What's it like online these days? (GCN)

I haven't played PSO Online in about a year. But I'm getting fed up with the MMORPG scene (too much work involved in those games).

I originally left PSO due to the lack of a keyboard. But now that they're only $20 I'm thinking of coming back.

So what's it like online nowadays? Lotsa cheaters? Good games? Lotsa fun? Or is everyone just sitting around waiting for PSO 3? (In the final days of DC PSO everyone was just sitting around waiting for GCN PSO).

Please let me know.

If you have tyhe friends it is. In one year cheating has gone really bad and is hard to find a good session in a random open game.

About the ep3 thingo don't worry. Since is very different game it is not a replacement for actual PSO GC. It is more like a complement or alternative. Actually I play both games. After 1 month of Ep3 novelty I started to play PSO Episode 1&2 again but without forgetting Episode 3.

It also depends on where you go...

In Some places, its so peaceful, people talk and chat and have a good time...

While in others (Like Vega-1, Antares-1-1) have alot of people who CONSTANTLY KEEP HITTING a Symbol Chat Thing that makes a ROAR noise or a Whistle!

Saying get with SSJ something! xx; It annoys me like Crazy!

If you don't go to the superpopulated ships of Vega 1 or 2 and Antares 8 you should have a good time. Those places are where the majority of the annoying jerks/dupers/cheaters hang out. If you are just looking for fun try Deneb or Altair. Those are much less crowded and the people tend to be calmer.

I myself hang out in Vega 8 however. It's empty and my friends know that's where I go. I'm always looking for someone to join me so if you see a lone person in Vega 8 it is probably me! Again, with Episode 3 and Plus on the horizon people seem to be coming back to PSO, I know a couple friends who are. vega 1 and 2 are full of cheaters and antares 8 well thats where alot of people from here still hangout, i'm usually there or Ayclone 6

I've noticed a rise in legitness, since duping causes corruption. Other than that, usual spammers, and cheaters still exist.

No it doesn't. There is a step in the process that if you mess up, you will FSOD yourself, but simply duping does not cause corruption. Don't spread rumors that aren't true http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

those symbols people keep using drive me crazy too...i usually go to ant 8, but in lobby 10 where's it's a lot quieter. =) but i would say yes, get back online. meet people from here, and have fun!

Online is definitely more fun. I'm thinking about coming back to PSO, but poverty happens, especially when you feel the need to spend all of your money on a video card. The only drawback I can see to playing online is that you'll never be able to play offline again because it'll seem so lonely and boring. I need people to do symbol chats every 10 seconds..

Ive been playing online since like a month before last summer and I can't play offline if i tried.
I literally fall asleep...

I haven't play offline since I got the Router at my house, finally, me and my brother can play online at the same time. And the rise of legitness is a good thing, i used to be un-legit, i used weps like TJ and BKB, but the game got boring and I stopped my un-legit ways. I now use wepons I foud myslef. The game is way more fun like that, ppl having exactly the same equipment is now way more rare, everybody is different and having fun. I usually hang out at Antares 8 or 10 and ancylone 6. If you play at antares 8, stay away from lobby 1 and the evil SSJ!

Yes, offline loses it's thrill a bit after you play online for a while and actually interact with people.

My first online experience sucked though. I got up to level 84 offline before I could go online with the Dreamcast. Happily online for about a couple days before I get hacked and turned into NOL from the "Journalistic Persuit" quest. Level 5, HUnewearl. T.T Hackers suck.
