*removes hand from forehead after gathering bearings*
I just came from my main forum's FFXI page...
Some idiot just called the Tarutaru race "Tartars".
Wait for it...wait for it...
HOW IN THE FUCK DO YOU GET THE DAMN NAME WRONG IF YOU'RE EXPOSED TO THE FRIGGIN' GAME FOR HOURS!? HUH?!
I'll gladly give kudos if you're that little kid who tries to do things phou-eh-neh-tick-cull-lee, but COME ON! That wasn't even trying...
I'm...going...to go DDR now... *runs into wall on the way out*

Uhhh example?
Anyways, I don't know about your tartars guy, but he may just have read the name a few times when he played the gave and never bother to look at the spelling again, simply recognizing the name and moving on.

My god, you're right. It should've been a spelling rant.

the problem with spelling like that is that if you are mispronouncing it, you won't spell it right. ENUNCIATION PEOPLE! go ahead and say "warsh", i don't care... just as long as you can spell it.

People spell a lot of PSO monsters/characters/etc wrong, too. HUneweaearl! Tallow!
As long as they know what it is, I don't really care how they spell it.

I don't care. Just don't make punctuation typos. Like ex. placing a comma in the wrong place of a contraction. Those are hard to read for me.

Don't take things too seriously. Many of the people on here are kids and they've yet to be properly educated.

But, apparently, not, for anyone, else. So, since, you seem to, be the minority, haha, sucks for, you.

Dime, haven't you got anything better to do?
All you seem to do here is try and act like a bad boy on the net when in reality you're just a quiet, anti-social little boy.
Give it up and just be yourself for once, yeah?
Back on topic.
I don't mind if a person doesn't know how to use punctuation properly as long as they spell their words correctly in order to make their posts readable to anybody viewing it. I can't really read words that isn't spelt properly.

I have an issue with grammar only when somebody is insulting another group ignorantly... the Yahoo! message boards is a prime example. I frequent them only when I know a big news article is going on. The latest two I went on was the Terri Schuavo and the Massachusettes gay marriage ruling. Tons of idiots.
I especially love the people who say all of the derragotry stuff, all of the discriminatory, stereotypical insulting phrases and then preach that religion is the way to all life. Especially when they phrase their words and thoughts that only a little kid could, with no punctuation, common sense or spelling/grammar checking at all.
If thats so, I thought religion preached fairness, acceptance and kindness, rather then hatred and bigotry?

I wouldn't imagine the best and the brightest to post, or even visit there (er, except for you! hahaha...). Your expectations are obviously too high.

It does, but people suck, they'll use any excuse to get their own views across. "Salvation for all, except for this group!" Great.
It doesn't hurt to look at an issue from both sides sometimes, y'know? Think for yourself instead of getting all your answers from some "divine source", if you're going to follow the principles in the Bible (or any other holy book) then follow all of them (including "Judge not, lest ye be judged" and other such sayings).

You can easily get Tartar from Tarutaru! In Japanese you usually don't pronounce the u/i's.
Like the character Ash, his name in Katakana is Asyu(ashyu), but you don't pronounce the 'u' thus Ash.
Thus the person might be from Japan and spell it out in English phonetically, thus Tartar.

I feel it was a common mistake, half the time I would bring up something in v2 when I first started playing I screwed up it's name and my friend would correct me and I was on DC since day one. It's just I never really cared to try and learn every name of every item or creature.

Yeah, I'm gonna be a Tartar when I get FFXI.
