Every now and then I dye my hair black.
(Helps me look older. Nothing more embarressing when people think your 15 when your 20!?) Long story.
I've heard the dye itself (Ecspecially black) is quite nasty to the skin and can severely irritate it. But I've had no problems with it until recently.
Last week, (Ironically the very day I started my new job) I woke up to find I had a large bright red sore rash across my forehead. Didn't think too much of it at the time.
Well over the days It's got sorer and sorer and I've found I now have a really really stupid amount of 'Dandruff' in my hair. And when I say stupid? I mean it's everywhere. It's just disgusting. I've washed my hair thoroughly over the last few days over and over (well not over the top, that can be bad for your hair too) and I still can't get rid of it. I've had it bad before but this is ridiculouse and also very embaressing. My Head itches like mad and I've noticed I now have a very sore rash behind both my ears and I'm frequently get headaches.
During the week I mentioned it to one of my co-workers.
Turned out they'd had the same problem at one time and discoverd it was because they'd died they're hair black.
It then clicked into place as I'd only done mine the week before.
I've now got this special medicinal cream to rub on my forehead and behind the ears.
Thing is, I'm supposed to apply it to my skin 2-3 times a day. But when your working in a busy, hot, sweaty shop I found that when I sweat it tends to get into my eyes and irritates them immensely.
So obviousely I'm not feeling very good, am having trouble sleeping as my head is driving me mad and have started a full time job, whilst still trying to make a good impression! (>.<)
Never gonna dye my hair again. (Well black at least)
If it's not any better by next week, I'm going back to the doctors.
