (don't worry mods, i only post here... i wouldn't cheat on you with another site). by the way, that section in the parentheses was a joke. a particularly corny one at that. anyhow, the first thing i did when i joined psow, was read the rules... ALL OF THEM! that way, i knew exactly what i could and could not do. read the rules, and i doubt you will have any problem... i don't.

Now that I think about it, i amazingly read the forum rules as well. Or I at least read the stuff that would apply to me. I must have thought some of the stuff wouldnt contention during my stay http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
But all the same i read a large section of it if not all, so im happy

...i myslef have had a mod angry at me. (if only for a few minutes) and that was a bad few minutes.

with that aside, i do believe that the mods are just people that got lucky and have a sense of the rules. i mean, i became an admin in Cstrike a few weeks ago, mainly because i knew what to do and whatnot.
but one thing that i have noticed is that when i'm around almost ALL conversation stops. it's like people fear the admins/mods. why fear them? just because they CAN unleash hellish powers that they are granted at the drop of a hat doesen't mean they WILL. i think that this fear of authority is what you people have. and yes, some mods DO have bad days. hell, i've permanently banned a couple of people when i had bad days. not to say that i didn't remove this ban later after i cooled down. so yeah, that was my little rant.

BTW: sup mods, u wanna go get a drink or something?

it's like people who installs software without reading the license agreement.
they're like, OPEN > OK > SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN > AGREE > SCROLL DOWN > AGREE > SCROLL DOWN > AGREE > INSTALL.
when the program crashes or something, they blame the writer.
