Ep 1&2 Plus

I saw the new features posted by PSOW about the game. Do you HAVE to go online to play or is it the same as the regular Ep 1&2 offline? From what I read and understand, the broadband adapter is required. I am asking this because I don't go online....I lack funding.

It's the same as Ep.1&2, but, Online Quests are now offline...

and can you transfer your characters from normal ep1 & 2??
