Any hotmail users out there noticing the spam is getting smarter?

What I mean by this, is that the spam no longer has jumbled subject lines and jumbled sender names. So, I could get a mail from 'John Smith' for example, with a very normal subject line, I'd check it to see if it might be something I should read. Instead, I find crap in there. I know about the filters and whatnot, but I still check my junk mail folder :l

Anybody else getting annoyed by this?

I don't get any, which is strange since I don't have any filters at all.

I think it's because I don't use hotmail to register for anything...

...or maybe even spam shuns me. ;_;

Seriously, last address I did get spam at, the spam actually did seem like a normal letter until I opened it. Eventually I remembered that no one mailed me and just started deleting everything I got. Worked well enough for me.

Yes. They hav gotten smarter. They sometimes pose as a RE: email from YOUR OWN hotmail address. The spam with my account got so bad, that I cancelled it and went to yahoo.

I noticed my spam has been turning 1337 with the subject, I get about 10 a day. My filters are useless now.

hmm..turn your junk mail filter to exclusive...and have no junk mail inbox, hopefully all crap mails will never reach your address.

Some of you misunderstood, or just didn't read what I wrote properly. I still check my junk mail folder, because I'm just curious if I do get something that I might need to look at. I get mails from all kinds of different people from different addresses - My "Safe List" on hotmail is fucking huge. I do have my junk mail filter to toss everything that isn't supposed to come my way into the junk folder.

Changing addresses never really worked for me, as I ended with just another account to check every so often. I now have 8 email accounts to check. Bleh.

I think there's someone with the same E-mail out there that's gotten sick of E-mailing me because I never trust anything that I didn't sign up for or from names I have never seen before. In fact, the E-mail from this guy has gone from reasonable topics to a jumble of words. Heh, it's as if the person's getting sick of E-mailing meghufyiauygfog...

Spam so smart, even my own e-mail provider spams me...that's both Yahoo! and Hotmail. Hotmail just bothers me twice a month. My dud Yahoo! account gets 600 Bulk (a.k.a. Junk) Mail a week, and it only takes up 25% of my space.

Spam: not just smarter, slimmer too.

This is exactly why I created a dummy e-mail address.

All you people have to do is set Hotmail to exclusive. 70 junkmail folder topics a week but no clogging. And I can get unlimited mail if you arent on my safelist.

The only spam I get in my regular hotmail account is from that stupid OOFUN or whatever. I don't even know why. I have another hotmail address, though and that's spammed to hell and back. It's like...sixty new messages a day.

My sister checks her spam folder, though. She's never sure if hotmail sent a real, legitimate letter into her spam folder or not, so she checks it out, then deletes it all. The amount of spam she gets is...quite a bit.

My old Yahoo! account was nothing but a spam accumulator. Stupid Yahoo!...
