Can I please be an exception?

I actually still play PSO now and then, and have made a mistake by helping others 900+ times, or doing other stuff. I have read more http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/spam.gif than most of you (not all though); I actually read and condensed the whole Ended Theory Thread (wasted a weekend, and SJS topics still show up). Also, if not for me, there wouldn't be as much http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/spam.gif to read here (organizer of the A-DTPA).

I think I must apologize.
Things have not been going so well for me as of late.
And what I said by off-topic nonworthies, I think I meant in a different way, it just didn't come across right.

I meant more of the threads FROM off topic that are just pure nonsense, and I meant more of the influx of FKL "spammers" who don't know the true old meaning of FKL. I never meant older FKL goers like yourself, Monomate, or anyone else for that matter who has done their due in FKL.

As for the badge. I would have worn it, if it was out a few months ago. And I'd do it in good fun, too, and be proud, if not in a good fun way.

But it being released now has just made it lose its affect, at least for me, since most anyone who decides they deserve it can just take it, when they don't know the true meaning of FKL (sort of like the true meaning of Christmas).

Sorry for my unclear statements... I'm not doing so well at the moment...

I don't want to be a bad guy. Honest.

Otherwise, and good idea coming up amongst the mass of new threads could be overlooked with the initial reation of it being worthless.

I do know that diversity is what makes any good meeting of minds worth the time. I believe that the reason FK is flagging so badly, is because no one posts anything they expect not to be jacked instantly. The brainless posts make, and destroy Fresh Kills... vicious cycles suck...

Did FK ever revive? I remember being there for the end...and i left when it was still in piss-poor shape from 'dying'...but...i came back and..well...things were not much better than when i left...the DTPA and A-DTPA were WAY out of hand, and a whole host of people had gone MIA...(Asuka, Mimicr, Gestiv, VolOpt...)

Now, it's worse than when I left, there're too many newbs who just spam for the sake of spamming (there's a certain...art...to spamming...) and now Uncle is gone...

The only thing i can find that's better than when i left is that there's no Little Timmy, and we're not censored quite so much...

so...after all this depressing news...how are we going to return FKL to its former glory?

suggestions?

edit: a lot of ppl back then pointed to mimicr as the cause of FKLs problems...but the only thing he did was post at insane speeds...he was mostly intelligible. now however, DOG21313 and KaFKa are spamming stupid and random topics as a joint 'mimicr mimic' effort...difference is, they're spam is just spam...mimicr's spam was intelligible...

I have made one-two topics the whole time I've ever been in FKL. Dont go around blaming it on new people, just because you cant accept the fact that its not us.

In my opinion, serious topics are the downfall of this place. I came just before you got back, and didnt post much at that time. You said it was already falling apart when you got back. Dont blame it on new people, especially when your posts are more of flames that belong in rants.

now i feel like mixfortune lol...

that wasn't aimed at KaFKa of DOG21313...that was more aimed at the people who were accusing mimicr of ruining FKL, yet who were now sitting by and saying nothing whilst the two of you basically did the same thing. It was sort of in defense of mimicr. Anyway, I didn't blame mimicr for FKLs condition nor do i blame you two...it's just that FKL has gone to hell in a handbasket and yalls senseless threads aren't helping...mimicr's threads didn't help either, but once people blamed him for ruining FKL he chilled out and got semi-serious, and actually helped FKL to revive some. You guys need to chill out a little and start taking FKL more seriously otherwise we won't want you here...spam is ok...that's what FKL is here for...but senseless spam is...senseless...

Another thing we need to revive FKL is new blood. That's a problem...what have we here? Vets like myself and Allos...and then KaFKa and DOG21313...we need newbies! Unfortunately whenever a newbie comes, they aren't FKL worthy...they spam nonsense...and are immediately raped by us veterans...we're stagnating because we have no-one to carry on the traditions of FKL...the future of FKL depends on a new generation of Fresh Killers...unfortunately we can't find a worthy generation...i guess i could go and do what i used to...go to The Lounge and recruit...

Anyways, i'm sorry if i offended youse guys...but...yall needs ta tone it down a little and take it a little more seriously...here's the catch...and the hardest trick to learn...ya've gotta take it seriously, but keep the mood light at the same time...difficult...especially now...everybody on PSOW is tense...it's weird...and all this stuff about ruining FKL and mixfortune going off, and me going off, and DOG21313 and KaFKa getting ticked...and Uncle leaving...it's sort of crushing the mood...we need to lighten up a bit...

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

After reading your post, it seems to be that it's a mix of what people take seriously and don't take seriously on FKL. It is true that you seemed to reappear at the top of a long slope, but that's just bad timing. The DTPA seemed in some ways a revival of the traditional FKL way, but the ADTPA's entry seemed to turn it into a cross-FKL bloodbath of "legality" and just plain overused terminology. That doesn't mean ADTPA is to blame, either... there is no way I would have expected that they would know it could cause such a backlash. Unfortunately it just turned out that way.

Now if only Johnny would post more... I think that right now he seems like a good "successor" to the FKL ways. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT- Perhaps the mod presence kept FKL from bottoming out all this time? That may be something to consider... that in addition to a schism in the views of what should and should not be taken seriously (when is sarcasm sarcasm, and etc.)

Selective memories ahoy, captain! No difference, spam is spam.

I actually do remember mimicr's threads/posts. He did make senseless spam, BUT he also added his own opinions (eg. sensical comments) to every topic that was aimed at a point... That, and his senseless stuff never really left the area of sugar and smilies. For this reason, everyone knew him as mimicr. Hate him or not, at least he had his own personality (despite the copying of sigs). since everyones randomness is so similar (oxymoron?), none of it stands out.

All i know is that everyone had a shtick. Dime had his sarcasm-laden humor, Obscenity had his mom jokes, _J was an ass, Monomate was a stalker, and bob had his... bobness...
