Cheating on PSOX is making it hard to play Battle and C-Mode

As many as you know, PSOX is infested with cheaters, hackers, and a seemingly infinite amount of players using hacked items. This is making Battle and Challenge mode very hard for me, but not in the way that you might first think.

The problem is that all this cheating is making for a LOT of REALLY BAD PSO players. By my count, I have not taken part in 45 (+/- 1 or 2) Battles on PSOX. My battle record shows 13 wins and 1 loss, with 0 disconnects. Something doesn't add up. Oh wait, everything adds up. Those 31 missing battles are the result of people disconnecting on me. You see, when you take away most of these kids' hacked items, they are totally and completely useless at playing the game. I will be at least 15,000 points ahead of them in battle when they say "This sucks, I'm leaving. I thought I could still use my Al Rappies", or something and disconnect.

The same goes for Challenge mode. I haven't really given C-Mode an honest effort yet in this version, but I already know that it's going to be no different. I'll create a team, wait for 3 people to join, explain the challenge if they don't know what to do already, and start. Then the fun begins. Not only do these idiots not know how to fight without having a HUGE artificial advantage, but their already greedy nature makes things even worse. One guy will run around and take all the items. Sure, he probably needs them because he's utterly useless at playing PSO, but there's still teamwork to think about. As we all know, teamwork is the most important element of Challenge mode.

Forget the trading economy and the "fun" factor. Cheating is ruining more parts of PSO than these - parts that most of us don't even realize, and it's really making me angry.

My favorite thing to do on V1 was to force enemies against the cheater so he'd get 0wned, then leave him behind.

Another sweet thing we used to do when confronted against an annoyance was to fight DF, and then shoot while his soul's being possessed. This is by far the worst frustration in PSO, and also a proof of how much your teammates "love" you. Here's something to rant about, people who quote the whole post of another and only say 1 damn word or a little sentence. I mean, does it take too much effort to acctually post a reply? As I see it this should/would normally result in your post being deleted as spam.

But anyways, this reminds me of Ver 2 towards the end of it. I was one of the few FO's still battling and every time I managed to find a battle (a rare occurance) they would dc about half way into the battle. -_-

I cheat now, I try not to bring it online, if I can help it. I don't do anything distructive tho, like make uber weapons or log in games.

I dupe, because I don't want to lose anything I've worked for because I get screwed by a B/FSOD. I had lost my main FOmar due to one, my first night back online. Thankfully I had duped all my important items, weapons, armors, etc... and recreated him with a level 146 AR code (tho my guy was about 152).

I agree that PSOX is filled with lots of cheaters and some of those cheaters are really bad PSO players, however not all cheaters are bad players. I hate it when people make the assumption that they are. Some cheaters are actually very experienced players that are just lazy when they want to level multiple characters.

As for Battle Mode if I person starts a battle with you they should have the decency to finish it. I personally do not care for Battle Mode.

I do not understand why you have not given challenge mode a chance. It is your loss. Psox has some great challenge mode players and I know some are cheaters in the regular game. You should really try it out and we could always use a another challenge mode player. Most people I know play challenge on Davburite 10 or Celestite 8. Just let the people in the lobby know you want to do challenge mode and assemble your team.

Thanks for the info. The only people I could find so far that were willing to play Challenge mode were noobs on Hackatite.

I never play on Hackatite. The people there just make mad. Most of the stupid children and other various morons play there. I avoid that ship like the plague. I have been playing Dav or Cel for the most part. I have occasionally found a decent player on Hackatite, but they are few and far between. I honestly do not care so much about the cheating. Most of the cheaters I know are just lazy and want to level their characters faster. They know the game very well. There are also the newb cheaters that just piss me off because they do not know how to play.
