ive been a loyal fan of the Simpsons for years. and i think the magic is gone, i no longer find it funny. please matt, make this season the last for the sake of ur show. go out on a high note like david robinson, instead of a low like mj. the show is great, and id like it to remain that way in my mind. the shows in sindacation r still funny, and u can make a killing off the rights, so please end it now.

Id have to agree with you. The Simpsons has been going slowly down hill for years, up to the point where ive stopped watching the new episodes. Matt Groening should just finish it off now and go and work on somethign else.

And i hope they dont go through with the idea for a Simpsons movie. Last thing i heard about it was the story was going to be of Bart loosing his vaginity. That just sounds wrong.

And don't forget Futurama, too. Matt Groening's new cartoon series is rubbish.

You have described how I felt about 7 years ago. I started watching only the reruns. Eventually thw whoel show was boring to me. I do want to play the Simpsons GTA style game though.

David Robinson did go out in style didn't he? Like John Elway. And Ricky Henderson.....maybe not.

The Simpsons "Jumped the Shark" many years ago. The writing quality has significantly declined over the past few seasons. Matt Groening actually tried to end the show several years ago, but Fox refused to allow it and would have continued to produce the show whether Groening was involved or not and he would have lost all creative control in the show's production. He did not want Fox to completely destroy his creation so he stayed on.

I do not care what anybody says. I really enjoyed Futurama and stupid Fox cancelled it and kept the Simpsons.

If you want to know what "Jumped the Shark" refers to check this out http://www.jumptheshark.com. This is a great site about when a TV show has hit it's peak and at that point has only went downhill.

I liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and even though most episodes were good, they went downhill once they killed Tara. Compared to the rest of the seasons, season 7 wasn't that great compared to season one or two.. and with the various episodes I've seen throughout the rest of the seasons.

I like the Simpsons, I don't watch it enough to get sick of it, so whenever I do see an episode I typically laugh!

I watched Buffy from the first episode until the end and I agree that I did not like it when they killed Tara. Tara was a great character and that was the first and only episode where her name appeared in the main credits. Killing Tara was the only way to make Willow completely lose it and become evil and that was the direction Joss Whedon wanted to take with the show. He also wanted the normal guy (Xander) to save the world instead of the hero.

I personally enjoyed season 7 of Buffy. It showed the show going full circle by bringing back an enemy from the first season.

Now Angel's 3rd season was really bad. The Jasmine episodes just seemed to drag on forever. Cordy being evil just does not work for me and was poorly written. Is it possible for someone to really be as stupid and naive as Connor? I am glad this season has been much better.

Actually, with how season 7 was, they should have killed Willow instead of Tara. Tara was my favorite character, and I almost cried when I saw her die. It was such a cheap death, too.

"I don't think I can do it Buffy!"
"You can Willow, just focus!"
"I can't!"

(Insert comment about Dawn's whining relating to willow's attitude here.)

Under Your Spell/Wish I Could Stay (Reprise)
All by memory!
I'm under your spell
God how can this be, playing with my memory
You know I've been through hell
Willow don't you see, there'll be nothing left of me you made, me believe

Believe me I don't wanna go,
it hurts me dearly cause I love you so,
but we both know...

I wish I could...
(Tara) Trust that it was just this once but I must do what I must
I can't adjust to this disgust with Dawn

(Giles) Say the right words, to lead you through this land
Wish I could play the father, and take you by the hand

And I just wish I could stay, yeah eah yeah ah,
Wish I could stay, yeah eah yeah ah,
Wish I could stay yeah eh,
Wish I could... stay.
