Ok, maybe I'm a little slow, but what the heck is the deal with red ringo rico? Yeah obviously Dark Falz took her as a host, because she flies up at you in the end, but than you go back to the ship, and the secretary is still whining. What the hell? Yeah, the game has no real story line, but dam thats what they have you working up to. Is she alive when she comes out of Dark Falz? Can we get a thank you? I'm a underappreciated ranger at the end of the game. And just like the previous games, the principal is a cheap bastard. They could have patched up the lack of a story line with a pre-rendered ending, or at least Red Ring Rico smiling at you so you know whats going on.

Breezblok, it's all about Phantasy Star Online v2. There's a new difficulty level (Ultimate), and you can level up to 200.

Newbie?! Grr.......why I oughtta......

Anyway, I did know about v2, I just didn't know there was an 'ultimate' difficulty in it. I've posted a lot more than some, anyways, so I'm not that much of a newbie. I also suggest you take that back, before I get really mad, and....and.....well........look cool for a few seconds and then get beat up. (Anyone who knows me well will know that that's what I do when I get mad).

Red Ring Rico is overrated.

Also Ultimate is not a difficulty. Its a new mode only for version 2. It has two new levels and the old levels are updated with a new look and monsters. You can only find new items in this mode, and version 1 members can not play in this mode. Ultimate mode includes normal, hard, and very hard difficulties as well.

lmao, sorry i just had too lol. the opurtunity was screeming my name lol.

And are you sure that Ultimate mode will only feature normal, hard, and Vhard? I find that a little.....un-realistic.... everyone must know the pain it was to reach 100,000 mosre exp till lv 100. and i dont fell like goin up 120,000 more exp just to get to lv 101 in Vhard mode! I think there will be more Modes other then Vhard... maybe ultimate mode is a mode, and a Level mode like Hard, Vhard, ect...

Nononono . . What he's saying is that people who have version 1 cannot play Ultimate mode with version 2 people. However, version 2 people can play with version 1 characters. (Not with their new weapons of course.) According to the Japanese site and English translations, you can use your old characters in version 2. And, like I just said, version 2 players can play with version 1 characters. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif It's backwards compatible. This means that since Europe will not get the upgrade, they will be unable to journey with us into Ultimate mode. However, we can still journey with them. (Assuming America does get version 2 since all the hype says we're going to get it . . still haven't read anything offical though.)

Hey Parable. From what I read off your post, it seems you have only beaten the game online. If you beat the game in offline mode, you'll get a little more. Basically you'll get the credits with neat pictures of your character in different situations and poses. You won't get to return to town and never find out what happens to Red Ring Rico, but oh well.

i remember i could never beat that stupid Hunters' Guild quest, so after beating every difficulty level, i went back and beat it up at lvl 60!
o ya, ON NORMAL MODE!!!!!!!hahahaha

Yeah, i've beaten it offline too. And those pictures are a cheap substitute for an ending. Those shots never even happened for Gods sake. They could have at least took in game pics like the ones we can take and store on the vmu.

Cube: I'm not sure about the difficulty thing. Here are a few ideas of how it would work.
1.Ultimate mode might only be for people over level 100. Where Normal is level 100-120, Hard is level 120-140, and Very Hard is level 140-200. Version 2 might force you to play the regualr version 1 mode untill your 100, then you can move on to ultimate.
2. Two versions of Ultimate mode. The 1-100 level mode and the 100-200 level mode, each with the 3 difficulty settings.
3. Instead of needing 50,000+ exp when your level 100 in ultimate mode, you might only need 50. Think of it as starting over, but instead of starting off at level 1,you start of at level 100(This does not mean that if you start a new character in Version 2, he will start off at level 100). In Ultimate mode in normal, you would get 5 exp from each monster. This would be like starting from level 1. To get to 100-101 you would need a small amount of exp instead of a large amount. You would level up quickly, just like you do when you first start. So in Very Hard ultimate mode, you will still get 40+ exp not 400+. Sorry If I'm losing you here(I'm even losing my self), but the exp requirments for level 200 would be like having two characters and getting them both to 100.

hi everyone are they actualy gona release PSO V2 like eva in US and EU?

Glider

I think a US release is likely, but a EU release looks slim. You could always import because of the 5 languages thougth. It should all be annouced at E3.

Nooooo!! I was really looking forward to leveling up Flea to 200 ;-; Now I'll have to make a new Flea! But maybe the characters will be a bit more customizable so I can make him look truer to the original Flea... Why am I babbling like this?!! Rico actually looked kinda spiffy, despite that like 1 second view of her we get. Nice shoes.

Ummmmm...i guess nobody cares about rico huh...hehe.
I figured out what happened to her. If u notice in the ending, one of the last shots they show is the secretary consoling the principle..........Rico is dead http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_frown.gif sorry rico fans.

Sorry if i'm saying something that has already been said, but i never looked through all 3 pages cuz i'm in a hurry.

I just beat Dark Falz on hard mode now.. and all i saw was Rico flying up.. that's it.

Is the Vhard ending the same?
If it is, i guess that Sega wanted to save some of the details for further games like ver.2 and PSO 2.
I both like it and dislike it. I want to know more about Rico cuz she is a big part of the storyline. But the same time i get happy that i have to wait to find out..

So let us breath deeply and wait for further Rico information in PSO games to come......

(Off to Very Hard offline mode and see y'all in online mode)

Yep.. most serial games are like that, but not all have these serious cliffhangers. For those who have played Shenmue you know about those kinda "WTF?!"-type cliffhangers. Let's just hope sequels for games like Shenmue and PSO are worth the wait.

So we can found what's going with Ryo and Nozomi.... errr... I mean find out the story regarding Red Ring Rico.

Yeah shenmue pissed me off!!! But they do show the pricipal being consoled. I saw it after beating hard. After all those shots of you and your mag, than they show the people from the shops, than they show the principal sitting down with his and on his head, and his secretary with her hand on his shoulder. I guess u just gotta pay close attention.
