Greetings everyone. I am having a SERIOUS problem getting the Broadband Passport file from the PSO mirror sites to burn onto my CD-RW. Granted, I have only tried the Nero version not the Disk Juggler but after many many failed attempts to burn the image, my Dreamcast still does not recognize the disk and I just don't have the patience to try the Disk Juggler (nor do I know where to download the program).

I spent all weekend working on this thing, to no avail. I posted a thread earlier asking for help on this, but no one was able to offer any advice on how to do this. So, I figure now the only way to do this is to ask a favor of those fortunate enough to have succesfully adapted the BBA to work with PSO.

Basically, I would like to request that someone who has made a successful image of the BBP file onto disk send me a copy in the mail. I will gladly pay you in advance any shipping charges you will incur. I know there are people out there who have gotten this to work. I have read your posts. Can one of you please contact me via my PSO account mail, or simply post to this thread. I hope someone out there can help. I'm at wits end with this thing and I would love to get online and play with all of you. Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, I guess I can try to help. I don't know anything about getting the Broadband adapter to work with PSO, but I've gotten the modem-modem method of using broadband to work. Check out this site:

http://home.elp.rr.com/terlouw/DCWinMEServer.htm

It shows how to connect a standard DC (with a standard modem) directly to a PC's modem (the PC is connected by broadband to the Internet). The DC is fooled into thinking it's dialing into an ISP.

It works great! The best thing about it is that only one IP address is used by both the PC and the DC at the same time. The PC routes packets related to PSO to the DC.

Thank you MechDan. I read through this FAQ and it looks great. However, I paid 70 bucks for that damn broadband adapter and I would like to use it. But, if no one can help me get that working, I will definitely resort to the method you pointed me to.

I really wish that sega would have realized that some people only have 1 phone line and pay for a broadband internet connection to avoid tying up their phone line. I really don't feel like paying for a second line just to play my Dreamcast online <sigh>

If anyone can help, once again, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.
