I could care less if a banned member comes back to PSO-World, as I probably wouldn't realize that a former username of theirs was banned.

But what is with all the threads about people advertising that their back, or along the sort? http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=72039&forum=9&1

Are people that slow to realize that they'd get banned, or do they do it on purpose just to get the mods ticked off? I vote the former for some reason.

Heh, yeah, it seems pretty dumb to re-join with the same sig, same avatar, and say "Wooo, I'm back!!1 Ph34r!1"...

I suppose they do it just to get "even" with the mods who banned them...

Hell, if (yeah, right http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif) I ever do something stupid enough that gets me banned, I'll rejoin...but be a whole new person. Different Ideas, different chars logged in, hell different everything...

Of course, I like the screename Eihwaz too much to do something to get banned...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

EDIT: Ha, answerman, I have higher post count. Ph34r! XD

<_< You are teh pwned.

Well sometimes they come back and "hide" to get back into the community that they were kicked out of(sort of like the people who get removed from parties because they were getting too feely-touchy?), then there are those who caused a riot on their exit, and come back just to start crap(and act as if they own the place), such as spouting everything offensive and immature that they can, at anyone who tries to tell them that what they're doing is childish and stupid.

...then there are those who come back and get caught almost immediately and are swiftly given the boot all over again.

What I want to know is, since when did a site take the forefront of someone's life that they go through all of the above? I mean, shit, there are plenty of PSO sites, and plenty of other things to do with your time.

If you're that bored, I'm sure you can go clean your house or do community service and get quite abit more feeling of achievement, right?

Abdur some people are just strange and have no life so they spend their time antagonizing others.

I don't understand it either.

I know that, but it's just funny to think about anyway.

Ah well, some people I guess.

Well, truthfully, I think it's kinda lame that you reban somebody that got banned before. As long as they don't do anything questionable, why worry about banning them again?

Because if they did something to get banned in the first place and did'nt follow the rules, they should'nt get a second chance. We give ample verbal and official warnings before someone gets banned, if they can't heed that, then too bad.

If only these forums had the rules of the DTPA forums. You mods would cringe at the foulness of ours.

I donated blood yesterday for the Red Cross, and the lady missed the vein on the first try. (This was my 4th time donating.) It was one of the more painful experiences I've ever had in recent months... fun fun!

She looked all sad and depressed and tried to cheer me up by offering me a glass of water. I cheered up though (I tried my best with the pain) and casually said no and I tried to strike up somewhat of a conversation with her to make her feel not so bad. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I am way too terrified to give blood even though I know it is a nice thing to do. I have issues with doctors, hospitals, and things being poked into my skin.

I tried to be a good person and do it once and I made it there and chickened out. I have volunteered at blood drives and did the administrative type duties, but that was as far as I could go.

Answerman you did a good thing.

When I looked here Answerman and Eiwaz had the same post count.

Keep going Abdur! Someday you'll reach post 10000 and I'll hold a big freakin celebration in your honor!

And to all mods, What happens if someone has two warnings and then does something beneficial to the site i.e. points out error in database or stops a fight?

Sacrilege, dude, that's just plain sacrilege! Trying to stop a fight - which is both funny and entertaining to watch - should result in TWO warnings!!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm not allowed to give blood--I don't weigh enough.

As for banning, I don't see why people can't have a second chance. They may come back better than before. And if they don't, it isn't that hard to ban them again.

It sounds like a good idea, but the first account already got it's 'three chances' ...If said person gets another three chances, and screws that up, there's 6 offences ... -_- I doubt people are that forgiving ... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

What about people with MPD, aren't they technically different people? Heh, heh... I had a huge argument with somebody about how many religions there really are... that person said many, but not an infinate amount. I stated what every person believes in is different, thus a variation of a religion and that people with MPD (multiple-personality disorder) bring that total amount of religion variants to infinite. Of course I was joking, but I wanted to bring MPD up again. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Though that is honestly the best point about reinstating the membership. Then again, if that person did learn something, he wouldn't bring up his past.

Question to mods: If somebody was banned, and like 6 months later he rejoined, and for about two to three months or so (racking up tons of posts, not causing any problems, courteous, etc. and the like) and he revealed he was once banned before, would you ban the person even though there was possibly a major change personality wise (and that he didn't cause any problems on the board at all once he joined with his new name), or would you spare 'em? I'm guessing the ladder... but ya never know.

I made a correction for you. Don't forget the "h". http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Sadly, answerman has passed me...he has about 3 more posts than me...

If Abdur ever hits 10,000 posts, I don't know whether he should laugh or cry. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Barubary is using only one active account. And that question should be directed to the people in charge before us.

They're different personalities not different people. And it's actually Dissociative Identity Disorder now. Maybe we can ask Lollipop, people love saying she has multiple personalities even though she doesn't.

We have to be fair and consistent no matter what. So be intelligent and don't make it obvious.

i would really love to know how or why people think i have MPD. i would really love it if people could stop being so ignorant to things and actually know what they are talking about before they open there mouths.
