View Full Version : Why do people stereotype Forces so?

Ok, for those of you that know me, I'm a FOnewm! It seems a Force character is very unappreciated in the game, but hello, we're you're back up, lol! I try not to sit back with my Holy Ray and peg off monsters from afar. And contary to popular belief, not allot of Forces do. I try to go head-to-head with them in melee combat, and most of the time I'm successful, unless I get hit, then I run off to heal and dive right back in! Forces aren't these little guys that are afraid of getting hurt, I know I'm not! I know some of you hate Forces that engage in melee combat, but we're tuff to, we just don't have a high HP like most of you. So, Forces unite, if you're a Force that doesn't stick to traditional Force methods post here and give us all a piece of your mind.
WE CAN HOLD OUR OWN!!!

Who doesn't appreciate forces? I love running around with a force behind me. They're all helpful and stuff.

Wait a minute.. not all forces have big behinds. LOL. The FOnewm's attire seem to show that they do. As for female forces, you can make have big behinds. heh. But I think the FOnewm are the only ones, of the forces, whose attire make it appear they have big behinds.
I like using melee and ranger attacks with my FOnewm, depending on the level or situation. But there seems to be a select number of force weapons that can do the trick, even melee attacks.

Hey, being a HUcast, forces are my best friend. Unless they rarely cast resta, and I end up using all my Moon and Star Atomizers to support *them*. Then they're just a drain on the team.
Though forces that play like that usually tend to be lamers, so I don't pay them much attention anyway

What is "traditional" methods? I have a hunter, force and ranger character. I try as best I can to play each one as a different class (they are far to similar). My hunter only use hand-to-hand weapons, my ranger is guns-only and my force is magic-only (with frying pan of course http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif). Thats the way I choose to play them. I wade into the middle of battle with my force character but I attack with magic-only. I love seeing "Ninja-force" people, its cool to see someone elses take on how to play that particular type of class.
Yes force characters can definately hold there own!
Btw, I find that the force class is the most fun to play.

i love my force and playing with other force char.. i mean very little hp,def, atk you die alot and nothing is more fun then the massive amounts of pain you suffer durring dark falz its great... haha i want to get on now and play an all force game ha! we who are about to die
hu hu, forces run funny. It makes me crack up all the time... But what i can say is that Jay is a very dependable and cool force to play with, hes not like some of those forces who barley use resta, and "forget" to cast shifta and all that good stuff when needed.
But i also think that HUcast dont get the atention they deserve either. I had to prove gambit wrong that HUcasts are the best Hunters available, and all he kept saying was...."whats your tp again?" ARg!

I dont see why everyone says about how weak forces are. I can do as much, if not more, damage as people up to 20 lvls higher than me. Think of it, about 200 damage to one monster with rafoi, now multiply that by 20. Sure, our hp is so low its laughable, but its not like forces are really gonna go up into the fray and fight it out melee anyways.

Very true, Forces are not the only class/characters to get a lot of flak, androids (Hucasts, Racasts, and Racaseals) dissed a lot too. Lack of techs has never been a hindrance to me.
Back to the subject, yes, I play my Fomarl like if she was my Hucast. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif

Heh.
When I play as Lucca, I go all gung ho! I run around shooting my Varista, all the while tossing a few Rafoie/Rabarta/Razonde spells around. And I always, ALWAYS heal peeps that are hurting.
Forces really are fun. ^_^

"Of course, VHard is a drag.. but I'll be strong enough to survive...someday.."
I think my Force is alot stronger then other level 100 Forces. I spent so much time getting her good items and using materials. And even after i reached level 100 i kept playing to make her better. I can pratically play as a Hunter and Force at the same time thats how strong I am. My atp is maxed with certain weapons like a hunters and my def is over 600 with deband. every1 of my stats are maxed except for my Defense inside which im trying to get more Defense Materials. I hate people that dont understand how forces are used. I see stupid Forces casting 1 attack and standing back while every1 is getting hurt. I feel lke telling them something they make us look bad. If you play with some of my friends or me who know how Forces are used and see how strong we are cause we spent so much time on them your opinion would change.
Hell man I cast resta all the time. Even if it's not necessary. Thats the fun of being a force, helping others and killing mass amounts of creatures with a couple of zaps.

The reason that most dont understand forces is because theyve never created one. When this game first came out,all i read was that the force was a character that required an experienced gamer in order to get the most out of this strange choice.Being that i work in the industry and do one hell of a lot of gaming because of it,i knew that there would be no other choice BUT a force for me and ive NEVER regretted it.If you decide to become a force you Must accept the fact that you have a specific job to do, and that is to lend support to the other team members. This is not a character for people who are all for themselves only and there seem to be WAY too many of that type of gamer out there in the pso universe. Many people have bailed out on their forces after they see that it is a support position.Make no mistake though, as Neophyte mentioned in her posting, when push comes to shove,i can easily be the last one in the room standing. With an attack of over 700 and magic at the same,i am fully capable of helping my teammates out of ANY bind that might come up.Its the versatility i love most about the force.I chose the support role by CHOICE and i play that role to the very best of my ability. It AINT for everyone!!!!!

being an FOnewm, i feel obligated to answer...the way i battle w/ the beasties is to send in a few magic attacks, check up on everyone, then go steal some TP back with sting tip. my force is pretty low level (34 when i wrote this), so maybe this strat wont work later in the game...who knows...but i agree that the classes really dont have all that many significant differences so i try to stick solely to magic attacks

I was once a force, but that character died. I came back as a humar who is enchanted by techniques. There are also three kinds of forces, 1) the ones who suck because they're "saving" their TP, 2) the homos who pick fonewm 'cuz he looks frooty, and 3) the people who do the name justice, moving throughout the support zone, blasting fire and lightning all over the place and shootin and slicing folk up, just like me, the humar who likes magic. But, on the real, there are fruits out there named latino heat and shit. whoo! now, that's gay.

i almost always play with this same girl that is a force, i love forces. they are really helpful as far as support, they are okay in combat, but overall i would never wanna be one cuz its harder to level up online, because your mainly jus support, i think when ver. 2 comes out, they should make it that forces get exp for actually helping team mates you know like they use shift and deband and no one had it on them originally and they get like 5 exp. or 10 exp. or 30 exp depending on the mode, or 50 exp. for the new ultimate mode. things like that would be great becasue i have no motivation to be a force cus i dont get to play often so i wouldnt be very strong for a long time. but yeah i have nuttin against forces, jay put me on your cool persons list cuz i like playing with forces its more of a challenge for me. i like challenges thats why i threw away my spread needle completely, all i use is double saber or holy ray (for my ranger) and for my hunter i use orotiagito, and soul eater. it aint that easy with them. well this reply is too long already, buhbye!

Hey man, we got the idea the first time. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif Yeah, I know, it was probably an accident...
...anyway, I don't think I should be getting into this, but I think my Force is decent in her own right: Level 57, around 360 HP (sucks of course), 838 TP, I play support to everyone around me, freeze with Rabarta to slow down fast V-Hard enemies down, attack the enemies with their weaknesses, and for some strange reason, my attack is around 600 with a Varista!!

How is it harder to level online? its easier, I just cast once hit everything and make sure you got plenty of shifta so you cheap bastards can kill everything with your lame spread needle http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif
Who needs to be support when we're supposedly the leader, at least so says the game haha.
