???? Element weapons theroy

Latly, your self-proclaimed MAG professor has been doing some testing with ???? weapon elements. My first test subject was a ???? Laser I found. At first, it was tekkered to be a Seize Laser. Accidently, I tested it again. This time, it became an Arrest Laser. I think to myself. Wow. I should try this again. So I go back down to vhard forest, and find a ????Raygun. I tekker it 4 times, switching between Panic Raygun and Riot Raygun, never going to the 2 higher elements, Havoc and Chaos. I tested again with various weapons, and came to this conclusion:

A ???? weapon that tekkers to become one of the 2 lower elements of the element type, can only be one of those two lowly types, no matter how much you tekker it again. A ????Weapon that tekkers out to become one of the two higher element types can switch between just those two. Meaning, in theroy, if you get, say a Soul Raygun, you can tekker it some more times and get a Giest Raygun. Any thoughts?

What I do know is the elements and the photons on the weapon can be tweaked by tekking it multiple times.

In the case of photons, unless a ??? weapon has no % to begin with, it can be tweaked +/- 10% roughly.

I normally like to tweak the element to get the best value of a weapon, since element increases the rarity for the weapon. I can make more money selling it, even if I have to tek it 10-15 times. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_razz.gif

I've had weapons which were 3rd tier which would get identified as either of the two lower tier elements. It seems like the Tekker stands a decent chance of getting the best element the first time around, but if you go and doubt him it'll just get worse and worse and worse...until like 10 tries later he'll finally give you the 3rd tier assessment again.

If you try the assessment 10 times and get only Heart and Mind, it might still really be Soul! I would have missed out on my Soul Calibur if I weren't so persistent...

a week ago i found a geist sceptor and the % sucked so i retekked it and it totally changed to a soul sceptor but i finally changed it to a giest sceptor with 40% dark sooo cool for my pinkal force

You don't always get better things everytime you get a weapon re-tekked. The different tekkers all act differently. Some tend to give you the best you can get the first time, and others, you have to try several times. My tekker tends to give me the best the first time, but if I say no, it usually requires several more times to get the best again.

Occationally you should hear a sound played when you agree with the analysis of the weapon. When you hear this sound it means you got the best you could get from that weapon.

Anyone know if you find more of vertain elements in certain IDs? I seem to find a lot of Tempest weapons (2 diskas, Rippers, Gunguir, Caliber), and a decent amout of Hell weapons, but never Geist, Soul, or Bezerk in my ID.

Wu, I'm guessing you have a Viridia ID. I have one, and the ones I mostly get are Tempest-style as well. This is going to be my next theroy.

I agree with that theory, the same thing happens for me alot, switching between the second and last forms of the elements.

Also..if you notice.. you seem to get the best( like seize to arrest ) if you have 5 stars instead of 4..hard to find..but you should also test this out..

Actually, you hear that sound when it's been tekkered how it was originally spawned, which isn't neccesarily the best. A tekker can identify a weapon as better then it's suppose to be.
Of course since all tekkers are evil lil scum, working together, this doesn't happen much =P

Err not true in all cases. Say you are like Skyly, and you get a ???? Calibur. You have a chance to get all 4 stages of the element on that sword. But if you get a ???? Railgun you probably won't get all stages. But I am not sure, I think that you can always get all of them, you just have to tek for a LONG time.

I have recently read somewhere (???) that if you tried for a loooong 5 hours that you get something with the %'s along the numbers over 75% on at least 4 of the 5 stats. I think that it was BS but you never know. 5 Hours is a very long time.

Using my Purplenum RAcasel I found a ??? Raygun in Mines Hard offline. The first two tekks said Soul but the third said Geist. (I gave this to my force, and while it is supposed to steal 6% of TP, it only does so online. Offline it will not steal more than 50 TP. Anyone know anything about this, or have a similar experience with HP or anything?) I have heard that Purplenum is best for Force id's because they find spells, maybe this carries over to weapons as well. I find many TP stealing weapons. Geist Raygun, by the way, I have found to be the best weapon for a force. Long range to keep you away from the monsters, lotsa TP to be had for nothing. Mine seems to hit about 80% of the time.

Hey teflon, you're wrong about the %'s, I recently found a DB's sabre with 55% dark, and then there's the Valentines Dragon Slayer with 60% to everything. It could possibly go to 100%. Just have to wait a while and see. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Hmm... It seems like purplenum seems to find a lot of Tempest and Gush weapons. I've found a couple Geist, a few Spirit, two or three of both Blizzard and Burning (I once found a Burning Ripper!), one Havok, and one Berserk, but to date, haven't found any Hell weapons yet.

The Versus guide states the limits on Draw series weapons depends upon the level of play--30, 60, and 90 for normal, hard, and very hard respectively.

There must be similar limits for the Heart series weapons, although the Guide doesn't state what they are.
