maybe another silly woman's question..
but what else affects the items you find, i seem to get more cool stuff on the mines if i play thru the forest and caves in one sitting first.. maybe its just because i have to see crap stuff first, but i'd swear it sometimes..

A number of things. The hours you've been playing; I started getting more rares at about 100, and it's been increaisng with every few hours. The difficulty (obviously); you're gonna find more stuff on V-Hard. Section ID has some to do with it, but not a lot. And you don't have to be online to find rares, I've found all mine offline.
