GC: Gather around PSOW posters... my alternative to Antares

Basically, this is for everyone here who is sick and tired of all those people over on Antares 8. Hopefully, more people on PSOW will see this other then the people who actually post in player matchup. Well, I scrounged around on all the servers, trying to find a ship/block that didn't "belong" to anyone or anything like that. The last thing I wanna do is invade someone's space/playing block. Anyway, I eventually landed on JP:Aldeberan:2. It seems to be away from any large group of people, yet the ship is populated enough where we wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. Don't wanna make it easy for the "people" that plague Antares 8 to just move/follow. So, come on by, I'll be on there occasionally and I hope to see all of you there too. Everyone is welcome. If enough people start to show up, I'd like to implement something. This someting being that when people make open teams, they put either Legit:(team name) or Not legit:(team name) so that it will be easier for people to tell. Ok, I hope this actually gets up off the ground. -waits for abdur to make it a sticky-

I doubt whether they will sticky this as the moderating team have already said they won't be changing blocks and that would be like they were making this an official block.

Hey, thanks for scouting out a block! I was wondering which JP block we could switch to, because that's a great disguise for us, I think, because you're right, there's always people on JP servers! Also, I used to be the kind of person who'd join any block that was populated just to find a team, but I was always too lazy to check the JP servers because I knew my chances of understanding them would be nill. So hopefully those other people who caused us to move out of Antares 8 are as lazy as I am! ^_^ Anyway, I'll be checking out that lobby soon, and thanks again for finding it ^_^

Ya-hoo! Finally we can play in peace. If u r on rite now, I am about to play some PSO. The only problem I have w/a Japanese ship/block is that for those ppls who only have dial-up, they'll have crappy lag. I have a BBA so I'll be there.

Doesn't playing in JP servers lag the hell out of your game as well as increase the chances of FSOD?

Well I've gone to JP servers quite a bit over time and have yet to FSOD or DC on one (crosses fingers). Sometimes the lag is bad.... but hey it gets bad on US servers from all the multiequipping and duping and just large numbers of people. It's really not that bad and well worth the little bit of extra lag to have peace and quiet for once, yet have people to play with.

I know Antares 8 has gone to hell, it had 3 spammers last night, but why go to a JP ship, why not on obscure block + some lobby on some other US ship?

Vega 8 is quite obscure... most I've seen there was maybe 8 people? All of whom I know as I was the one that brought them there. >.> Not to mention it is a US ship.

I go to vega 1 and 2 because I would have a more chance of having an episode 2 game.

well i've been really busy lately, havn't played pso in over a week>.<. the whole point of not using an obscure block/ship is because it would be super easy for people to find us. if some off the wall block all of a sudden started to have alot of people on it, the spammers/dimwits would just follow.

as for an official "meeting", i really have no idea. ._. -tries to think- its hard for me since i really never know when i'll be able to get on, but everyone else feel free to schedule things.

I like the idea of a JP block, it allows for JP people to come in as well and maybe give us a few pointers on how to play, tricks and all that...

Also if it's on a JP server and the Ant. 8 idiots follow over, I'm sure Sega Japan will take care of them unlike Sega US....

I've checked several times and usually there is no1 from PSOWorld on. I my play a lev or two and the find one of my frens online and move over to where they are playing. We should schedule a time to go play. I will be on late Sun. nite-Early Mon morning. But then again, I may just play on the Xbox version instead. . . . . I will check @that time tho. If we can get together and start exchangin guild cards, we could always check for each other online and move over to Aldebran 2.

Would Saturday nights work well for anyone? I mean, there's always the struggle of working around hectic schedules during the weekdays, so perhaps a Saturday game would work? Sundays could also work, but if most people are like me, we're probably doing our homework late that night and don't have time to do stuff (although sometimes I do manage http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif). Yeah, this is a good idea. I've recently got my TV hooked back up to my BBA and was wondering why antares 8 was so full of crap. Tonight at 8 is good for me, but don't expect me to do too well. Corrupted and lost everything. Now level 25, but I've heard some of the new quests are gr8 for exp. A little help would be nice.

Basically no one is there period. Technically there are to few people to care about this matter. I would hop to Aldeberan 2 a few times every time I play and there are only about 6 JP players? Most I've seen was 14 but were still all JP players. Also petitioning about a new block will just get people to hate you.

If we really wanna get ppl to our new "unofficial PSOWorld ship/block" we hafta get each other's guild cards and play w/each other. I'm not sayin we need to start a new klan or anythin, but this is the only way for us to get this goin.

Another thing we could do, is when we come here to PSOWorld, check to see who's online and IM them to meet us online. That way we can check for each other online and get Aldebaran 2 goin for us.

Hmm.. I never really stick to one or two ships or blocks. I just go wherever there's a good amount of teams and enough people so that if I were to create my own game I wouldn't have to wait an hour for a single person to join. I don't have a keyboard to sit around and talk with in the lobbies anyway.

This translates to Antares 8, Ant. 10, Vega 1&2, and some of the JP servers.

a good meeting time and place would be nice. i can be on late night, all night on fri and sat nights from 11 est on, but not through the week at all. i also don't have a keyboard, so keeping up with conversations is hard for me too. i would like to meet up with PSOw ppl too, without all the garbage that comes from random, annoying ppl. right now, i only have a few regulars i play with, so any others would be cool. i'm up for Ald2 if it works. in fact, i may stop in there tonight just to see if anyone's there.

We should just keep switching lobbies. I've never seen any spammers in lobbies 4 and above.

Apart from antares/8 i'm in spica/3 of the EU servers as well. Zim, our team leader, chose that as a good place to go, so feel free to join me there if i'm ever on. Then again i work in GMT so i may never be awake at the same time as you, lol. I usually go to antares 8 if i want a team game, but to spica 3 if i want to do some 1 player quests or to meet up with people. Lag isn't too bad, i've had times where there was none at all.

Well I've found that I've been playin a lot in Celestite 8 and Davburite 5 & 10. Since those are xbox ships i'm not sure if my GCN HL is still active. But when I do activate it I'll look ya'll up.
