View Full Version : Argh! My eye!

This is the second time something rather annoying has happened to my left eye. The first time I got a paper cut on my eye due to some idiot sitting in the dest in front of me swinging the papers back without looking behind him. (on the plus side I looked like a pirate with the patch for about a week or so)

Now I have a stye(sp?). Man it's really annoying. It's all swollen up and hurts to open and close it. I just hate it when something like this happens... Though as it is my left eye I expect more to happen to it as time goes on...

Finally compared to someone other than Harry Potter... I hate those movies only because that kid stole my haircut... To make matters worse I wear glasses. grr... Oh well at least the people that do it are too stupid to ever really know me anyway so I really don't pay attention to it anymore unless it gets obsessive... then I start to get pissed...

Simple way to fix your problem: get your eye remove and bye a fake glass one!

lol It's not quite that easy. And I don't want to lose depth perception either. A stye is in the skin around the eye not in the eye itself so removing the eye won't remove the pain, just some of the pressure. But the pressure would be back with a glass eye so that would take me back to square one minus an eye...

good point (i spelt buy wrong). But you could bye a glass eye that looks like a cats or something. Then you could walk around and scare the outa everyone.

Blitzkommando
Jan 12, 2004, 11:22 PM
Or I could forget about that and just get those extremely freaky contacts that do all that without having to remove the eyes. Though those are probably banned from school for some reason or another. My grandfather's brother had a glass eye. O.o

Contacts aren't banned from any school if they are used for medical reasons. If there is one, that's the first i've heard of.

Student:Just because my contacts make my pupils silver does not mean i'm not using them for medical purposes

Teacher:Prove it

Student: Okay *hands over medical records*

Teacher:DAMN!

Student: Now i'm gonna sue the school. Having known you where going to say that, i recorded you.

Teacher:WHAT!

Student: See yah in the unemployment line! *runs off*

I wish I could do that to my English teacher... She's really annoying and waaay too enthusiastic about some of the books... the ones I hate of course.

Its also kinda like the immortal guy in Black and White, the one who never dies, so you can have endless fun throwing him around. he also says the stupidest shit, like if you throw him off a cliff he says:
"Ah! mah eye!"
"My thorax!"
"My septum!"

I hate the whole Harry Potter franchise, not just because the comercialisation of books pisses me off, but also because I have an identical, disfiguring lightning shaped scar on my forehead, caused by my dad dropping me on my head as a child (also probably destroyed the hearing in my right ear). I have tried to cover this up for years now with an unfashionable fringe, but what do I get from my boyfriend now? "Hey, show so-and-so your Harry Potter scar!"

wait a second, if u wear glasses, how did u get a paper cut on u eye? were ur glasses off when u got cut?

anyway, sorry to hear that, mabye u should try somethin to numb the pain, like ice or somethin from the pharmacy, that might help with the pain.

Kid got a papercut on his eye in my school last year. 5 graders had hung up projects from the ceiling and the kid was being an idiot adn running through them. Shortly followed by AHHHHHHHHH!!!

To Shim: I'm not sure how Harry Potter has to do anything with this topic. Though i'm deaf in my right ear, hereditary though, it'll skip generations...like the generations of my sibbling damnit! I had to be pulled out by a plunger vacuum, one doctor and 2 nurses helping to pull (they attached it to my head). Maybe there is some connection between deafness, strange things happening to your head when your born, and being mentally unstable. Wow, that was off topic.

This was before I wear glasses. A very long time ago it was.

[edit]Oh and ironically I fell off of my bead when I was like 3 or 4 and gashed my head on the lamp. Thus I have a scar right in the middle of my forehead as well... Curse you Harry!

Perhaps I should have quoted:

That make more sense now?

*cough*

You really, really do not want to lack depth perception. 20 years, and I am still attempting to learn how to relate to the world and figure out once and for all just -where- the fuck I am in relation to everything else. I have no concept whatsoever of space or depth or distance or 3 dimensions or anything like that. The world is flat, it always has been, and it always will be. I have a condition with my eyes where one of them has vision far worse than in the other, and my brain essentially ignores the information from that eye. If I've ever seen properly, I don't remember it.

Oddly enough, I do great at those spatial perception things with stuff like figuring out which flat thing this geometric shape unfolds to, and whick geometric shape does this flat thing make, heh. Somehow I can visualize this even though I've never seen it and should have no concept of it. O_o;

Depth perception aside.
A projectile glass eye would really be awesomely cool.

random person: Hi I am a jerk.
me: Oh really? *shoot eye and hit jerk right in his eye so it breaks and pops out and he lost his eye*

..
Ya.

Dime,

Somebody needs to say it.

Shut the fuck up.

I'm sick of you following all my posts, making snide little digs. I am far and away more coherent and from what I have seen, intelligent than you, so your little remarks just don't even begin to scratch the surface, when you attempt to evaluate my psyche.

The "I'm smarter than you argument"? Oh please.

I refuse to believe that someone who throws tantrums and smashes herself over the head with a keyboard could be even half as smart as I am.

Conceited? Yes.

This argument is over, I don't feel like getting banned, yet. PM me or IM me if you want.

If I had a glass eye I'd put it in people's food.

Keep on pushing your luck with me Dime, you just keep on doing it.

The most disturbed people, who still manage to function in society, are usually the smartest people in the world. Look at the world of art and literature, full of headcases who by your reckoning are stupid, yet to claim you are more intelligent than them makes YOU the conceited one.

Sorry Dime, if you continue to question my intelligence, I will shove it in your face. My intelligence is about all I have going for me. Why do you suppose, still in my twenties, with no formal further education, I have managed to work myself into a position of respect? Do you suppose for a moment, that somebody with my problems would last two freaking minutes if they weren't smart enough to work through it?

When was the last time YOU taught yourself a foreign language good enough to work as a translator, and despite leaving school at 16, managed to hone your writing skills enough to get a job as a professional writer?

Please feel free to direct me to the most creative, intellectual thing you have produced and posted on the internet, and if you care to see it, I will do likewise.

Because all I see at the moment, is an insecure little boy hiding behind smart-ass flames.

Dang you make come backs good. It's actually intresting. Not all that dissing, you actually have reason behind it.

For Dime: She's got the smart part down. I mingle in physics that some adults don't understand. I have a few mental people in my school as well. One can shoot basckets better then any of us, he makes nearly every shot. Another I find annoying because she fights with one of the kids in my class, but he's equally annoying, if not more. Anyways, she can draw like ladyjaderiver can, although you probably haven't seen any of it. Fact is it's true. Mostly it's because life sucks so bad and we end up immersing ourselves in knowledge so that one day we are respected, others do it because it's what their good at it. And they don't quit, they just keep chuggin at it. Most others keep something they really enjoy up for a month or two, then lose intrest in it. Face it, your an ignorant idiot.
