Have you ever tried cheating?

I, personally,believe cheating is wrong. But, I know how do some stuff and have tried it out just to see if it works and what happens.

I have
multi equipped, duped, and accepted hacked items from people online. I never use any of that to affect my actually serious playing of PSO though.

I'm just wondering, have you ever cheated just to see what it was like?

yup, tried the shop-glitch once, just to see what it looked like. It looked weird. I duped a handgun to see it through all the way.
Haven't done anything else with it, like multi-equip or anything. Probably looks pretty much the same.
Never had any desire to try hacked stuff, except for the dark weapons that helped me see Rico. However, that was when I didn't know they were hacks. When I found out I dumped'em. And now the rumour of the release of the Flow gene is there, I think I'm gonna try for it with my friends. Already collecting the red weapons to do it. 3 out of 7 so far...

On DC I had a GameShark and did just about every type of item h4x0r1ng there was. In fact, on V1 I corrupted like 10 times or more by accidentally picking up more than 30 items http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Plus I PKed Kireek. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif (never real people, though)

On GC I've multiequipped to take funny pictures and make such amazing weapons as "Sange & Lavis Cannon," but I don't think I've ever killed an enemy while multiequipping. I also collect weird hacks, like those messed up mags. I also keep a 35D Heaven Punisher, which is a personal favorite of mine.

On V1 I hacked and duped a lot but on V2 I had already sold my GameShark so I just mooched off other cheaters. Now on GC I multiequip and what not mostly because I find looking at how the game works to be interesting. Other than that I pretty much only use what I have found, although most of my best stuff has come from Celisse http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Satan will be buying ice skates before you see me charging through Ruins with 29 TJ-Swords equipped.

I multi-equipped to take a picture of my fantasy weapon, Wind Milla. Other than that picture keepsake, though, I've always been too lazy to bother with cheating.

Yeah, on DC I did the 2 person dupe trick. Used GC and gc'd items.
Did'nt play v2 long enough to cheat but you never know, I plan on coming back.

I duped and accepted dupes since day 1 dc version and now on GC. Ive also always kept legit characters since day 1 dc version... I know the shop lady well hehe.. ive also tried the multiequip..

things ive never cared to try or will try are gameshark, pk, ck, maxing stats, hacked mags, AR, or anything that hurts other people.. despised pking and cking on dc..

I never cheated when I played on version 1 on DC. I played completely offline. I did not even know how to cheat at that time nor did I really want to.

I now play on Xbox far more frequently than I ever played on DC. I use an action replay primarily for backing up rare items and placing them on my storage characters. I also have duped photon drops and grinders and gave them to people who needed them. I do actually find enough photon drops and grinders to accomodate myself easily, but I also want to help others out as well. I have also backed up for friends that feel their Xbox's pending demise is near so that they can keep their items and not have to completely start over.

I have never hacked any weapons myself, but I have accepted them from other people (mostly for item collecting and to look at the various weapons available on the game) I do not use hacked weapons when I am playing with other people, but I have used a hacked flight fan to level more quickly in an endless nightmare quest when I am by myself.

I have never multiquipped and I am not even really sure what that is. Based on what I am reading here it is using some type of cheat to equip two weapons at once. I can see wanting to do this for pictures, but I would not play with others that way.

Yeah,"cheat"ing can be fun to try it out and look at stuff. Especialy the multi equip that just...makes some very neat combonations. The way I see it, just use your imagination, make up your own stuff...but not ridiculosly strong, the normal weapons look really cool when mixed. making new colors and stuff.

Also I heard about some new aura fields, multiple colors or something. Those would be very fun as well.

Back on topic, I cheat.
No, I'm not hiding it.
I take pride in the fact that I play the game how I like: have lots of fun regardless of the actions (or indeed the consequences). Legits, don't be afraid to look me in the eyes openly, for I do try to fit into any sort of team wherever possible. (Even when it boils down to trading legitimately; trust me, I'm not all bad.)
On the subject of multiequipping, I find that it's quite possible to swing a gun, but I won't say how. I even made a Berdysh swing one-handed, and also fired a handgun bullet from the top of an Imperial Pick.

offline, I have a third memory card with all sorts of weird this and thats. only the weird lookin' ones, hacked novelty thingies, and whsatnot. Mostly the mags, 100% hits, offline C-mode stuff (I'll never get those, nobody to play cmode offline with)

I cheated in the DC version. Mostly just the non-directly harmful stuff like Walk Thru Walls, God of Equip, Item Creation, Inf Items, and things like that. I remember there was this neat one that was kinda like multiequipping in where you equipped two items over each other. Instead of boosting your stats tho, it messed up the Texture maps. You could equip like.. an Opa Opa mag in your weapon slot and then equip like a Rifle. The results were pretty random, but sometimes you got cool effects like a Opa Opa Gun, or a Rifle that shot Opa Opas. Things like that. I only PK'd once.. just to see if I could get a RAcaseal to Resta PK.

This time around I'm pretty much a streight arrow. I know how to do most of the major cheats (Innate curiosity) but aside from the very VERY ocassional dupe for back-up purposes, I don't cheat. I had really hoped this version wouldn't have many cheats.. That didn't turn out to be the case though.. so should PK, CK, or any of that other stuff come back around - I'll probably end up doing it.

The way I see it.. I payed to play the game as it was intended. Others have, largely, taken that away from me. It's nearly impossible to find an open game without cheats. Others cheated.. because they felt the desire to just take what they wanted from the game regardless of how it affected other players. I'll simply take what I want from them.. regardless of how it affects them.

PSO has been a dead game for me for a long time.. and I rarely play anymore lately. Is it childish for me to do so? Yes. Petty? Yes. Lame? Yes. Stupid..? Yes.

But at this point, I really don't give a fuck anymore.

I probely would have cheated if i had certain codes eg one so i can move my best character from a memory card that isn't official to one that is so i could use him online if circumstances change but if i had the lvl 200 code i would probely make a character and see what it was like because i've heard that it's quite funny.
